Thank you for trusting us to look after your home and lovely animals. We appriciated the welcome goodies and the wood burning fire on arrival. We even had an arrival committe waiting for us! Shame we didn't have the camera ready ;-) After having been shown everything by Mark on our first day, we followed the same daily routine so the animals didn't have to experience any disruption and accepted us very quickly. Teddy, Jacques and Maddie are great dogs. They love attention and cuddles and are very playful. When you feel 60 kilos sitting on your feet you know you've won Teddy's heart. The grounds of the farm are great to take them out so they can play, drink from the burn and run around freely. We loved taking the donkeys for a walk and being able to also bond with the goats. The hens, peacocks and geese are easy to look after. René could even stroke the geese after a couple of days. The trick is to talk to them calmly and move slowly so they don't feel threatend. We enjoyed the moment when everybody was fed and could have watched them for hours doing their thing. The communication prior to arrival and during our stay was great and any questions were answered quickly by Mark, Cate or Derek. We felt comfortable as they are very friendly, easy going and helpful. If you love the countryside, caring for a variety of animals and daily fresh eggs then this is the place for you.
I had a lovely time with Wiggins in Anna and Jon’s lovely home! Anna and Jon are warm and welcoming and Wiggins is super cute and easy to look after. I certainly would recommend their place to sit and hope to be back one day soon!
We had a beautiful stay looking after sweet Poppy. The house had everything we needed and was in a nice coastal location a short distance from public transport for easy access to the city! Kina and Alan were very welcoming and helpful and we would recommend this sit to anyone!
Jamie and Yoni were super friendly and down to earth and made me feel very comfortable being in their home. Milo was such a joy to be with. He is quirky and easy to care for, despite needing medication. Jamie made it super easy to know when to give Milo what by providing notes and organizers. And I loved giving Milo carrots and blueberries as snacks and playing fletch with him in the living room! Having the backyard made Milo’s potty breaks a breeze. The house is in an awesome neighborhood and is super spacious. I had plenty of room to spread out and work from home with Milo at my feet. I had a great time and would absolutely sit for Jamie and Yoni again.
This is a super sit! Hannah is kind, respectful, and an amazing communicator. She told me everything I needed to know to care for her home, chickens, and Mollie. Hannah was always responsive over the phone for my questions and updates. Mollie is sweet, affectionate, and energetic. The chickens were a breeze to care for and they made the most delicious eggs. Their home was absolutely beautiful. There was plenty of space to walk Mollie on the property, and it’s a tranquil location with vibrant stars. I would love to stay again!
We had a 5 star experience at Colombe & Zoli's home with Luna. We didn't get to meet Sol this time, as she was at summer camp, but hopefully a future sit perhaps. However we all fell in love with Luna almost immediately. She is such a gentle, loving, and easy going pup. She makes us want to get a dog of our own. I couldn't have asked for a better pet sit. She travelled with us to the beach, to the nearby town of Picton and parks. She was so easy to take around with us. The kids just adored her and I felt totally comfortable with them playing with her. In fact I felt really safe having Luna around the family. Colombe & Zoli were always available and communicating with them was easy and pleasant. Their home is lovely and clean. It was always a pleasure to walk Luna, the neighborhood is lovely and welcoming. She never chases squirrels or other dogs. She was such a lady, at all times. We would highly recommend pet sitting Luna and would be happy to take care of her again in the future!
