Our first time using zeewoi and Jessica set expectations for future very HIGH! She communicated so well everyday, asked great questions, took initiative to do things like wash sheets etc that we would not ask nor expect someone to do. She treated our home and pets exceptionally well. Not enough space to detail all the wonderful things about Jessica. We would always want her to take care of our cat and dog!
Absolutely thrilled to share our incredible experience petsitting for Wowie and Paul at Wolfhanger Farm! It has genuinely been the happiest week of our year. From the moment we arrived, Wowie and Paul welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality. They gave us a tour, explaining everything in detail and always being available for any questions we had. The three Labradors were absolutely adorable – so loving and gentle. The area around the farm is full of hidden gems like Milton Abbas and Sherborne. We loved exploring, but it was equally delightful to just sit outside at the farm, playing with the dogs and taking care of the sheep. Collecting fresh eggs every day from the chickens was a wonderful treat. Staying at Wolfhanger Farm was like living in a dream house sit. Thank you so much, Wowie and Paul, for this unforgettable experience! We'd love to come again!
Brian was welcoming, helpful, and really took the time to explain Zipper's needs. He also left detailed descriptions as well as local recommendations for restaurants and walks. Zipper took a minute to warm up to me but with a couple of days and a few treats, he was snuggling. He doesn't like to be petted for very long and not on his lower back, more on his head. The space is beautiful and the neighborhood vibrant and fun and it was wonderful to spend time there.
Anastasia was very friendly and a breeze to communicate with! Her fluff cat Boris definitely has the run of the place :), but he's calm, easy to care for and loves a good pet once he warms up to you. The apartment is very minimal in decor but still cozy, comfortable and in an ideal location (steps away from Central Park West). A nice, safe stay for anyone visiting NYC.
Fabulous sit with a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend!
The strap line for this sit would be a lovely family, welcome, quirky house, but Mac is the magic that brings it all together. I think the starting point has to be, would you do it again - Yes 100% I have only done one sit before and use the methodology of 1. Family, 2. Pets, 3. House and 4. Location/area Family, welcome. Sally was great from the outset and this mixes nicely with the listing, which is very accurate. In the run-up to the sit, Sally was very supportive as it was during Easter. On arrival, the family were all welcoming, each spent time with me, and helped me settle in and after an hour, any nerves were gone and Mac and I sat together, happily getting to know each other. During the stay, there is a wonderful support network, all available via WhatsApp. All questions were answered quickly and at times, some funny banter took place. Very happy! Pets Mac is a star. You will read a lot about him in the other reviews and all is right. He is such a lovely fun, happy and wonderful companion. He does love attention and play, over food. He does push boundaries a little bit, but there is not a bad bone in his body. He is friendly to people and other animals alike. He does try and chase rabbits. It was a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to the little boy. Chickens There were 15 whilst I was there and they were friendly enough. In the reviews, someone said they hand-fed one of them and that is probably why a brown traditional chicken seemed more friendly. The requirements of looking after them is quick and easy. Fish and Frogs Probably the hardest to remember as they are in the son's room and of course, I never went in, unless feeding. House The house is like a 'Tardis' I remember being shown around and was amazed, at another bathroom, and another room, but it is not that big once you have been there for a while. There are enough gadgets, pots, utensils, etc. to cook with and in. Cleaners come and there is an automatic robot hoover (I did enjoy watching it trying to clean the stool bases, but I am easily pleased) There are 4 acres of land and sometimes, I would just go and walk around with Mac. Clearly there are fenced areas for sheep, etc. The Area, Location. Within easy reach are plentiful shops and takeaways, I walked sometimes, but you are yet still far enough in the countryside. There are buses into Aberdeen either from Westhill, or a short drive to a park and ride. There are plentiful castles, history etc. as well as sandy beaches. As said earlier, it was a bitter sweet moment leaving after two weeks. I am hoping to go back and see Mac again :)
We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Alfie in Sarah’s wonderful flat. Alfie is an absolute cutie who loves going for walks and general companionship throughout the day. Sarah is a great host and made us very feel comfortable. Thank you Sarah and Alfie! :)
