Dog Sitters in Copthorne

Jane arrived punctually and gave Bea, my two year Labrador, a big welcome. She had obviously gone through my Welcome Guide and was prepared for the week. She sent regular updates throughout the week, complete with photos and videos of Bea on walks and swims. When I returned, the house was clean and tidy throughout. Bea had obviously had a great holiday, too. I would thoroughly recommend Jane as a sitter. Thank you so much, Jane - it makes such a difference when you’re away knowing that your pet is in safe hands.

We trusted the care of our two dogs, Alf and Freda, to Teresa for 3 weeks in June whilst we disappeared to France for a caravan "odyssey". This was the second time Teresa had done a sit for us and we had no concerns. She calmly took on all responsibility for dogs, house and garden. The dogs were given long walks in the area and Teresa was confident and competent with a young spaniel and a curmudgeonly border terrier. The greenhouses were watered, the garden enjoyed and everything kept clean and tidy. Teresa is friendly, relaxed and caring and we sincerely hope she will come and sit for us again in the future.

Jayne and Zee looked after our house,dogs and chickens during a chaotic family wedding weekend . They immediately knew what was needed and gave us complete confidence in their care of our house and animals . We wish our dogs were as well behaved as theirs and were amazed that they left our house in a better state than they found it . We were tempted to give a bad review so we could keep these lovely people to ourselves ! It is great to think there are such great sitters on this site as they have really set the standard for out future sitters

Gregory did a tremendous job looking after Floki for 2 weeks. Even an added complication of Floki gaining a small puncture wound on his paw before I went away saw him take it in his stride to look after Floki. There was just the right amount of communication before and whilst away, and I came back to a very happy and health dog. The flat was left clean and tidy. I would give Gregory a glowing report - but then I don't want him to be too busy in the future either for my future trips away ;-)

Lawrie and the boys looked after Barley (Rhodesian Ridgeback) and Link (cat) for 9 days while we were on holiday. In the run up to the sit communications were great. We had a call with Lawrie and he asked for loads of information about the pets, and again when we handed over - so we knew he wanted to be well informed and to handle them exactly as we did. While we were away we got updates. On our return the pets were clearly very content and the house was neat and tidy. The boys had looked after our boys' rooms and stuff well. Definitely recommend! Thanks again Lawrie! :-)

Connor looked after Saffie and our house very well and we’re happy to recommend him as a zeewoi.

Kaylee looked after Zelda for not quite two weeks, she kept in touch with us from time to time. She arrived the day before we went away which was very useful to show her around and go for a quick walk with Zelda. I would have no hesitation in recommending her and hope she might like to stay again sometime.

It was lovely welcoming Richard and Wendy into our home. Both are very gentle, conscientious, kind and thoughtful people. They arrived a few nights before we left (because there was much comings and goings for the two days before we actually went on holiday) and were very accommodating to our needs. Most importantly, they focused their attention to our dog and loved her throughout their stay. How do we know this? When we returned, she was pleased to see us, but then calmly went back to her basket and carried on dreaming her dream! Thereafter, she was relaxed in their company and enjoyed their attention.... that was the most important thing for us. We have also had friends who reported seeing Richard and Wendy walking our dog and said how happy she looked. Can happily say, that if you have Richard and Wendy as your sitters, you can go away with confidence, knowing your animal will be loved and well cared for.

Yuhsuan did a last minute, short pet sit for our house and dogs. We really appreciated Yuhsuan and her boys travelling such a long way from their home to our home for such a short time. We connected on Whatsapp and we messaged a few times so that Yuhsuan felt comfortable looking after our dogs and had the information she needed to take her sons out in our local area. Yuhsuan and her sons arrived at a time that we had asked for which was quite early for them and we appreciated that they could do this for us. We handed over the dogs and house quickly an easily and Yuhsuan seemed very confident and able. While we were away Yuhsuan kept us updated with some lovely photos and videos of her family having a good time in our local area with our dogs. When we arrived home, our house was immaculate, everything was left as we left it and we had a very lovely thank you card from Yuhsuan and her sons. A perfect house sit. Thank you very much x

Another great sit from Melanie. Clean, tidy, reliable, great communication and my antisocial cats are starting to like her! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her or invite her again.

Caroline and Tim are such excellent house-sitters that we keep inviting them and they keep coming back! I think that says it all! The only additional point is that this time they had to look after our 8 month-old boisterous and rather large puppy! It seems that even that wasn't too much trouble for them. We can't thank them enough!

It was a real pleasure meeting Alan and Christine, and we immediately felt comfortable about leaving our dogs and house in their care. They were wonderfully calm, efficient and reassuring throughout their stay, despite canine illnesses and local difficulties, and we are both so grateful to them. We very much hope that they will consider returning again very soon!
