What a wonderful experience it was to have Angela as our petsitter! Angela agreed to arrive a whole extra day early since we needed to stay closer to the airport for our early flight the next day. When she arrived she already knew all our pets names, food servings and routine. Throughout our vacation, Angela sent us daily updates and photos. All the pets looked very happy! Not only did she take great care of our pets and home, but Angela stayed during the Tornado weather that went across 4 states. Fortunately there was no damage but she was prepared, calm and ready to take care of the pets should anything happen. We felt so relieved to know she was there! We came home to a clean home and very happy pets :) Hope to have Angela back to petsit again!
We really enjoyed our stay looking after the Ruby M and Sheldon, the tortoise, in Issy & Joe's lovely house and garden in Chandler's Ford near Winchester. Issy and Joe were most welcoming, preparing a delicious meal on our first night including a yummy chocolate mousse. We really enjoyed chatting with them and meeting other members of their family before they headed off to a family event the next morning. Communication was very good both before and during our stay. Ruby Mackerel is very easy to care for as she eats well and comes and goes when expected. She was a little cautious with us initially but always welcomed a passing stroke and, by the end of our stay, was happy to let Kim indulge his pleasure in brushing her. Never having cared for a tortoise, we weren't sure what to expect and were a little surprised at the affection we felt for Sheldon by the time we left. You can't help but root for him in his efforts to escape his indoor run, explore the house and "chase" Ruby M. Given the lovely weather, it was great to be able to give him the run of the tortoise-secure section of the garden and learn which plants are his favoured hiding places when it is time to return indoors. We really enjoyed relaxing in the garden, listening out for woodpeckers, spotting nuthatches and marvelling at bird-feeder squirrel acrobatics. Being so well located, we were also able to enjoy visits with family and friends in Winchester and to start to explore the New Forest. Thank you to Issy, Joe, Ruby M and Sheldon for affording us the opportunity and ensuring we had a lovely time.
I stayed with Zeus for 2 months this spring and cannot rave enough about this guy! He is so loveable and friendly and stole my heart from the get go! Stephanie and Neil were great hosts, the house was spotless when I got there, not easy to manage with a shedding dog and baby I assure you! They kept in touch throughout their time away and quickly got back to me about questions that came up. The neighbourhood is very friendly and Zeus loved meeting all the other dogs and kids along the way. Lots of parks within walking distance and so many supermarkets close by made it an easy stay. Definitely a 5 Star stay!
I had such a lovely time sitting for Karrie and Sam! Oliver the cat is joy, and Karrie and Sam were really helpful in making sure I was perfectly prepared for looking after him. Sion is beautiful and I was made to feel really welcome in enjoying my stay. Thank you!
Marieke's place is a combination of comfort and creativity, conveniently located near the city center of Breda. Her furry family is easy to take care of. In addition, she cares for a stray cat as well who goes by the name of Paco. Fender is out most of the day. He comes in for cuddles and play time with the laser. Beware, he opens doors (not kidding) and he will come to collect his cuddles in bed. This is the most adorable thing to witness!! He likes his dry food but he absolutely loves sticks, especially the purple ones we purchased at Albert Heijn. Once he knows where you hide them, he will find a way to get to them, even in a closed box! Needless to say... the guy is intelligent. The rabbits are easy to take care of as well. They seem to like carrots, apples and zucchini. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Thank you Marieke for being such a lovely positive person. We recommend your sit and your furry family.
