Lucy and Ollie are the absolute best people to house-sit for! They're kind and welcoming. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a hug, a glass of wine, and an exchanging of life stories. It really felt like meeting up with old friends, and we definitely made some new ones. Their home is in a fantastic and historic location, the flat itself is bright and airy, and their cats - Poseidon and Fini - are the sweetest, softest, most playful little boys we've ever met. House-sitting for them was a joy from start to finish and we can't wait to be back! Thanks to Lucy and Ollie for making us feel like we were home.
Here is our sweet house sit with Roo Review. Roo is the smartest most personable dog you will ever sit for. Roo is a very well trained on leash and off leash walker ! Great at playing and obedient . A disciplined and polite eater. Roo was a neighborhood ambassador, making friends with everyone everywhere we went during our many walks, and hikes in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area. She was also good in the car. Katies home is stunning, lovingly well cared for comfortable and in an amazing location!. Katie and Roo were easy to communicate with This is a FIVE STAR sit!
Had a great time with PJ, Buffalo and Ranch. PJ is incredibly talented with all the tricks he can do and was just a joy to spend time with. He's also a big snuggler in bed, it's so endearing!!
My sit in Seattle over the holidays and into January was quite an adventure! Beth's home is spacious, minimalist and cool, in a great location with a view to Lake Washington, and very near a great park for ball throwing/catch with her dog Winter, as well as near Seward Park for beautiful long walks. The backyard is fenced which is super convenient for quick trips outside. We had endless rain, then a record breaking cold snap, and back to more rain. Winter doesn't love the wet or cold but with a ball in my hand he forgot about the conditions and fetched until he was tuckered out. This was followed by a major snooze at home. Short and long walks are an equally good alternative for exercise time. Winter really likes to be with you, and is also perfectly ok on his own. He does bark at outdoor noises but you can get his attention and distract him if you are nearby and consistent. We never had any trouble on walks when we crossed paths with dogs or people, occasionally a little start of barking or growling, but he stops right away if you intervene. I was able to meet Beth and Winter before the sit started which I think is a great strategy if possible. You then benefit from the "I know you" very excited greeting at the door from the get go. I recommend this sit, and hope we have a chance for another exchange in the future!
It was an absolute pleasure sitting with Celo and Jovie. Both are very lovable and self sufficient. Karen had every thing organized and was quick to respond to all my texts. Truly one of my best sits out of 17!
