We met Ben over a Zoom call but never physically met him since his arrival and departure times were dictated by train and bus schedules. Ben uses public transportation and may not have a car; we provided our car for him to get to town and back, etc. Ben is a kind man and meticulous housesitter. As others have said he barely leaves a trace of his being there. The only thing missing for us was a bit more communication from him. It would have put us at ease knowing about his interactions with Pi and how things were going at home. It was more difficult for us because we had never connected with him in person. That is a lesson learned for us.
Samantha and her family were wonderful petsitters. They were totally flexible with arriving and departing which was a prerequisite for this sit due to family issues. We felt very comfortable leaving our home and dogs with them after doing a zoom introduction and house tour. Great communicators before, during and after the site. They watered my plants and garden so I came home to a gorgeous garden. They walked our dogs MORE than we required so our dogs were looking really fit when we got home! The house was spotless and well cared for. I would highly recommend them for your petsitting needs and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.
