This was a perfect housesit for us. Heather and Peter were kind, organized, and their home was beautiful and accommodating. The beach setting was amazing. Their dog “Buddy is priceless. He is very well trained and loyal. He is also very cute and their cat Meow Meow was a joy also. We were fortunate to do this sit, and would love to do it again. Thanks Peter and Heather for providing a great overall experience.
This pet sit has consolidated why we are in Trusted Housesitters. Whippets Vicki and Jane were the most cooperative and well-trained dogs imaginable. They were reservedly affectionate for the first few days but after that would sidle up for attention at any opportunity. They stood still to put their coats on, walked well on a lead, ate their food willingly and were quiet and placid inside the house. The care, pride and love Anthea and Pete have for their home and garden was evident everywhere. The house was warm and cosy in a Tasmanian winter. Our sunny guest bedroom was styled with thought and we were very grateful for the wardrobe and drawer space provided. We were overwhelmed with their thoughtfulness of gifts and provisions to start our sit. Their communication before and throughout the stay was prompt and descriptive. We would recommend this sit and would very much welcome the opportunity to return.
Marta's home was so comfortable and peaceful. Cowboy was a joy to sit very easy. He loved car rides and walks. Marta was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.
What a lovely sit. John and Helen are easygoing but very well organised. The house and hosts are welcoming and the two cats loveable and entertaining but pretty low maintenance. We had a car so could easily get about but there is a good bus route which would also work well and enough grocery shops within easy walking distance…as well as a good pub and take away. Thoroughly recommend this sit and we would be delighted to repeat in the future.
I had a great time staying with sweet Minxie while Louise and her boyfriend were performing with his band overseas. She was so welcoming and let me arrive a day ahead, then treated me to a delicious meal! Minxie was easy relaxed company and a joy to care for, and Louise has a real designer eye so her flat is colourful, super clean, warm (it was snowing when I was there!), comfortable and lovely. She communicated really well and kindly picked me and my bag up from the station when I arrived. You’ll be lucky if you get to mind Minxie. Love to return sometime.
Pat is a super nice, helpful and uncomplicated host. Zoe and Pipa were friendly and easy to handle. They enjoyed walking with us in town or on the beach and cuddling in the evenings, snoring at your feet on the couch. Oskar is shy, but he liked to watch me play with the doggies in the garden and warmed up (especially when he got treats) after a while. Sometimes he allowed a quick pet on his head. It was a very comfy sit and perfect to visit Bruges, Lille or Ostende, which were nearby. Kortrijk is a friendly town, an the belgian beer and chocolate is awesome ;)
