Rusty has taken fabulous care of Teddy and Buddy - they have clearly enjoyed having him to stay! Rusty took care to understand details around their routines before the sit including where everything was located in the house etc and we had regular contact before and during the sit. We had some fantastic amusing updates while we were away 😀 The house was immaculate on our return and two calm dogs welcoming us home showed us how comfortable they had been in his care. Jayne & her friend Graham stayed her for a week taking care of my Sulis and her boyfriend Tatters. The cats were not immediately attentive to the sitters from the beginning, which they nowadays are a bit more when people come into the house. They were fed and taken care of during the week, even if it seems like some of the diversity of food which Sulis are to receive every day, were not given to her during the week they were here (written in instructions and also showed where to find more during personal instruction, so shouldn't have been any possibility for misunderstandings). As the pet-owner I prefer a more attentive communication whilst I'm away (which also was communicated by me in advance, and reminded whilst I was away), though we seem to have different communication-style. I'm use to a bit more attentiveness to details, questions if something seems unclear during the week(better ask one time too much than one too little), photos being shared, so I can see how my animals are doing. I know not all home-/pet-owners are wishing for the same. There were a few agreements/instructions that seems to have been misinterpreted as well, even if all in writing, so my learning is to make more pictures for avoiding this. Overall the cats were taken care of during the week, and Jayne and Graham are great people that will be with your animals when you are away.

Carole & David were brilliant house sitters. They looked after our much loved Labrador. He was looking very fit and healthy when we returned. They sent us many photos of their walks, which was so reassuring that he was happy and well. Everything in the house was perfect when we returned.

Debbie

Debbie was housesitting locally so it was great she could pop-over and meet us and our dog before the sit. It's great she wanted to get confident with us and him beforehand. We had one concern over her bringing her cat with her (smell, damage, dog vs cat issues) but as it turned out you wouldn't have known the cat was ever here - the house was fresh smelling and uncatty. Likewise the rest of the house when Debbie left was super spotless and she did a great job caring for the dog and my greenhouse! It's worth adding that Debbie is a proper 'digital-nomad' ie she has no home of her own, so understandably wants to go from one sit to another. That lead to an awkward exchange of msgs on holiday when she wanted to change the time she'd leave here but we resolved that in the end. Something worth exploring and firmly buttoning down beforehand. All in all, especially if you're a cat owner!, then I'd recommend Debbie as a house-sitter.

Zsuzsa and Clive are still dream housesitters! Everything you could ask for...easy communication, spotless house with carrot cake and washed sheets, videos of cuddles with our animals and even some cool paddle boarding with the dog! Brilliant!

Celia & Daniel

Celia and her lovely family stayed with us at Easter and we invited them back this summer as they'd been such great sitters. Our dog Stan had recently been very ill with pancreatitis so needing extra attention and a special diet, and she couldn't have been more caring, communicative and proactive. We also had some horrendously noisy building work going on next door which they were very understanding about! They sent us regular photos of Stan and the house was left spotless for us. Such a joy to be able to go on holiday knowing that our pets and home were in such safe hands, I really can't recommend Celia enough, we'll certainly be inviting them to sit again!

Sue and Nick were wonderful house sitters! We felt completely reassured leaving our home and chickens in their care. They communicated just the right amount, and left their accommodation clean and tidy. We had problems with a dishwasher while we were away, and they dealt with the repair person, and kept me updated, so that this was all sorted by the time we returned. We'd be delighted to have Sue and Nick sit for us again in future and would thoroughly recommend them.

This was the second sitting Bev and Tony did for us. The animals were over the moon to see them again, which told us everything. Bev and Tony were incredibly flexible when our plans changed last minute and they had to change their airport drop off arrangements. The house was really well cared for and clean, which is no mean feat with 3 dogs and a wayward cat. As an added bonus Bev left us some delicious soup and scrummy cake. Can't wait to go away again and hope they will always be available.

Karen and Bill are the perfect hosts. Communicating with them is easy. They are a very thoughtful and caring couple. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their beautiful home and "Garden of Eden" backyard. Karen reached out to us before arriving to ensure the house was stocked with any necessary requirements that we may have. Upon arriving, they provided us with some great night out activities in Nashville and Franklin, that we took advantage of and appreciated. Looking after Reagan was the main attraction. She is a fantastic young dog that was so easy to look after. She has a fantastic personality and is incredibly smart. We took Reagan on a long hike to some waterfalls and her behaviour while on a lead was outstanding. Reagan quickly became Janet's new shadow and followed her everywhere. This was an exceptional sit. Tambi's was awesome! Her place is so peaceful, and Maggie and Paco were the perfect companions to unwind with while I was there. Both are so affectionate and wonderful company! Tambi was so easy going and made me feel right at home as soon as I got there. Overall absolutely loved this stay!

My partner and I were so lucky enough to have been chosen by Tammy to take care of her beautiful dog Roo, her chickens peep and cheep, and her amazing home.

Roo is a loving, silly dog who has such a funny character and personality to her once you get to know her. Roo loves to play in the backyard and is SUPER fast! Tammy was super helpful leaving a detailed list of everything we needed to know about Roo. She’s such a good girl and is guaranteed to make you smile just by being in the same vicinity as you. She might even share her chair for a night or two!

Peep and cheep are very low maintenance. Beautiful hens that hang out in their chicken coop and they even lay amazing eggs! Plus, when spending time over with them you get to take in the beauty of Tammy’s backyard and the amazing trees nearby.

Finally, Tammy is the definition of a sweetheart. Words cannot express how helpful she was with everything. She had dinner prepared for us when we arrived after a 9 hour drive from San Francisco, took us for a walk around the neighborhood with Roo, left us a packet with emergency contacts, recommendations, instructions and about anything you could ever need! You can feel the love and sense of family in Tammy’s home. Although we were only able to spend 2 days with her, it’s amazing to know we’ll always have a friendly face to visit in the Portland area.

Sean & Dale were just the nicest, most generous and easy going couple to ever sit for. After several years of housesitting, the kindness of folks I get to sit still amazes me. I hadn’t intended to housesit anymore, but had some extra time between moving homes — and do I feel so lucky for that — it was a perfect sit! Finn & Oscar are just the sweetest, most effortless to care for, and they love to curl up purring on ur lap in the evenings, and come and go as they please the rest of the time. So sweet when they are lying in the cat bed together! The house is super modern, stylish, with beautiful, peaceful rooms and I just felt super cosy and relaxed and tucked away up a quiet cul-de-sac. And Sean & Dale were the first people I met after moving to this new area after travelling and they have been supportive and caring ever since, checking in on me and showing me the local area and meeting up from time to time, I was even asled back to sit in spring too! Cockermouth is a quaint little town, but the fields and views of the lake district in the country lanes behind the house are just the best! I have been made to feel so welcomed to the area I now call home by them and it’s nice to now know of them as friends just down the road! If you ever get the chance to look after Finn & Oscar, do it asap, Sean & Dale are just the absolute best!

I loved house sitting for Logan and Brynn! Hemingway, Bo, and Nugget are very low-maintenence and love to cuddle and play.  Their house was in a perfectly central part of Denver, just steps from a park with great views.  It was my first house sit, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10 would recommend

What a pleasure it was to sit Anges and Goose, both sweet as pie. While Anges is FULL of energy she thinks she's a lap dog and will give you LOTS of love. Goose is low maintenance and also a love bug. Jamie's house is beyond gorgeous and within walking distance to many amazing restaurants and shops. I'd jump at the chance to sit for them again and so should you!
