I left my heart in Burleigh Heads! With Yaya and Aguero. Talk about 'the odd couple' in the best of ways! A bulldog (Aguero, the stubbornest of girls) and a Border Collie (Yaya, the sweetest of girls). They are great mates - other than the daily playful sparring from Aguero towards Yaya when we go for beach walks ... Fed up with Yaya always claiming centre stage (needy girl), she gets her own back in a funny, theatrical way! The "I'll show you who's really boss" kind of way! Beautiful dogs! Beautiful house and location, almost perched over its own private little forest (best soaked up in the pool or from the deck) in Burleigh heights. Kathryn and Tom gave me the warmest of welcomes and told me generously to help myself. I love the style of the house. Minimalism, yet warm with wood and stone and lots of green views! An amazing dining and BBQ area for outdoor lifestyle and balmy evenings. Kathryn communicated with me promptly when required and appreciated my feedback and onslaught of photos and videos of the girls! I'd be back in a shot for sure! Paradise with pets.
At this point, we have done many house sits and we have to say that sitting for Juliet and Philip was one of the best so far, they were great hosts and made us feel very comfortable and at home right away. Their two beautiful Labradors are honestly the most well behaved and sweetest dogs we have ever come across. They were very good on walks and very friendly and cuddly in the evenings. Their home and surrounding area are incredibly picturesque so there is no shortage of beauty and nice walks to be enjoyed. This really is the ideal house sit. We hope to see you both again soon. Sheila and her family were so kind and welcoming! We loved Linus and George and had such a fun time getting to know their individual personalities. The house was beautiful and clean and made for a very comfortable stay. We very much enjoyed our time here!
I had a wonderful time looking after Rebel for Simon and Beverly. Rebel was an absolute sweetheart who stole a little corner of my heart. He enjoyed company and had the cutest little squeaks and maintained a very noble countenance at all times - his mane was particularly spectacular! He loved being brushed and would flirt his way into a few extra sessions. Simon and Beverly were as lovely in person as they were on the screen and were kind and helpful throughout my stay. They were well organised and very understanding when I was slightly delayed due to my train hitting a deer! I cannot recommend them both enough and when Beverly says Rebel will make you fall in love with him, you'd better believe it! Thank you for an outstanding visit.
Kai and Gabi were amazing hosts. Their house is simply beautiful. Full of nature and good vibes. Neighbors were very friendly and it has the perfect location with a supermarket within 15 min walking distance and a direct bus to Hennef within 5 min walking distance. Kai left us a complete manual that help us to follow instructions and tasks very easily. Also lent us his car for any emergency. If you are looking for a nature retirement, peacefulness, and a sunset view, do not hesitate to stay at Kai and Gabi's home.
Great hosts, great cats, great location, great house! :) Kara is a communicative and understanding host. Cory Trevor and Randy were such two different souls whom we've enjoyed spending time. Working from home was so easy since there were two separate workstations. We would love to pet-sit again in the future if possible. I already miss Randy's messing with us while praying and Cory Trevor's making biscuits and purrs whenever possible. Thanks for having us guys!
