A happy sit with happy animals. Lisa and her husband gave a warm welcome and meal on the eve of their departure. A welcome pack explained all regarding the animals behaviour, personalities and needs. Telephone numbers for our need should problems arise. Kia, Ginny and Bobby were affectionate adorable dogs. Lucy cat was close to home and loved a cuddle. Whereas Joe cat was more independent. The hens were cute and fun to watch. Let out at day break feed treats at fiveish and tuck in at twilight. Accommodation comfortable. A lovely sit.
We were so excited about our sit in Ilkley, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Our warm welcome from Joanna and Rollo, Mungo and Walter set the tone for two wonderful weeks. Despite the mainly wet weather we had great fun exploring the locality. You can be walking the dramatic countryside straight from the door, with the dogs off the lead. Home again to the cosy Aga, the heart of the arty, colourful, comfortable and creative home. Mungo is just the absolute dearest black lab, the very sweetest and most easy going gentle dog you could ever meet. Walter is a one year old fluffy ball of energy and as bright as a button who catches on to everything in a flash. We visited Saltaire which was fascinating for its industrial heritage and also enjoyed many river and canal walks around the area. A thoroughly recommended sit for anyone wanting to explore the beauty of the north of England from the comfort of a homely old stone moorland cottage in the company of two great canine characters! A 5* sit all round, thank you so much Joanna and Rollo
Susan is a very accommodating host. Her home is very cozy & in a beautiful location on the bay. Botehlo is a very sweet & easy to care for pup. I enjoyed my stay very much!
It was such a pleasure to look after Teresa's lovely Ladies, Dark Lord and Queenie. They both have such unique different personalities and we didn't take long to bond with each other. Dark Lord and I had many conversations as she is a real talker! And Queenie is so lovely and affectionate and gently demands it. Teresa's home was peaceful, spacious and so very comfortable for the three weeks I was there. Everything I needed was available and Teresa was always just a message away and very hospitable. It was a wonderful, happy experience!
We loved sitting for Jill’s kitties. They are so sweet and took little time to warm up. Niles was my new best friend immediately. Jill and Bret took time to introduce us to each one so we could recognize them by their personalities. Their house is very clean, and is filled with great details that inspired me to make changes at our house. The property is quiet and peaceful, yet Warren makes a good base for short trips. We would absolutely pet sit for Jill again!
I had a great time with Winky and Dagny! They are the sweetest little dogs – super affectionate and companionable, and well-behaved on walks. They were quick to warm up to me and spent most nights sleeping quietly in bed with me. Beth was very communicative throughout the sit and quickly answered any questions I had about the house/dogs. I would highly recommend sitting for Beth and hanging out with Wink and Dags if you have the chance!
