Daniel and I had a wonderful sit at Jo and Stewart’s beautiful home set up high in Lippett, just outside Honiton in the gorgeous Devon countryside. Jo, Stewart and Matthew their son were not only welcoming but kind, warm and loving people too. Flynn the Labrador is the most gorgeous calm dog we’ve ever had the pleasure to take care of and Claude the cat is independent but loving. A five star sit in every way.
Excellent cat sit. Very considerate cat owners, could not have been kinder. WONDERFUL little cat, sweet, loving, and easy to care for. Beautiful home and garden, very comfortable bedroom, all nice and warm in a cold month. Location is brilliant - so many famous sites and properties to visit nearby - including Stonehenge and Avebury. Lots of good walks, and charming towns of Pewsey and Marlborough. Car owning probably a good idea, but there may be bus routes, didn't look. Very happy sitter.
We chose this housesit primarily for it's proximity to Brighton and Lewes as Newhaven is quite a tired port town and doesn't really have much going on. Liza and Katy are lovely and welcoming and great with communication, even though they were in New Zealand, the communication was excellent. The house itself is lovely, a little damp in places but lovingly decorated and has everything you need including 2 work spaces. Herbie is a lovely dog, so loving and always up for a cuddle. He gets pretty anxious in a car though which can be quite stressful if on a longer journey as he likes to 'sing' or howl, other than that, he is a dream to look after. Sadly, Daisy is a little more hard work as she is very vocal and barks at almost everything which was quite difficult at times. She has boundless energy so needs to be walked a lot and will never tire of a game of ball, but she does bark for you to throw it all the time. Once tired out, both dogs are happy sleeping on the sofas, leaving you to get on with work. If you like little dogs and don't mind the barking, then this sit will be fine, however, there are not many walks from the house so you need a car to go somewhere nice. All in all, not the easiest house sit, due to Daisy's behaviour, but Liza and Katy are both just lovely and I really don't like to say anything bad, but feel it only fair to let prospective housesitters know the ups and downs.
I had a great time taking care of Simba and Coco at Stephanie and Jan's place. Such sweet kitties with very different personalities but they got along fine with each other. It is a very comfortable home in a nice neighborhood. They are in a good area for walking and running, and there are lots of restaurants which made it a very nice stay. Their home is easily accessible to several subway lines, so getting around is very easy. Stephanie gave good directions and we had regular contact by text. I highly recommend this sitting opportunity.
I really enjoyed spending time in Tarra's home, and caring for her birds. They calmed down after a few days, and seemed to like me talking to them. The feeding instructions for the birds were very simple, and they are low maintenance pets. Tarra's home is so lovely, very calm and quiet. I was able to work from there during the week, and explore the area on the weekend. Tarra's neighborhood is very walkable, with beautiful homes and yards, and nearby restaurants and shopping. Buffalo is very easy to navigate by car, and there are many day trips to be taken from the city, with easy highway access.
Paul and Caron were amazing hosts making us feel at home from the second we arrived. We were lucky enough to spend time with the whole family before their trip and met some locals/friends. Teddy and Hector were an absolute dream our whole sit. We had no issues at all and they are very well trained. We got to know the boys very well and any quirks Caron had mentioned beforehand, and we even got to celebrate Teddys 4th birthday with him! We absolutely adored the boys and couldn’t have asked for a better sit. We cannot wait to see them again soon!

Stephanie is great, it's obvious how much she loves the dogs. Does a good job grooming our Shih Tzu.

Clean, precise work, well organized, nice owner
Stephanie is the best!!
Annie has been amazing with my sweet pup Timbus! Coming up from Manhattan, I wasn't sure about boarding him out of the city... Annie changed that! She genuinely LOVES dogs. From the moment we spoke I knew I could trust her with my furbaby. …
Annie is fantastic! Not only does she have a great shop, but her boarding business is first-rate, too. We've boarded our dog with her for a week and two weeks at a time, and he loved it! We were much happier knowing that he was getting to play and be around other dogs instead of being alone in a kennel.
We just tried Annie at Puppy Paws in Cornwall and she is great with Winston! His grooming session included ear and teeth cleaning, nail clipping, and a bath with 2 kinds of shampoo from La Pooch. And she dried him with a dryer that he loved …
