Ellynn and Chris were a breeze to sit for! Chessie is such a sweet kitty. She has an easy routine and an even easier demeanor. She will seek out your lap when you are reading or watching TV, and I had many cozy evenings with her! She's on a timed feeder and an automatic waterer, and her litter box habits are impeccable. She has a large house to roam, and she's allowed to go outside for a bit during the day. But she doesn't go far and only likes to be outside if you're there with her. That was a relief to me, because I always knew where she was. Ellynn and Chris welcomed me with a homemade dinner and warm conversation the evening before they left. Their home is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views. I saw quite a bit of wildlife from the living room and dining room windows, as well. I was so comfortable there, and I took advantage of some amazing nearby hikes. Chris and Ellynn were very responsive during my sit, and they made sure that everything went as smoothly as possible. I LOVED sitting for them! Five+ stars!
Tanis and Alex welcomed us in their lovely home. Bear and Zeus are very well-behaved and real sweethearts! They were easy to look after. The main walking place was in Redhill Common, the dogs lead us on top of the hill to a lovely view. Bear must be the happiest dog in the world and Zeus is a gentleman, who is a bit more calm. The home is between Reigate and Redhill, both places you can walk to. Reigate has a plethora of food places, definitely recommend the spots offering breakfast. Both Reigate and Redhill are well connected to London and we had plenty of time to explore the city.
Jordan and David’s place in Kaneohe is a dream. By staying here, you’ll experience the real Hawaii when others are often limited to Waikiki and Honolulu. Walking distance to everything you’d need- grocery, mall, Starbucks, target, etc. They as hosts could not have been more accommodating and kind. I came a day early and got to know them and now have friends in Hawaii! The pets are amazing and I’ll miss each of them. Sakari is the wise older sister who is calm and puts up with Koa’s antics. Koa is the excitable younger sister who likes to get into things so be sure everything is put out of her reach - and she will surprise you with what she can pull off! Both dogs are well behaved and easy to care for, even for a solo sitter. Boris the cat has a dog like personality where he wants to be close to you and eventually slept with me every night. Kira will rarely be seen. Overall I would highly recommend Jordan and David’s home and you should not feel uncomfortable with spending time with them before or after to get to know them- they are easy going and friendly. Thanks again!
We have warm memories of the housesitting at Julie's & John's place. This is a very warm, lovingly and hospitable family. They have a beautiful country house, very quiet and peaceful and only 17min away from lovely Bristol. Lots of nice places in the neighborhood, such as Bath, Glastonbury,... We felt immediately welcome in their house that emmits warmth and a soul. Together with an aga oven, Tempur matrass, lovely bathroom & garden,... just a lovely stay. They have informed us very well about the region, sightseeing, walks,... The dogs, Hattie, Otto, Pip & Ralph are very lovingly, energetic and well trained. It was a pleasure walking with them and going on adventures. We miss them! We don't often go back to places where we stayed because we love to explore new things but if Julie and John would ask us back we might say yes again some day! We highly recommend them! Thanks for the great stay!
Dan and Leah have a beautiful home that they have personally renovated. They also have a wonderfully laid out welcome guide that covers everything about the house and little Billy Bear. Billy is a tender old baby that is as cute as they come. He has a great appetite and sleeps a lot. He warmed up to us a little, but he was mostly waiting for his mum to return! He was sweet and fun, nonetheless. Leah and Dan were gracious hosts and made it so that our visit to Dartford was very enjoyable. We visited the massive Bluewater Shopping Centre nearby, and snapped pictures of the plaque on Dartford train platform #2, commemorating where Mick Jagger met Keith Richards. We also loved that one of the very first car showrooms in the UK is in Dartford and now hosts The Flying Boat, a Wetherspoons pub. We highly recommend this sit if you get the chance.
Opie and Tomy were a pleasure to look after. Tomy has his daily routine of exploring the neighborhood and relaxing in the garden and comes in a night. He enjoys sitting on the couch with you and relaxing in the evening. Opie is a very intelligent dog, communicates well and likes to go for his daily walk and also to relax in the garden. The back door has a dog flap, so that great for when Opie and Tomy want to be in the garden independently. The house is comfortable and peaceful and situated in a nice neighborhood close to amenities.
