Paige and John were great. They were very communicative, flexible with some hiccups in scheduling on my end, and resourceful with some issues the cats were having with a brand new litter box. They were friendly and sent periodic updates on our fur babies and left the place clean and tidy!
The annex was comfortable, the garden was spacious and lovely - particularly the large swimming lake - and the dogs, kitten, chickens, ducks and tortoise were all interesting to get to know and feed. The location is very quiet yet a short distance by car to the sea at Ventnor and Shanklin. Colin (the rest of the family had already gone ahead to the holiday destination) went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and train us in the feeding habits of all the animals. We were gobsmacked at his construction skills (turning decrepit barns into a luxury home, a solid annex and a fantastic workshop). We would definitely go back if asked.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Glynis and Yan's comfortable home in Chelsea. The natural woodsy surroundings with great swimming spots nearby made us feel we were at a cottage. The picturesque villages of Chelsea and Wakefield are close by and offer interesting little shops and cafes. Callie the cat is adorable and affectionate. She loves being brushed and pet, and cuddling. We enjoyed meeting our very friendly hosts, Glynis and Yan. A great house sit!
We had a fabulous 10 days in Orewa staying at Lynn and Ian's house looking after Patch and Oly. Their dogs are very well behaved and our two boys absolutely loved looking after them. Every morning and afternoon we very much enjoyed our walks along on the beautiful beach. The house was warm, comfortable and spacious. Lynn and Ian left excellent instructions and were very welcoming, we had a wonderful time back in a stunning part of NZ! We hope we can return soon!
Leila is an exceptional host who maintained excellent communication throughout my stay, providing incredibly detailed instructions. She graciously extended the offer for me to extend my stay both before and after my sit, demonstrating her flexibility and hospitality. Upon my arrival, Leila treated me to a delectable meal and ensured that the house was impeccably tidy and clean. Her generosity extended to allowing me access to the garden's bountiful produce and the tranquil yoga room in the attic, which I could use freely. I wholeheartedly relished my time there, and caring for her two cats was an absolute delight. Kingsbridge, with its picturesque beauty, offers convenient access to captivating beaches, especially if you have a car. Additionally, there's a charming harbor house where you can indulge in yoga practice. I would recommend anyone to sit for Leila!
Khalua and the cats were a pleasure to care of for the week. Carolina was great with communication and very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. Khalua is so sweet and I really enjoyed her company. Meekah and Octave were very easy and provided some quality entertainment. Carolina's place is clean and in close proximity to anything around Orlando. Thanks for a great sit.
I spent ten great days at Christianes place. She is a very welcoming and lovely person. The three adorable cats are very easy to handle. I felt very relaxed in her beautiful house with the big garden and the mountain views. Your stay at her place will be definitely easier if you have a car or a bike. The house is right next to a protected area with great nature and forests. You can start beautiful hikes at your doorstep! Oh, and she has a (very lovely) cleaning lady, so obviously the house is very clean AND you don't have to spend time cleaning, which I really enjoyed. I hope I can come back again one day!
