This was our first sit with TH, and it exceeded all expectations! We were looking for a few days away before the new year. SF Bay Area and feline companionship were our main priorities. We were able to meet and greet the entire family in their beautiful home, decorated tastefully with generous holiday decor. Jonathon and Marcia’s house tour and printed instructions were thorough and much appreciated. Toast is an absolute sweetheart, and we were sensitive to her fragility over having quite recently lost her lifelong sister of 15 years. She is not a cuddler, yet she warmed to us, coming to us and inviting us to scratch her head and give her some eye-level attention. This is a cat who loves the rain, and we had plenty of that. She would come in soaking wet and not mind a gentle towel rub - of course we fell in love with her. The neighborhood is great to explore on foot, and since it rained quite a bit during our 3-day stay, we were quite happy to stay in. Scott split wood for a fire, and we enjoyed the cozy reading time we were wanting. The piano was also a source of joy. The only thing I longed for was more time, in order to explore the board games, the books, and the surrounding neighborhoods. We’re grateful to Jonathon and Marcia for welcoming us in their home and trusting us to take care of sweet Toast.
Five stars for this amazing sit. Shadow and Lola are the cuddliest animals we've taken care of so far. We enjoyed our time with them tremendously. Running with Shadow in the mornings was pure joy. As a Husky-mix, he loves the exercise - a great opportunity for sitters to stay fit :-). If you work from home, Lola will immediately volunteer to be your chilled co-worker, your lab being her office. The owner Emily was very easy and pleasant to communicate with. Their home is just 5 minutes away from a very nice local market, walking distance to a shopping center and a well-connected train station. The bus is a 2 minutes walk away, so it is really easy to explore Munich and the area from here. If you like cooking, you will love the kitchen in this house. We would come back at any time!
Jaco Beach is a small yet busy town and Vaughn lives a 15 minute drive up Cerro Fresco with 2 shepherds, Yuki and Sushi who took a day to get used to us, yet little Tiffany was a charmer. Mornings routines flowed from letting out dogs, prepping their breakfast, coffee for us at what I called the cabana, looking over the valley to watch the Toucans and butterflies. Our beach and swimming plans turned into a couple of walks up and down the road, once with the dogs and once to find sloths then back home to the pool. The shepherds loved playing endlessly in the pool or with the water hose and we found the comfy pool deck relaxing. Lunch for us was on the upper deck with an incredible view of the ocean, beach and valley. The dogs ate early, Vaughn had many outside areas, so dinner was on the deck overlooking the pool or the valley. Trips to town were an adventure, lots of food, places to stay, eat and shop. Nice home, dogs, we would return foe this sit.
Laine, Forest, and Mr. Willson warmly welcomed us and explained and showed us everything in detail. Our stay was unfortunately very short, but very lovely. They have a very cozy home, and we felt very comfortable. Now, let's talk about the star of the housesit, Mr. Willson - the chillest dog we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were able to go on some cool hikes in the area, explore the surroundings with him in our drop-top car and spend time cuddling. We would have loved to stay a bit longer and would come back anytime. Thank you Laine, Forest, and Mr. W ☺️🫶🏼
