We met David, Jan and Bella for lunch before the sit which was a valuable opportunity and made us feel happy and relaxed with the arrangements. Bella is a very loving and affectionate dog and such fun to be with. She is a young dog and still has some learning off the lead but otherwise very obedient and keen to please. The house was warm and comfortable and we so enjoyed our walks right from the front door. We would love to sit again and and highly recommend this sit.
We really enjoyed staying with Blues & Tugs. They are good natured, lovable, soft, furry, well trained, and always fascinating. Mickey and Jim's house is wonderful, and we had full access to all its features - lots of great books, lots of TV channels, comfortable bed, elegant bathroom. We highly recommend them as a sitting opportunity. One caution to potential applicants - this is not a stay were you can be absent from the house for long periods of time. The dogs need and deserve a lot of attention. So if you want to spend your time touring San Diego, going to museums, and laying on the beach all day, this is not the stay for you. For us, it was perfect - a week to get away, time to read, write, and paint.
We couldn’t have had a better experience here! Jen and John were so accommodating and welcoming. Pippa was the sweetest, we really enjoyed her company. Added bonus is that their place is beautiful, we spent lots of time in their sunny backyard.
We had a wonderful sit at Chrissie’s house. Fern the dog was fabulous company and was an absolute delight to be around. She’s such a good girl and very patient. She loves to play ball and will let you know when she wants to play. Dixie the cat was the friendliest and most adorable cat I’ve met. She loves to sit on your lap and have fuss and is very god natured. The Guinea pigs are outdoors and self contained and enjoy their fresh grass everyday and wheek at you for extra food or interaction. They are so cute! The chickens are self contained and we enjoyed learning about chicken behaviour and their antics. We quickly got into a routine of sorting all the animals first thing and last thing and then the day was spent with Fern either on a walk or at the beach. Fern can be left for a few hours so there’s lots of opportunities for exploring nearby Newquay or further afield. We adored all the animals and missed them when we got home! Chrissie is very laid back and friendly and replied very quickly to any questions. I would highly recommend this sit and would be very happy to sit again for this family.
Myself and Sacha had the most amazing time with Pomme. Nikki and David left detailed instructions to look after Pomme and poultry. Their house is in an absolutely beautiful location overlooking the mountains. We had lovely cuddles with Pomme and we can’t wait for more🥰
Did not sit as Janis situation changed suddenly at last moment. Maybe next time as the town is absolutely beautiful and lots to do.
