Unfortunately our experience of Silvi and Gus was they are not trustworthy or responsible pet sitters. In our listing we had inadvertently overlooked including that we have a video doorbell that records entry/exit and doorbell rings. We have since rectified this oversight on our listing following the sit. On a chance check of the doorbell data since there were some unanswered rings, we identified they were severely neglecting our dog: - our dog was left alone at home for nearly 12 hours on one day and 10 hours another day when we had requested she was not left home for more than 3 hours (we ourselves have only ever left her for 5 hours on her own on rare occasions) l - Some days she was not walked and did not leave the house at all. We requested she is walked each day for at least 30 minutes. - Some days her walk was only 10-15 minutes If we had not seen the doorbell data we would not have been aware of these issues as when we asked about her daily walks, Silvi and Gus reported them as all fine. They were not honest and couldn’t be trusted so we asked our regular dog walker to come take our dog for some of the remaining days of the visit so we had more comfort she was getting daily exercise and care. We would not recommend them and are very concerned how they could treat pets they have only just met like this.
Cara was very reliable and kept the house in spotless condition. Nelly and Finn seemed very happy on our return. She also sent us some beautiful pictures of the cats. We would definitely have her back another time.
Is it better to board cats or leave at home?
