Thomas has a wonderful home and was very accommodating. Haley is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met, and Charlie is great, but does have a tendency to jump on people.
My son and I had the opportunity to stay at Prashant's place from the 5th of April until the 9th, 2023. This was our first sit here on Trusted Housesitters and we could not have had a better experience. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, Prashant was very approachable and answered all questions we had. He was super friendly, well-organized, and thoughtful. We arrived and had a lovely chat before they went on their travels. Purrsie was just simply adorable! She warmed up quickly and we had such a lovely time playing and cuddling. When she wasn't in the mood for playing she would just chill on the heater in the living room. The apartment is spacious and lovely and was perfect to relax after being out in Berlin. The kitchen area is nice and perfect to prepare meals, so you don't have to go out if you don't want to. Although, if you do want to go out, you are spoiled for choices as the apartment is in the middle of so many cafes, shops, and restaurants ... It's a perfect place to start exploring. Also, public transport is super easy as there is a tram station and subway station basically next to the apartment. It was perfect! Definitely would recommend this sit to anyone who would love to explore Berlin and loves cats! Also, we'd be more than happy to come and sit Purrsie again! She's such a cutie!
Gale was a fantastic host, she was very friendly and welcoming and did some shopping for me, food, wine and other goodies. This is always very much appreciated. Bodhi is the absolute embodiment of cat love, purrs and affection. He came and snuggled up to me at night, and in the mornings, woke me up, with kisses, head butts, and gentle slaps on my cheek. He loves to play and up to mischief in the cutest ways. I totally fell in love with him.
Gale’s house is absolutely gorgeous. A unique design, big, bright open plan space, very classy. There is a very good vibe in the house indeed.
A cute little garden that goes with it as well. The area where she lives is in a perfect location. It is on the outskirts of town, so you have the lovely woodland walks, and peaceful nature surroundings and after 15-20 min. walk and you are in the bustling town of Dorking, with all the essential shops and a lot of other interesting antique shops, art galleries and museum.
One evening, I dyed my hair with henna, and even though I took good care not to spill any anywhere, some of it must have been transferred to the kitchen panel, as I was doing the mix, or when I was washing it off my gloves. This is stuff, that one should preferably do outdoors or definitely not in other peoples homes. I didn’t even realise that it was me who made the stains, as I did my very best to be super careful, to not get any marks anywhere , I thought it was there when I arrived, but Gale confirmed that it wasn’t.
Just a split second and a few remains of henna, must have dripped off my gloves as I was washing my hands with the gloves on, to get the henna of them first, and a few drops must have travelled down, and stained the kitchen panel.
When I realised that it was my henna that did it, I was quite frankly flabbergasted, as I was super cautious, and was not at all aware that the stain was made by me. I was very upset and incredibly sorry that this happened, this was of course not my intention.
Accidents happen, to all of us. I immediately offered to pay for a new panel. The company making such nice and expensive equipment should be able to replace it. All I can do is offer to pay for it, which I did.
I am so sorry these few stains happened, but the most important thing in the house is Bodhi, and I did my very best to keep Bodhi happy and the house happy and clean (apart from the few stains on the kitchen panel)and that I definitely succeeded in. I would love to sit for Bodhi again another time. No dying hair there ever again. I promise.

I had the pleasure of staying at this dreamy home, a perfect retreat to unwind and relish in the tranquility of its beautiful garden, the cozy movie room, and the enchanting trail alongside a babbling brook. Boogie and Barfie, the adorable cats, added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. The neighborhood boasts convenient shops, and the location is not only well-connected but also secure. The welcome guide proved invaluable, and the house is equipped with all the necessary amenities for a delightful stay. Rickey and Anela were wonderful hosts. Rickey was very accommodating and even offered to let me have anything I wanted in his 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers. What a wonderful home. Loved the big screen tv! Chloe and Luci were such good dogs, they were very chill. Rickey said taking care of them would be like being on vacation and he was right… I thoroughly enjoyed this sit and look forward to having opportunity for sit for them again next time I am in this area.
My stay was more the amazing!! Freddy is such a sweet and lovely dog and i enjoyed spending time with him a lot!🌸💓It was easy and fun to walk him as he has good reactions to other people or dogs. My communication to Andrew was amazing and I could always ask if i had questions. I felt super welcomed! Thank you 🙏🏽 so much :)
