I loved my experience of Pet/housesitting for Peggy and Matt in their beautiful house on Bowen Island... The house is fabulous, the animals are very well represented in their profile and it was truly a delightful experience to be on Bowen... The community on Bowen is very welcoming and all amenities are available...the hiking is second to none...!!! I have much appreciation for my opportunity to experience life on Bowen, thanks Peggy and Matt...!!
Mindy is so pleasant to have as a host and her dog, Ajax, is a LOVE. He was well behaved and a great side kick for day trips and movie watching. Mindy’s home is spacious and comfortable. She did everything I needed to be ready for the sit. Mindy made suggestions for local area hiking and provided everything Ajax and I needed for both home and outings. Good communication. Highly flexible and welcoming. I would happily repeat this experience and snuggle more with Ajax. Thanks, Mindy! You’re amazing!
We enjoyed sitting for Hannah and Ed in early Nov/Dec 2022. They have a great spot above the popular village of Lanjaron, one of our fave spots in the region. Great views and the village is a nice walk away...warning, it's hilly! Despite our road weary state on arrival (and in dire need of a shower) after some long and hectic travels, Hannah and Ed made us feel at ease and very welcome. Cats Peach, Bowser and The Admiral are super easy to look after...don't worry, if you're a little late on feeding time, Peach will let you know! But seriously, a real easy sit, virtually nothing to do. We were able to get some much needed rest and then knuckle down to a bunch of work. Internet is good for those working remote. The house itself is nice, but like many Spanish houses, not really optimised for cold winters. However, our hosts made it clear that we were to keep the home fires burning as much as we needed, so all in all, it was quite cosy. The access road up is challenging if you have a large vehicle like our 7m long and nearly 3m high van, but doable. Easy for normal cars. It's a great area, great for hill walkers, a restful sit and easy going hosts. Would love to sit here in the warmer months and recommend to anyone, especially if you're a cat lover! Thanks for having us and all the best for 2023, Paul & Merle.
I loved my time spent with Mark and Seeni, they are super loving, cuddly and easy - a real joy to look after! Communication with Lucy and Ravi was brilliant before and during the sit, they made sure everything was prepared and gave me detailed information. Their home is beautiful, cosy, well equipped and in a great location - it was the perfect base for exploring Amsterdam at Christmas, I'd happily come back anytime - thank you both!
I absolutely loved staying with Jack at Laura’s lovely home. He is such a sweet, friendly, cuddly pup and she was so awesome, communicative, & welcoming! Her place is wonderful and in an amazing neighborhood, which I highly recommend exploring with Jack! You’ll love it. Thanks so much and hope to be back! :)
Stephanie and Ron were great communicators and very available to answer questions during our stay. Their home is perfection. Spotless, comfortable, well-designed. They have a lovely backyard area with fireplace, water feature, overhead heaters. The king bed was very comfy, the couch was perfect, the kitchen has everything you need. Both the bedroom and backyard look out over a lovely wooded area. The neighborhood is quiet and well-maintained, and if you walk or drive up to the Post & Pour coffee shop, you get a wonderful view of Mt. Rainier. And then there are the fluffs. Teddy and Kari are adorable! They are so fluffy, you just want to sink your hands into their fur, but oh no. Not so fast. We had to earn their trust with a mixture of calm and play, and near the end of our short stay, we were finally allowed to pet them fully. They are both very easy to walk if you are ok with lots of sniff time. They are very good-natured. Luna is an independent lady who wasn't up for much petting while we were there. She mostly slept during our stay, so very easy to care for. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Stephanie and Ron's. Highly recommend!
