Jim and I really enjoyed sitting for Alex . A lovely family, home and two of the most adorable dogs we have ever met! A great location , lovely village of shops, cafes , great atmosphere and friendly locals. Our meeting was easy relaxed and Alex and her family made me feel welcome in their home immediately. Dave and Freddie , obviously very loved and lovable dogs were so easy and fun to look after. For Jim and I it felt like a real holiday and we are really looking forward to sitting for them again.
A wonderful relaxing country sit with two wonderful, playful, happy dogs who truly enjoy their daily walks in the woods. When is the last time you could lay in green grass, smell the earth, the freshness, see and smell the clear blue sky with no city smog, experience the quietness and catch the numerous deer all around you? Shelly and her family are truly warm prople, love their dogs and are great hosts. They are great communicators, very welcoming of you in their home with free use of foods in frig, walking boots, rain gear making your walks more pleasant. Be aware of the little town of Abingdon, southwestern VA, home of Barter Theater (not to be missed), The Tavern (reservations largely required) , The Martha to be visited opposite Barter and VA Creeper Trail for biking enthusiasts. A memorable sit to return to again and again!
Janae and Mark are kind and sweet. Their place is a peaceful retreat at the end of a quiet street with wonderful views. Communication was fast and easy. Mario is a handsome character, he may not show you much attention, but don’t worry, Smudge will make up for it by smothering you with rubs and cuddles. Beau is a gentle giant and I hope to sit for him some day! Thanks for everything!
Wow, what a wonderful catsit-experience, which confirms that my decision to register with Trusted Housesitters was one of the best decisions, I've made! Mary and Lady are some of the sweetes and funniest souls, I've ever sitted. They have both great characters and are extremely affectionate and cuddly, very communicative and really easy to take care of. You feel in a minute, that they are very much loved by Serena and James. I immediately felt in love with them too, and I'm already missing them terribly. Serena is a wonderful host. She is super friendly, welcoming and I felt at home from the first moment. Communication with her prior and during to the sit was unproblematic and she gave clear instructions on everything I could need during the sit. The house in itself is in a rural, quiet and peaceful area. I loved to listen to the sheep's in the morning with a cup of coffee in their spacious garden. The house in itself is spacious too and comes with everything that you could possibly need in your time (parking lot, BBQ, piano, bath tub, coffeemachine, all kitchen equipment, ..). With a car you need 5-10 min to Lara station which brings you directly to Geelong or Melbourne. I did it all with a bike and I needed 20 min to the station, it was absolutely doable. Thank you both for trusting me with your furries and for making my start in Australia so easy and convenient. If you want to take care of super sweet and funny cats in a cozy house, don't hesitate to sit for them. Highly recommended!! 😊
Our stay with Billy and Bobby was lovely. We met Amsterdam with a couple of very peculiar furry ones! Going out for a walk with these two is so much fun, Billy loves to play with the ball, well... He likes to go after it but Bobbie brings it back, they are a great team to play together! Billy is very calm and tender, he loves cuddles. He's a dog that doesn't ask for much, really, and you can't help but adore him. Bobbie is... the queen of the house. She loves the attention, being with you all the time and well, all the love that a queen wants. Anne and her husband made us feel at home, with many recommendations, very attentive to everything. The house very clean. Without a doubt, a very loving and attentive family. It is one of the sittings that we have enjoyed the most.
This was a great house and pet sitting experience. Jerry and Angela were super hospitable. I would do it again.
