He lived literally ONE mile away from me. This made it easy to meet in advance of the sit and go over details. During this process, he told me he would have to leave soon. This gave me the impression it was a lower priority for him. Being 1 mile away, however brought up some things I hadn't experienced with sitters from out of town. He wanted to know if it was ok to have friends over to my apt. My cat is very shy and timid around strangers and I told him no. He wanted to cook in my kitchen. It was left very messy. 3 cupboard doors left open, food stains on the stove, counter and fridge. Pots, pans and utensils, he used were not put away. For a person who lives one mile away, these are both things I would have thought could have just as easily been done in his own space. Why did he need to use mine and leave it in this condition? He didn't clean out the cat brush, not sure if this was to prove he had brushed my cat. He left the litter scoop IN the litter box. An amateur move, this would make many cats NOT use the litter box. In the past my cat has stopped using the litter box for similar reasons. She is older and relies on steps to climb onto furniture to sit with me or to sleep with me. Cats, creatures of habit, are upset with changes and one of her steps was moved. She's old, the equivalent of a 90 yr old grandma who depends on these things being there for her in the same place. Without telling me he locked the chain on my front door from inside the apt. So I was unable to enter my apt from the front door. After a long trip home, after getting to my front door I discovered, I had to use the back door. Had he just mentioned that in advance it would have been nice. I left my keys in a lockbox and the lockbox was not returned to inside the apt like I asked. The management company has asked us NOT to leave those out. My internet device was left plugged in, I had asked in person and in writing, it be unplugged when not in use. I had asked that bedding not be removed from my bed, I prefer to do that myself as the bed frame is susceptible to easily being damaged. The bedding was left in a pile on the floor with a damp towel at the bottom of that pile. Personally I was taught, if you use something belonging to someone else, including their personal space, to return it to the same or better condition you found it. In my opinion, this was not done for my space and my things. Petcare felt to me, as if it was less than the top priority and that Andy is not very experienced with pet care. Overall, I was unhappy with Andy's care of my pet and my space.

Giselle is a dog whisperer. Lucy is a pretty easy sit, but often doesn’t eat the first day I’m gone. But Giselle calmed her down and got her eating right away. She spent a lot of time with Lucy and sent me frequent photos, videos and updates. She left my apartment clean and waited until I got home to leave, despite the late hour. I’d have her back anytime!

I had a great stay in Calais; Avni and her partner gave me an excellent welcome. The animals were wonderful with me, and it was a real pleasure to spend time with them. The dogs are very well-behaved, and I loved taking them out and cuddling them. 😉 The instructions for taking care of the animals are very clear, so I highly recommend this destination if you want to enjoy the city of Calais while looking after these charming animals. 🥰

We had a lovely time hanging out with sweet Amelia. She is such a good dog and is very human oriented. Caroline and Ray made us feel right at home in their gorgeous house and we would gladly housesit for them again in the future.

Daniel has a wonderful home and was available to ensure Trek and Hope were well taken care of. I had everything needed to make my stay comfortable. Trek and Hope are sweet dogs who are trained, smart and loving. Great sit experience.

Kristine
I enjoyed my time very much taking care of Oliver at Kristine and Mara’s home in Dublin. Their home is right near the bus stop that can take you into the city center and there’s a lovely park nearby as well. Oliver is a sweet and shy kitty and very easy to take care of. Overall, I highly recommend Kristine and Mara’s home for an ideal sit!

Kate
Kate and Mike gave us a very warm welcome in their beautiful and clean home. Communication with them was excellent, they prepared detailed and clear guidelines for us and showed us everything we needed to know. They also recommended us where we can go to explore the surrounding areas and walk their doggies.

We were fortunate enough to take care of energetic Bertie and affectionate Bobby. Bobby is in his twilight years, but he's a very gentle and loving dog. Bertie is extremely clever and loves to run around on the walks. They are both very well trained and have a good recall. We had a lot of fun with both of them.

Kate's and Mike's home is in a very remote location surrounded by a stunning nature. Their doggies were amazing companions and we can't recommend this housesit enough!

Antonia
Our time spent at Tom and Antonia's Farm was really incredible. They and their two extremely well trained doggoes made us feel completely at home. We enjoyed a delicious meal together the evening before, got along famously, learned everything we needed to know and wish we were still in the country to be able to house and pet-sit the next time. The house, gardens, farm, location, Dougie and Zulu were the dose of English Coutryside we both needed during our visit from Australia. Thankyou for entrusting us with it all, it's been a week we'll remember for a long time. and hope we see you again some day. Every blessing for the future, Nick and Jane.
