It was an absolute pleasure to house sit Lenny and Scabs, both are chilled, friendly pets. There is a choice of footpaths from the house to take you into farmland with stunning views or a lovely path through fields leading to the church and the village. Lenny loves his walks and a drink from the stream on the way home. Stithians is a great base for exploring west Cornwall with both the North and South coasts within easy reach. The Cornwall show was on in the village during our visit which was a highlight. We also went to a barn dance at the local farm. I met Toby a few weeks before the sit and he made me feel very much at ease and went through all the bits and bobs. Toby and his family are very welcoming and they have a lovely home to relax in. I highly recommend this house sit and hope to return some time in the future.
Izzy was such a sweet cat! Sue communicated everything very clearly and it was a lovely home to stay in.
I will start with the best part of this Sit, Domino. Domino stole my heart from day one and we became fast friends. He is not only Gorgeous, but gentle, easy-going, super loving, and has the most amazing sweetest soul! He loves a belly and a chin rub and even though it took a few days he became very affectionate while also keeping his autonomy. Their home in Marathon is located on the  inter-coastal , sunrises and sunsets are quite stunning. Unfortunately, a few days before my arrival the dock and seawall had fallen down, because of some construction next door therefore I was not able to use or kayak off of the dock but it was still a beautiful location. Sasha, and Marianne were very easy to communicate with, and lovely from the start. Highly recommend this Sit.
Smokey & Rocky are soo cute cats. We really enjoyed our stay at Craig and Peggy's with them! The house and garden are beautiful. Communication was great at all times. Rocky's trust has to be earned but from then on he is super cuddly. Smokey is the explorer and curious one.
We had a good video chat with Diana and Dave before the sit and came a day early for a comprehensive handover. We were made to feel very welcome and the new hot tub was an extra touch of relaxation. The pets are all lovely and affectionate and managed their best behaviour throughout our stay. The home is in a great location and we did several short trips out and about - Bath, Cheddar, Castle Combe, Wells. We have no hesitation recommending this sit and hope to return if possible. Thanks again for the invite.
This sit was pretty much perfect for us. Sian and Ippy made us feel very welcome in their home. Their dogs, Blanca and Gingi were both very independent and easy to look after and very much enjoyed their walks from the doorstep of the house. They are understandably wary of new people but it didn't take very long before they relaxed with us and would come over on the terrace for a stroke and greet us with excited wagging tails. The little cortijo that we stayed is full of rustic charm and was very comfortable for us and my 85 year old mother-in-law. The view over the valley is one we didn't ever get tired of. The location is perfect if you want to get into Granda, the Alpujarras or the coast. Sian and Ippy left us full instructions, were very easy to communicate with and were lovely hosts. They kindly cooked for us on the first night and were both interesting and kind. We cannot recommend this sit more highly.
