This was such a lovely housesit. Marion was very welcoming and gave such clear instructions. The house is beautiful, full of character, comfortable and well organised. I particularly appreciated Marion thoughtfully leaving space for my food and clothes. Rum is very sweet and was absolutely no trouble at all. He is very independent but ‘heat seeking missile’ that he is we shared some sunny spots in the garden. The chickens are frankly hilarious, very well looked after, their routine is really well organised and simple to follow. The garden, the beautiful pool and view made it particularly special, as did the peacocks! There are quite a few of them but they didn’t bother me, just got on with what peacocks get on with and were stunning to watch. Very peaceful with some beautiful walks in Constable country, by the river, only about 20 minutes away. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here.
Julie was so welcoming. She was very responsive and helpful and allowed me to stay an extra few nights as I didn’t have any accomodation. Rufus is such a sweet old boy and Selena was a little aggressive when it came to good but she loved a cuddle on the couch also. I really enjoyed my time with them and would recommend to anyone.
The Kennedy family is great! They’re a fun family and their home is comfy luxury. It’s just a ten minute walk to the high street. We had a great sit! Puppy Xavi who is full of energy is a living teddy bear on your lap! Coco the kitten roughhouses with the dog every evening, full bore but with great affection. She’s still a little shy but lets you know when she wants a cuddle. Juno is royalty, gracing us with his presence and enjoying our laps and snuggles with regal indulgence. Ros and Dave are great communicators, easygoing, conscientious and generous. Thanks Kennedys for sharing your home and your pets with us!

Sweet Thames Flow Softly…. Three wonderful dogs, a beautiful home in The Chilterns and three days in the closing days of summer …time to enjoy the warmth of the late summer sun .What more could you ask for ! This sit was planned over 7 months ago and included tele and video calls , and many WhatsApp messages …. We were supplied with a comprehensive guide to the house and importantly the needs of the pets , Olive, Myrtle, and Ethel three lively but adorable wire haired Dachunds. This helped us enormously to ensure the sit went well. Our hosts Nick and Louise couldn’t have been more helpful , and arriving early before their departure enabled us to explore the dogs usual walks and thus to ensure their routine was not unduly disturbed. The house had everything needed and provided us with an excellent base to explore the locality including Marlow and High Wycombe.There is a good pub within walking distance which produced a wide range of food and drinks. Recently fully renovated , the home was a true delight to spend a few days in . A fully fenced in dog secure rear garden allowed the dogs to roam freely and safely and like us enjoy the outdoors ! Local walks in the valley were similarly enjoyed by the dogs and ourselves , whilst a very comfortable lounge provided all the entertainment you could wish for in the evening , the dogs were very keen to settle down to lots of cuddles on their sofa ! All in all a truly delightful sitting experience and one we would love to repeat . Thank you .
