From 2nd to Feb 13th of Feb 2023, Thamires and I had the incredible opportunity to house and pet sit for Jeff in the lovely, inclusive, and sunny Seattle. Our first lovable experience was met with an affectionate and energetic Husky named Casper. He is the best one! Our stay in Jeff's home was nothing short of wonderful. The house was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. Its location was ideal too, offering easy access to local amenities and the vibrant city life of Seattle. He lives in the best area!! Upfront the Hawks Stadium! It's like the best place, you will see that! The views are the best in Seattle, you will see that! From Jeff's apartment, you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city's downtown area and the bustling Port of Seattle, with some iconic landmarks such as the Space Needle. That's really impressive! Additionally, the Port of Seattle offers a unique perspective, with its bustling waterfront, cargo ships, and the majestic Olympic Mountains in the distance. The combination of the city's architectural beauty and the natural surroundings makes the views from an apartment in Seattle truly remarkable. Jeff chose the best Seattle point of view for sure! Casper, the Husky, was a joy to care for. He was friendly, well-behaved, and loved his daily walks around the neighborhood. Everybody knows Casper there, he is kinda famous in the area! As is typical of his breed, Casper was very energetic and intelligent. His playfulness brought a constant stream of happiness into our days. He made our stay not just a housesitting experience, but a truly unforgettable experience. We feel like he is our friend and we always try to be his friend too! :) Jeff was the perfect host. He was communicative, organized, and provided detailed instructions for Casper's care, making our days much easier. Jeff is very nice, always! We feel like we have a friend in Jeff! His amazing nature suggests that he was open and responsive to any questions or concerns, ensuring effective communication throughout the process. Being organized is another positive trait, as it implies that Jeff was likely well-prepared and able to provide a smooth experience for his next guests. Lastly, his provision of detailed instructions for Casper's care indicates that he was considerate and attentive to the needs of his guests, making their job of taking care of Casper a great experience. Everything we needed, Jeff provided us! Overall, these qualities make sure that Jeff was a reliable and accommodating host. You will have for sure a great experience! Caring for Casper is a breeze, thanks to his cooperative nature. We loved to provide him with some SPA days with grooming sessions at home haha, he remains calm and composed throughout. He loves FURminator!! His obedience and willingness to learn new tricks make him a joy to train. Casper's intelligence and eagerness to please ensure that he quickly becomes a well-mannered and obedient member of any family. We loved the time we lived with him! Beyond his emotional support, Casper's playful spirit is infectious. He loves engaging in games of fetch or chasing after his favorite squeaky toy. Watching him bound through the park, his tail wagging with pure joy, is a sight that warms the heart. Casper's energy and enthusiasm are contagious, making every moment spent with him a delightful adventure. Seattle itself provided the perfect backdrop for our pet-sitting adventure. The city is vibrant and full of life, offering a wide range of activities and attractions. We were able to explore the beautiful parks and trails with Casper, taking in the breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. The area where Jeff lives is particularly lovely, with a welcoming community and plenty of pet-friendly amenities. As a Husky, Casper displayed all the wonderful traits that are characteristic of the breed. He is intelligent, energetic, and loves to be active. We enjoyed taking him on long walks and engaging him in stimulating playtime. Casper's enthusiasm for life was contagious, and we found ourselves constantly amazed by his boundless energy and zest for adventure. Continuing to welcome Casper into your life means embracing a loyal and loving companion who will bring endless joy and comfort. His exceptional qualities make him the best choice for anyone seeking a faithful and delightful canine companion. So why wait? In summary, our 11-day stay in Seattle was a deeply rewarding experience. We had the chance to explore a fantastic city, care for an amazing dog (Casper is the best one!), and meet a wonderful homeowner, such a great person. We would gladly sit for Jeff and Casper again, anytime, and we highly recommend this opportunity to other sitters. It's 5 stars or more if we could choose more stars!!! Tarryn was super helpful providing detailed, extensive information about the transportation system and more. Any questions I asked were answered quickly and with great detail. We are from the US and were unfamiliar with German customs but Tarryn made the stay worry free. I got really sick during the three weeks we were there and Tarryn referred me to her doctor who prescribed meds and got me better. There is so much to do in the area and the public transportation system made it easy to get around. The park by the apartment is spectacular, as many sitters have referred to. Mia and Sofìe are cute and loveable.
We loved everything about our sit for Lisa and her fabulous Lucky cat! Lisa’s apartment is lovely, bright, comfortable, clean and in a great secure building located in a lively neighborhood with an abundance of excellent restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Everything we wanted to see and do in DC was easily accessible via the Metro stop across the street. Lucky is the sweetest, cutest, cuddliest, friendliest cat we’ve ever met. She was always near or on top of us, looking for scratches, cuddles and warmth. Communicating with Lisa before, during and after the sit was extremely easy and she has great systems in place to make everything go smoothly for both Lucky and her sitters. We hope to have the chance to sit for Lisa and Lucky again.
Jeff and Lynn are so welcoming and friendly. Milo and shoop are two big bags of cuddly fun. While charcoal dares to tolerate the dogs, but is purry and friendly to the human guests. The house is wonderful and the downtown of Hendersonville has lots of great restaurants and shopping. This Sit is a keeper and will love to repeat in the future.
The area is unique and historic. The Aviary, Randyland, The Matress Factory (art displays, they don't sell mattresses) are all within easy walking distance and the local bus line provides easy access to other area sights without having to stress about driving in an unfamiliar area. There's a pub almost directly across the street. If you're lucky enough to sit here be prepared to put up a fight with Kota. He does his best to train you to give him whatever he wants and isn't afraid to make the most of his irresistible puppy dog eyes to accomplish that goal. Lots of belly rubbing and some scratching between his ears and you'll be able to keep him on his regular schedule and have a friend for life. Of course he's not opposed to a few treats now and then. ; )
Molly and Shawn have a lovely home in Salem just a short walk from the centre and they were great with communication. Jack and Kai are sweet pups who love playing and cuddles! I had a great stay!
