Ruby kept in contact with us while she was house sitting. When she had questions regarding the animals, she did not hesitate to text us and get our feedback. That to us is one of the things that makes a great sitter. If they are unsure of something, ask.
We had a wonderful time over New Year with the delightful Watson and Oscar in Andy and Anne’s peaceful , lovely home . The dogs took us on some really lovely walks in the area , through woods , to Wastwater lake , and to a very nice cafe for coffees , tea and cake . Views were spectacular and we felt so lucky to start 2023 in this amazing part of the country with these two friendly dogs . Our bed was so very cosy and comfortable . Communication with Andy and Anne was excellent ; clear , friendly and prompt . Poor Oscar was a bit poorly on our second to last day which was later diagnosed as an ear infection .Andy and Annie came home early to look after him and kept closely in touch with us which was very reassuring .We understand Oscar is recovering well . We would highly recommend this pet sit and would be delighted to return .

I had a lovely time at Diane's home and enjoyed caring for and spending time with her sweet+shy kitty, Sugar. Diane answered all my questions about Sugar's care and made sure to have detailled instructions in her manual that she left with me. Thank you, Diane!
I absolutely loved this house sit and would be thrilled to house sit here again anytime. The location is beautiful, the house is comfortable, and the animals are all super lovely. Silver (the dog) and my pup became best friends. Silver is very well behaved and easy to manage with her perimeter fence collar. The cat (Suzie) is very friendly and sweet. This was my first time watching birds, but Jim and Madeleine gave me detailed instructions and I found myself really enjoying them. If you want a beautiful house sit in the woods, I definitely recommend this one!
Tela is one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet. She quietly will keep you company whether you are writing, sleeping, sitting. She is super cute and like a kitten and easy to care for. Tim's apartment is comfortable and has all you need. It's conveniently located to multiple nearby subway stops and buses and the area has all you might need with a drugstore right across the street and grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, park nearby. I hope to spend more time with Tela in the future, she will steal your heart.
Mike & Katie are kind and warm hosts. Every interaction with them was pleasant and calming. They gave me detailed instructions on our video call as well as in person. Of course, the highlight of this sit was Shani and Tilly. They both have their own unique personalities. Shani is the goofy and funny one that wants to play and bounce around. Tilly is laid back but is passionate about her treats and meal times. I love how they both act when it was time for a treat. Mike and Kate have a well-appointed, comfortable and very clean home that feels warm and homey. Old Town, Alexandria is the perfect area for a sit because it is very walkable and have plenty of shops, restaurants, and other sights close by. I looked forward to the walks 3x per day and so did Shani and Tilly. And of course one of the perks is off-street parking as well. I miss Shani and Tilly and if I’m available, I will definitely sit with them again.
