If it were possible to give more than five thumbs up, this experience would definitely qualify. It was a pure delight to house/pet sit for Vanya and Chris, and I simply cannot recommend it enough. Their communication before my stay was clear and concise. Upon my arrival, they greeted me with warmth and congeniality, explaining the details of their remote country property, plants, and pet care needs. I felt very relaxed and comfortable in their eclectic turn-of-the-century home which is a haven for peace and tranquility. Bird-watching was a particular joy with several colorful species and bird songs to enjoy, as was seeing the various wildlife wandering the area (deer, rabbits, brown, red and black squirrels, turkey, and even coyotes occasionally howling in the distance). The only ‘problem’ I had was with their bed and getting myself out of it every morning....Very Comfy!! LOL. Their cat Bronzie is an adorable, warm cuddle-buddy and an excellent hiking companion as we wandered the rolling hillside wooded property together every day. Like most cats, she snuggled when she wanted to (which was often once she got used to having me there), but contrary to most cats, listens well, comes when called and is a great communicator. I loved her immediately and wanted to smuggle her out in my suitcase when I left! Overall, Vanya and Chris are laid-back, cordial and considerate souls, and their home and furbaby very much reflect this. I really appreciated their kindness and the relaxation that their home offers. I felt very happy and blessed to have the opportunity to help out, and to know this family. Thank you Vanya and Chris for entrusting me with your home and sweet girl Bronzie, and for being YOU! I look forward to staying in touch and our paths crossing again....
Tono was great! So we’re Brittmari & Betty, we had a chance to stay with them one night since there was a guest room and this allowed Tono to get comfortable with us. Tono is super easy to take care of, all he really needs is to be walked early in the morning, and it’s nice because he makes sure that you get out of bed and get the day started! I loved my morning walks with Tono as it felt like such a healthy way to start the day. 10/10 recommend this sit!
Dixie is a beautiful, sweet girl who I absolutely loved looking after! She is a delight to walk and play with in the nearby parks, and very well-trained in the house. She has a very loving, loyal personality and was such a lovely companion to enjoy evenings with after some long days walking! Bobby & Isa are very easy to care for. They took a little longer than Dixie to warm up to the new human in their home, but were always very sweet, and after a few days decided they enjoyed some cuddles and neck scratches. Becky and her family were very welcoming and thorough in showing me around their home and town. The house is beautiful, very well-equipped, and well-positioned in a lovely town. I highly recommend this pet-sit and would happily return to see Dixie, Bobby and Isa any time!
IT was a lovely experience staying on the charming farm close to Durham. The dogs were very friendly and well trained. They were very responsive to care and attention. Christine and all her Family were extremely kind and helpfull. I warmly reccomend IT to future sitters and would happily go there again.
Spending time with Piper and Harley in Michelle and Fred’s beautiful home was a dream! We felt welcomed and cared for from the moment we got there, and appreciated the warm hospitality and desire to get to know us. There were clear instructions, local tips, and reliable communication the entire stay. Piper and Harley are so special and we absolutely loved getting to know them. Piper was as much as a handful as any puppy, but we got such a kick out of her puppy antics and big energy. Harley was more reserved but showed us her playful side a few times too :) We enjoyed taking them for walks in the beautiful and friendly neighborhood. They are both amazing dogs and a joy to look after. Fred and Michelle’s home is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. Having a private dock and access to the lake was amazing. It is clear Michelle and Fred love and care for their fur babies deeply and we are so grateful they trusted us into their home to watch over them. We would absolutely recommend this home for any sitter who is asked to come in. The entire family is wonderful and we are so grateful to have met them and to continue being connected with them. We had an amazing time and would love to come back whenever we can. <3
Elizabeth and her family live in an exceptionally charming village, surrounded by lush countryside and with excellent connections to London and local towns. I was so very fortunate to enjoy spending time with Otto and Wilf, the sweetest, most lovable duo who were such terrific company whether out in the fields or cosied up on the couch. The home is beautifully accommodating and centrally located to the village's warmly inviting cafés and local pub. Elizabeth was always prompt in communication and very well organised which helped to make this stay such an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much Elizabeth and family for welcoming me so warmly back to the UK. I cannot recommend this housesit highly enough to all other lucky sitters!
