We stayed at Nick & Emma’s home for 4 nights and had the most delightful stay. The house itself was so lovely - a beautiful countryside home with a veggie patch that was to die for. The star of the show was of course, Lily, a 4 month old dachshund that won our hearts over very quickly. Lily was super affectionate and playful. As the backyard had so much space we didn’t need to walk her, but instead just ran her around the garden. Each morning we would go check on the hens and collect the eggs. They were all really friendly and easy to look after. And having fresh eggs for breakfast each morning was an added bonus! We would recommend this sit for anyone and would love to come back again.
WOW! Could not reccomend this house sit more! My sister and I consider ourselves so lucky to have sat for Stella, Kailo and Thorne. Jenny is one of the coolest, most lovely hosts I have had the pleasure of meeting on THS. She instantly made my sister and I feel so at home and gave us a good lay of the land. Kailo and Stella are a sweet odd couple - each as charming as the other. The location is hard to beat, if you love hiking up mountains and dogs, this is your sit! We made memories to last a lifetime! Thanks for everything, Jenny!
I thoroughly enjoyed this sit with Bocce, and look forward to returning. Bocce loves her walks, and will take you on all different tours of her beautiful neighborhood; full of foliage, flowers, lovely parks and historic homes with a great variety of architectural styles. There’s even a large, shady off-leash dog park only a couple blocks away. Given her energy, you’d never guess Bocce is 12. Still so spry. And just a few blocks away, on Connecticut Ave., there are all kinds of great restaurants, cafes, bars and shops; mostly locally-owned. The home has an open, elegant and artistic style of comfort, with a delightful Zen garden. Despite a heat index over 100 during part of my sit, the home stayed comfortable and my hosts were kind enough to check in from Italy. Thank you! Highly recommended!
I had a great house sit with Lynn & Andromeda! I met Lynn and Andromeda the evening before the house sit began when I went for a walk with them both and I was given an introduction to the home and Andromeda's habits. They are both lovely ladies! All the instructions were clear and the Welcome Guide was very informative. Andromeda and I had fun hanging out together sometimes on the roof if it wasn't too hot where we played ball when she fancied it. She enjoyed her walks in the park or the hills nearby. We just kept a lookout for other dogs or cats as she gets quite excited about seeing them. Andromeda is a lovely, sweet dog and loves having the sides of her head and her neck stroked. She was a joy to care for. I miss her! The area of the Acropolis is an interesting place to be, close to all. There were plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby. The view from Lynn's balcony, especially at night, when the Acropolis is lit up was beautiful. Thank you Lynn and Andromeda for a wonderful house sit!
What a true pleasure to sit these best fur buds! There was lots of laughter, oohhs and awes taking photos, snuggles, play time all with both Mr Kitty & Duff Duff. There was definitely more snuggles by both (after a good petting session) once the brief interruption for food, what they deemed their required snacks (hilariously that includes teeth care & the 1/4 pill) & walks/outdoor pee breaks (all totally understandable!). Kai might come off as a shy gentleman & Duffy as the great “big” house protector but they truly are marshmallows and will give you all the love and then some. Duffy does have a bit of reactivity towards medium & large dogs and guys (possibly more without mom around) but for the most part you can distract him (aka shake the treat bag or switch to the other side of the street). If I noticed the large dog pack going for their timed dog walks before I needed to leave the house, I would just wait a bit before going out with Duffy. The backyard made it easy to be flexible with that timing. Wendy’s home is beautifully decorated & well kept. I don’t think in the 2ish weeks I was there even noticed all the art & collectibles. Lots of neat things to look at, comfy enough couches I had naps on & just a really lovely space to spend time in. Kitchen probably was my favourite space - as it is amazing to cook in with that gas stove! Views of mountains from her place (albeit that’s changing a bit with the development beyond her backyard) & along the streets. The views of sunsets were really lovely during the end of the sit (when the weather settles, there’s more than just clouds which possibly makes it even that much more exciting to see the views). Friendly neighbours & in general, a safe place you can enjoy walking Duffy. If you get to meet Wendy, you will find that she is a genuine person, caring pet mom & a wonderful host. I think I enjoyed the pet sit so much because of the level of her care, planning & attention she gives to setting a person up for success. Plus her baking is seriously an extra special treat that I really enjoyed during the sit (I’m a sucker for baked goods!). In addition to that wonderful time hanging out with her boys, the extra time spent at her place & seeing more of the area from her views & favourite spots was really lovely. I also appreciated not feeling like I had to rush off to a next location before she arrived home (as I just love seeing how excited pets get when their human returns - it beats airport greetings). It was beyond a pleasure to spend time with Wendy & her boys & I’m sure it will feel like the next sit will go too quickly. Especially now that those 2 snuggly boys know me. Maybe, I’ll be lucky to even have better weather in March & do more exploring within Duncan & area next month.
Wow wow wow , we don’t really want to leave a 5 star review, as we want to keep this a secret 😂 This was our first house sit with trusted pet sitters , and it was amazing . We didn’t want to leave . Patricia home is beautiful and we stayed in the barn annex , which is a home from home with all the facilities you need . It was warm and cosy and a real home from home . Albert is such an adorable dog and is like a gentle baby bear . He is very easy going dog , he loved his cuddles and back scratches . Albert loves his daily walk down the fields to the river nidd . Jim jam the cat appeared throughout the day for his food bowl filling up and some cuddles , then he went off to bed like cats do ! The chickens and ducks were easy to care for with a daily top off food and they rewarded us with fresh eggs , what a treat . Hopefully we did a great job of looking after Albert and Jim jam and we will be going again soon 😊

Patty went above and beyond for our little fur family and we are so grateful to her. The care, love, energy and expertise she has on all things cats radiates through all that she does for her boarders. Our kitties came home calm, happy and healthy after two stays at the palace, as we like to call it. Highly recommend!
Patty is involved with the PANT program that assists with spay/neuter feral cats. Patty was instrumental in locating a foster home for 3 feral kittens. You can tell she is very passionate about animals. If I ever need her Pet Palace expertise, you can be sure sure I will seek her out. Her location is a very warm inviting house that is extremely clean. You could feel the love and compassion she passes on to her four legged guests.
We had a couple negative experiences boarding our dog while on vacation in the past and did some exhaustive research to find a safe place. We found Patty’s and after having visited there and talking with the owner, we were confident we found the right place. We have a big dog, and he’s got plenty energy to spare. On his last visit we were told he had a rough time, and in a very gentle and friendly way we were asked not to bring him back. This made us upset naturally, but it’s more of a reflection on how dedicated they are to creating a positive environment for your cherished pet than on our guys experience. We are in search again for the right fit for our big guy, and after having stayed with Patty three times previously, we thought it would work out, but c’est la vie. I would recommend Patty’s to any pet parent, and wouldn’t hesitate to bring our big lab back someday if we could.
Patty and her Pet Palace were an absolute blessing to my three cats and myself. My kitties stayed there for about two months, while I was dealing with a bunch of health issues in another state. Her safety and cleanliness standards are very high, so I knew they would be well taken care of, I just didn’t know how much! Patty ended up falling in love with my little trio. She sent me pictures of them, and long emails about how each was doing. The maximum amount of cats is 4, so they were nearly always the only cats there, and thus got extra space to roam. My oldest cat gets apple cider vinegar and chicken broth every day for upper respiratory congestion, and Patty made little frozen cubes of the mixture, so that none of the broth would go bad. But wait, there’s more! Like I said, I was in one state, all my doc appts were in another, Patty is in NY, and my next stop was moving to Colorado. I hired a transportation company to move my animals, and when communication went south with them and my stress level was soaring because I was literally in back-to-back appointments most days, trying to find a Vet who could come to Patty’s and write my cats a Travel Health Certificate each and getting no where, Patty stepped right up, and handled everything. She made a Vet appt, brought all my cats to the Vet, sent me pictures of the Certificates, and even dealt with unpleasant emails from the travel company. Literally, all I had to do was pay the Vet over the phone. It was incredible and such an enormous relief. I would recommend Patty and her Palace to anyone, without hesitation. ❤️🙏🏻
A place where They truly care for & about YOUR pet! We have our cats stay here & they love it as much as they can. The staff and Patty herself interract with the cats- give you an update on their physical & mental wellbeing. Never have to worry when we are away!
Best of the best in Rhinebeck and the surrounding area. Patty takes care of her boarders as though they were her own. Maggie loves being there almost as much as being home! Highly recommended
Next to home, our dog is happiest when she's at Patty's Pet Palace. It's the only place we can leave her without her getting upset!
My babies are well taken care of, Patty loves her boarders. Safe and no worries.
The best place to leave your dog. Patty is very experienced and takes care of the beasts
We wouldn't take our dog any place else! Patty is the best!
