Karen is a dream of a house sitter, who I would love to welcome back to our home. This was our experience... At our request, Karen came to our house a day early to get to know us, our dog and how things worked in the house. She immediately put us at ease with her friendly approach and can do attitude. Karen is an experienced house sitter and takes her role very seriously. While we were away, Karen kept us informed of goings on and sent many beautiful photos of our dog enjoying herself. She was proactive with any problems that arose and was extremely helpful with any requests we made, such as posting things on to us. During a heatwave, she checked on an elderly neighbour. We have a very large garden, and although not strictly part of our brief, Karen took it upon herself to tend to the beds and water the plants. She is exceptionally tidy and a thorough cleaner - she even asked if she could clean out our mower shed with great results! On our return, it was clear that our dog and Karen had become best friends. Our dog, Piper, was happy, healthy, relaxed and well-behaved. Our house was clean and tidy, our garden looked-after and very thoughtfully, Karen had made a meal for us all. I would highly recommend Karen if you are considering a house sitter, particularly for a longer house sit period where you need to know you have someone reliable and on the front foot.
Rebecca and her family were great sitters. At first I was a little bit unsure as I had never had a family house/pet sit, but seeing the daily photos and updates of her two daughters with our dog made me think that he must have had great fun with them! The house was very tidy when we got back and they were super accommodating and flexible when I forgot to update the app/dates meaning they had to stay an extra night! Thanks so much for everything!
