Kim and Chris are very friendly and welcoming. They have a great home, so close to the sea, shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment but still very peaceful. Herbert is lovely young dog, who adapted very easily to having us as his adoptive carers for the week. He was a sweetie.
Gracie is the sweetest pup! She is easy going and loves to play, we had a fun visit with her. We sent over photos every day and got to see the highlights of Gail's trip too. We had great communication with Gail and she left detailed instructions for the house and caring for Gracie, which was appreciated. The home is lovely and has a lush back yard with lots of succulents and fruit trees. It is a wonderful part of Pasadena. The home was clean and has everything you need for cooking. Thank you for the bottle of wine, we appreciate it and it was very thoughtful. Thanks again.
This was a lovely house/pet sit. Arlo and the kitties were great company. Marion and Will were excellent hosts, and had clear directions and expectations on pet care. The neighbors were delightful.
Stefany and Miles were very welcoming into their home. We came over a day before the sit to meet Leia and get the rundown on her daily schedule. They took us for a walk with Leia to learn how to handle her around other dogs since she is very strong and can hyper-focus on them. The house was compact but very comfortable, tidy and clean. Being on the 2nd floor above the garage we got a workout everyday going up and down the stairs. Leia was a sweetheart. Very loving and communicative. She would “talk” to us and let us know when she wanted something. She loved laying outside on the driveway to sun herself or snuggling next to us on the couch in the evening. The only challenges we had were remembering to put our things away when we went out so that Leia couldn’t reach them – she was good at finding something we forgot. And being vigilant on walks to stay away from other dogs/cats as she wanted to meet them and she is very insistent/strong. We appreciated the use of their electric bikes and being able to park in their car park. We got to meet and know many of the neighbors, including the friendly young family that lives in the front house. Being in such a moderate climate we appreciated the mild weather and being able to leave the doors and windows open for the cool air. There were only a few days we were glad to have AC when the indoor temps got up into the 80s. I would highly recommend this sit for anyone that is comfortable handling large/strong dogs. Leia really is a sweet loving dog who likes to be around people. We would love to sit her again next time we are in the area. We miss her already!
It was lovely taking care of Sara’s cozy cabin, with the sweet company of Wally, Rosie and Buzz Buzz hid at first, I knew that going in. Letting him take the lead, by the end of the first day, curiosity won out and although I got a few lovely pets in, he pretty much kept to himself. Rosie is so sweet and I love how she gets on her haunches and raises up on her 2 back legs to get a full on pet. She has a great balance of desiring attention…and alone time. Wally is a great dog…very chill. Where there is wilderness, I would let him off the leash, and he was great on the lead when walking thru the ‘hood. I loved wherever I worked in the cabin, he’d curl himself at my feet. The quiet neighborhood, and friendly neighbors added to the charm of my stay and allowed me to focus on my writing and research. The welcome guide was thorough, plus it was easy to communicate with whenever I needed. Sara also work with me on additional dates I needed to stay before and after. Loved that it worked out well for both of us. Highly recommend this sit.
Anne & Martin are incredibly friendly individuals and very gracious hosts. We came the day before the sit to gather keys, instructions and to meet the delightful Sebastian and Albert. We quite enjoyed visiting with Anne and Martin and both furry friends were just as friendly as their owners. We enjoyed tea with all four before being provided instructions for the sit. Both Albert and Sebastian are very relaxed and easygoing so they were just a delight to have as housemates. Their home is absolutely beautiful as well so super inviting and communication throughout was great! We highly recommend this sit and hope to be back again soon!
