Applewood was recommended by a friend and I am so happy they did! This is a great place to bring your dog. My dog, Gus, made many friends while he was playing during daycare. There are plenty of dogs for him to play with, and there’s always a staff member watching them. Adriana is wonderful! I definitely recommend this kennel.

Boarded parents little dog while we had a little 4 day vacation in Cottonwood/ Sedona. Picked her up and she smelled CLEAN (no bath) and was tired. Staff is friendly, facility is kept clean and was a reasonable price. Would board there again AND recommend.

I have gone to other dog kennels around here and was not happy how they treated my girl. Finding Applewood Kennels has been the best thing for me and my K9. They are caring to her and she loves them. A fantastic experience! We got tons of picture and progress updates. Our dog loved his time and making friends. Everything was handled at his pace and for his personality. Isay was beyond understanding and accommodating. Especially to us humans who didn't deserve the same patience. Please don't take abuse sincere goodwill like this. About 5 months ago I was told my dog was considered an aggressive bread and we couldn’t house him anymore . He previously watched my beautiful dog for a vacation and told us he would take him in indefinitely and if there was ever a chance of getting him back we could get him. He has loved on my dog unconditionally and cared for and loved him as if he was his own. Tomorrow 4.21 I get my dog back! And the love and patience Isaa has given us and my dog is something I will never ever be able to repay him for. There is no place in this area I would take my dog to other this man. He is a blessing from God.

I recently stayed in Cottonwood,AZ for a month with my 10 year old lab and 1 year old mini newfypoo. I met Isay when I was looking to board the dogs so I could go to the Grand Canyon. We did a meet and greet with my dogs and it was immediately clear that Isay’s priorities are the dogs in his care. My dogs had a great time staying at the house with Isay and his dogs. I would highly recommend Isay for doggie day care or boarding!

CAUTION: GO ELSEWHERE the man who runs the daycare abuses his dogs. He has said these are "his" dogs that he is allowed to kick and punch. Dogs get out and often run into the street, dogs that are not his, that he watches. There are no real fences and he lets dogs off leash. He puts 2 dogs in one kennel. He screams in the dogs faces when he walks them in the afternoons and evenings. County Sherriff have been called on him multiple times, the latest for beating his dog in the street that got loose and attacked a woman and her dog walking by. He blamed the dog and repeatedly punche, dragged, choked and kicked it. You could hear him beating the dog inside his house from the street after. There is video evidence. Your dog is not safe here.

Highly recommend! Training has been successful & my pets love being boarded here. They are always well taken care of.

On a quick day trip to Sedona to go on a hike, I dropped off my sweet senior dog with Isay for a couple hours so he didn’t have to hike in the heat. Isay was amazing - available with only one day’s notice, texted me many pics while I was hiking, and was flexible with our arrival and pick up times. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and need a dog sitter!

We needed a last minute stay for our pup while we did a tour out of the cottonwood airport. Isay picked up his phone right away, got our sweet George in with a few days notice and his fees are very reasonable. It’s clear that he loves the animals he works with and George was extremely happy and playful when we arrived and when we picked her up again. Isay has a super sweet pack and Romeo is the sweetest welcoming committee dog! Tucker was also a doll and Clearly a rehabilitated angel! If I’m in or around Sedona and in need of a dog sitter, our dog George is staying with Isay!

I went to Isay for help with my father's dog Dani. My father had a massive stroke the day after Christmas and is currently in a Rehab facility. Dani was a rescue and not socialized at all. Aggressive behavior was her claim to fame with other dogs and people. Isay is amazing with her. She started out at the bottom of the pecking order, the pack. It is so shocking to see her just mingling and fitting in with all the dogs around her. I told my father that Isay is a true dog whisperer. Lisa is a gem for anyone looking to have their fur baby taken care of the way you care for them! Not thrown in a kennel and confined to a small boxed area! She gives one on one attention to just your baby and keeps you informed of your baby by sending you text messages and photos of what your baby is doing all while your gone! We are full time RVers and after I spoke with Lisa on the phone I felt super comfortable about taking our maltipoo to her! Since he has separation anxiety she had us bring him the day before we were to leave him at her home, for about ten minute trial run, so he’d get a feel! Then when the next day came it went smoothly! She is wonderful with dogs and because she has such a calm nature I feel our dog felt real comfortable with her! If you truly want the best care for and not worry about your fur baby when your gone I highly recommend Lisa’s Little Doggie Daycare!

If you need someone to watch your little pup while you enjoy all that Verde Valley has to offer, call Lisa! She is the most amazing little doggie sitter ever! You have to book in advance as she will only watch one dog at a time so that they have her full attention. She will stay in touch with you throughout the day or evening. (Yes, she dog sits at night too!) She sends several pictures of your fur baby while you are away. We have a 4 month old puppy, Piper. She is such a mama's girl, but did just fine with Lisa. We had her watch Piper twice for us. One night so we could go to the Blazin' M Ranch Dinner Show and one day so we could do the Verde Valley Train ride. I highly recommend all three...the dinner, the train and of course Lisa!!!

I contacted Lisa back in August about watching our yorkipoo puppy while we took the train ride. We stayed in contact until we finally meet today. Lisa was absolutely wonderful. She took outstanding care of our Sadie who has separation anxiety. We started receiving updates and photos soon after we left which helped me to know Sadie was in great care. Lisa’s lap was always available for Sadie. We highly recommend Lisa for your pet sitting needs!

Lisa was such a God sent to us. Just got our 4.5 month old puppy 3 weeks ago, and didn't know who could watch him so we could attend a family birthday train ride in Clarkdale. Found Lisa on line and read her reviews. She was WONDERFUL. Sent pics and updates all day. Finley looked very at home. We are locals who travel often and have used Lisa's Doggie Day Care for 2+ years. We have 2 small dogs and they absolutely LOVE going to Lisa's! She operates out of her house, which is set up nicely for the dogs. Lisa is very professional and clearly loves the dogs & her work. We have left our fur babies with her for up to 2 weeks. We love the pics in her text updates during our travels. We frequently take our dogs to Lisa's for an afternoon while we grocery shop, just because they love their play dates at her house. Daniel helped us with our senior girl Leeloo. She was on her way out of this world with her health but had the mind of a puppy so the extra love she needed made her life better towards the end when we had to be at work. Daniel changed my income and work position completely. I'm a single mom and have my hands full. I'd recently been laid-off and Daniel assisted me with getting enrolled at Yavapai College, get all my financial aid going, and my class scheduling. He helped me complete my UI claim and directed me regarding other services. Now I'm enrolled in classes and I'm positioned to bring in more money attending two classes per week than I was working 40 hours a week which leaves time for other important stuff. In terms of his pet services, he absolutely loves doggos. He's not a dog trainer, so I recommend his pet services if you're looking for someone to just spoil and love your dog(s) while you're away and make them feel at home and relaxed. My coyo dog used to tremble at being left to board ; B 'n P owner Joel would have to come gently scoop her out of my car and carry her inside. She must enjoy her stays, as now she bursts through their doors and heads for the kennel without even a goodbye kiss!

My name is Joy Musacchio and anyone that knows me knows that my dogs are my life. I have 6 poodles that I would lay down my life for in a second. Jana has been grooming my babies for years now and she is the only one that I will trust with them. Period... Ever... This Christmas, I was going out of town for almost two weeks and I boarded them at Bark and Purr for the first time. For forever, I always had someone come and care for them at home while I was away, but this time was different. They were there for 13 days and were so well cared for and happy. Infact, I didn't worry for one second about them while I was away. And this is the first time that I have ever been out of town and didn't worry. When I picked them up they were happy, looked awesome, healthy. Actually they were in better emotional and physical states than when they were cared for at home! I'm not sure that they wanted to leave! I can tell you guys this, no none will ever touch my little babies and they will always have their vacation at Bark and Purr. (I think I would like a vacation there next time myself) So if you have to go away and want peace of mind that your babies will be cared for and loved like you card and love them, this is the place! Honestly.

Wonderful place and friendly people! This place has such a nice energy right from when you walk in. Took my dog for a nail trim (her least favorite activity) and I could hear the people talking to my dog and comforting her while they cut her nails. They were very gentle and made my dog at ease. I will definitely be back!

The folks at Bark N Purr know their business and it shows! If my dog could, he would jump into the owners arms, except he's a Husky! The love they have for all the animals shows. The place is clean, the staff is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and most of all I know my fur baby is safe and will have fun and excellent care! I've been a customer for 17 yrs and wouldn't think of leaving my dog anywhere else and I live 30 minutes away. They do excellent grooming too! LOVE Bark N Purr!!

Wonderful park , 2 different areas , small dogs and large . Benches to sit on and watch dogs . Shade trees 🌳 and tables . One of the nicest dog parks I've been to. Loved it and so did my dog . He was sad to leave . The view is quite fantastic, too.

On a recent trip to Arizona, my husband and I wanted to spend the day shopping in Sedona. We were traveling with our 3 month old Goldendoodle, Nala, and did not want to drag her around in the heat all day. Bark N Purr was amazing. Not only did they have the availability last minute because their facility is quite large, they were able to give my baby a bath, clip her nails, etc. She was very well taken care of. The staff is also very friendly and empathetic to the emotions I was feeling leaving my fur baby for the first time. We had to leave our kitty 🐈‍⬛ for day care as we were doing outdoors activities in Sedona and it was too hot for her. I think she had a good experience when we picked her up she was ok and no stress visible symptoms. I would recommend this place. …

I don't trust many with my beloved dogs (they are family). I can share that I would confidently trust Margo with any dog, and with access to my home. She has looked after my dogs for years, including my 3 lb. Yorkie and my diabetic Maltese (both of whom needed a lot of extra care). I taught her how to give the insulin needles (a matter of life and death) and she did it like a pro. I have referred Margo to many. Do not hesitate to trust her with your precious animals.

Margo is a perfect fit for our Dog, Daisy. We were reluctant to leave her with someone she didn't know because she doesn't respond well to strangers. Margo was great with her and let Daisy come to her in her own time. Daisy eventually relaxed and played with Margo on the floor and even slept with her. Margo is great about sending photos and videos which eased or anxiety about leaving Daisy. We are no longer concerned about going away because we have Margo in our corner.

As a local pet sitter, I refer clients to other sitters when I'm not available. I've sent quite a few clients to Margo. She is responsible, honest, and affordable. I trust her, and know she takes good care of the clients I send her. Margo is an excellent sitter. I would not hesitate to have her watch my dogs and cat.

We recently moved from the east coast and Margo was a lifesaver. Our cats can be difficult with new people, but she spent time letting them get used to her and now they love her. We have 4 cats. They have always traveled with us in our trailer, but this time we left the trailer and our babies at home. It was scary hiring someone whom they'd not met, but Margo charmed them on her first visit before we left. Even our "loner" cat came out to greet her and get petted. She'll send videos if you wish too. Very pleased! Using her again for our next trip. She notices what needs to be done and does it! So glad Lisa recommended her!

Margo is amazing with my two dogs. I have a diabetic dog that she cares for with kindness and the knowledge of her insulin needed at each feeding. She comes to our house to care for them. Loves animals and they love her.

My little girl Aspen and I got a great first impression from the Wags & Whiskers team + all of the wonderful dogs she met today during day camp. :=) We have moved around a few times so Aspen has had lots of experience playing at different doggy daycares. We highly recommend Wags and Whiskers! Rochelle was so helpful and answered all our questions. We came to Flagstaff to run the Flagstaff Trail Half Marathon and needed to find a place to take our pooch while we were tied up for part of the day. We decided on Wags and Whiskers and they exceeded our expectations.

When in need of an out of town daycare service, I got a local recommendation from my airbnb source. I was able to register online and know that my pooch would be evaluated and well cared for while I attended my function. They are responsive to both owners and pups, with clear engagement and warmth. I dropped my sweet girl, BB off for the day so I could take care of things I needed to take care of. The staff is knowledgeable, gentle and polite. They are great with the pets and I am so glad they were able to care for my girl. They were able to accommodate me if I needed to have her stay the night, but that ended up not being necessary. I had brought food and medicationfkr her. And when I picked her up for the daycare, everything was neatly labeled! I even got a free tote bag when I got her from the daycare. Wags & Whiskers is a truly an AMAZING pet resort. The minute you walk through the door you are greeted with extremely friendly and helpful staff. I knew Goldie, (my large 7-month-old great pyrenes and border collie mix) would be super happy and lovingly cared for. Check in and out were both quick and efficient. The stay for chewy was great the pictures sent to me were awesome. We now have a new safe place to leave chewy when we go on vacation. He had walks and playtime with other dogs.

My puppy absolutely loves this place. He’s 8 months old so he’s still learning, but I’ve noticed his behavior around other dogs and people continues to improve every time he comes home from day camp. He is much more social and less shy than when I had first adopted him. The crew is very nice and responsive when contacted. I appreciate that they email me when photos are tagged with my pup on them, it’s nice to see pictures of his time there. Lastly, I really appreciate how on top of the health and well being of the dogs they are, you must submit vaccination records before bringing your dog in so it’s nice knowing Hank won’t be at risk of getting sick.

Yesterday was my dog (Togo) first day at Wags and Whiskers hes currently 4 months old and this is the perfect chance for him to start socializing with other dogs. He came back home so happy and of course tired. We definitely gonna come back. The staff is super friendly and took care really well from my baby!

Amy is THE most caring and reliable pet sitter we have ever had caring for our pets. She bends over backwards to fit your schedule and gives you a detailed account of the times of her visits, and how the visits went for the pets, cats and chickens in this case, although we have had her sit our dogs when we had them. She's the best...ask my pets!

We've used A and D Pet Services numerous times over the last four years for our babies (2 cats). And have always been super pleased. We always know it is one less thing to worry about before going out of town. When we come home, our cats are happy and relaxed, well fed and well loved!
