Lovely family and adorable Monty, a much loved family dog. Monty has a super character and as long as he is with you all the time, he is very happy, relaxed and easy to look after. Monty was a pleasure to walk and we enjoyed long walks exploring every day. He loved his kong, a game in the garden and cuddles on the sofa in the evenings. Julia and I had good communication before and during the sit. She was happy for my eldest son, who was back from travelling for a short time to join me. It worked out well, we had a good rota system going for a shower, etc so Monty was never left on his own. We were made to feel very welcome on our arrival, showing us everything and going for a walk to show us the nearby popular walks. Julia kindly provided maps and ideas for walks to explore the area. West Horsley is a lovely village and about a mile walk to East Horsley, where there are shops and a nice dog friendly café to have a coffee and chat before walking back. There are many National Trust properties, parks and woodland in the surrounding area for endless walks. Although it was August, the weather wasn’t warmer enough to use the pool but perfect for taking Monty in the car for long walks in the Surrey Hills.
Jae and Jeff responded quickly to our first inquiry and the sit was agreed to the same day. Their house is found at the end of a small lane which isn’t on all the GPS systems. Passing through the front gate you’ll immediately feel the warmth of the natural surroundings. The backyard gardens are beautiful. Jae and Jeff are a supportive couple, organized and good communicators. They invited us to stay overnight at their home the night before the sit where they treated us to dinner, with Jeff taking control of the grill. We stayed in the upstairs guest bedroom with convenient access to our bathroom. The home has a lot of character and is very comfortable. Cody, a standard poodle, is a wonderful dog. He always wants to be around you. We took him on several walks to nearby parks, down scenic streets, and hikes along the shoreline. He is easy on the lead and interacts well with other dogs, children and adults. He is well behaved and likes riding with you in the car. He will also sit calmly at your feet while you are at any of the local restaurants. At the end of the day Cody will sleep in the bed with you if you like or he will sleep in his bed next to yours. He never whines or begs. The Old Mission Santa Barbara, Rose Garden and Museum of Natural History and several other parks are an easy walk. Longer walks will take you down the scenic streets of Santa Barabara where you’ll encounter even more parks. The airport, UCSB and the shoreline are a short drive. There are a number of nice restaurants within walking distance and even more just a short drive away. It is a pleasure to sit for Cody. We hope to be invited to sit again and we highly recommend this sit.

I really enjoyed my week with Figgy the young cockerpoo. She lives in a beautiful comfortable house and the walks around Minchinhampton are simply spectacular, especially in the autumn when I was there. Figgy is incredibly affectionate and we quickly bonded, and she’s also a lot of fun on long walks around the common and through the fields. She’s also very good at chasing squirrels—but happily always comes back! It was a treat to stay in the en suite guest room and the house has everything you could ever need. Although it’s big, it’s also very cosy and I always felt safe and relaxed and—bonus!—I slept really well while I was there, I think because the house is in such a quiet location. The owners were very appreciative but it truly was a pleasure to stay and take care of Figgy and I hope they have me back.
My time in Vienna taking care of Rika, the sweet and cuddly cat, was a great experience. Rika was always looking for extra snuggles and treats, making every day feel joyous. The apartment we stayed in was super nice, and it was in a quiet area but still close to all the cool stuff in the city. Brigit, who helped with everything, was really nice and made sure everything went smoothly. It was a really nice experience full of fun and cuddles with Rika, and I'm grateful for the chance to be a part of it. :)
Appa was such a joy! He’s such a good boy, and is extremely affectionate. He loved running around and playing in the backyard and going for some long walks through the neighborhood. This house in Burien is an absolute gem. The home is very cozy and clean, and the guest room is very comfortable and great for remote workers. The house is near everything in downtown Burien. Alyssa was super communicative throughout my stay.
