These are all of the facts that I have about Joe sitting for our dogs and it should be noted that he came to our house prior to meet our dogs and absolutely confirmed that he was capable of watching them: 1. He left the dogs in our backyard for extended periods of time with no access to the inside of our house (our dogs are NOT outside dogs). 2. We had 3 separate neighbors complain about our dogs barking because Joe left them outside with all of the doors closed. 3. I left a natural sedative on the counter in case of a major thunderstorm or fireworks. Joe drugged my dogs multiple times and on multiple days claiming they didn't like lawn mowers and apparently a helicopter flew over once? He overdrugged my dogs and I know this because the container is almost empty and was full when we left. 4. We have multiple huge holes in the backyard where the dogs must have dug for extended periods of time. The grass is gone in a few areas and we now have huge patches of dirt and holes. 5. Our entire bottom floor was disgusting - dirt EVERYWHERE. Pee and poop spots everywhere (we have hardwood and it can be seen where poo/pee were not cleaned up). Before Joe arrived, we shampooed the rug and washed all of the couch cushions, pillows and blankets. When we returned home, the rug was almost brown it was so dirty, the dog blankets had poop on them, there are pee/poo spots throughout the dining room and living room and the dogs chewed up one of their dog beds. All of the blankets and pillows had to be rewashed when we got home and one of the dogs peed on the couch. 6. He pitbull shamed! I cannot fathom being a dog sitter who met my girls prior to staying at the house and saying negative things about a specific breed (after he left). Based on these facts, I feel I can infer that Joe spent very little time at our house watching our dogs and caring for them. My heart is absolutely broken for what my dogs had to endure with Joe here. I will never use this website again because the dog sitters cannot be trusted. I just kept my account open long enough to write this review and to caution people allowing Joe into their home with their fur babies. As far as I am concerned, he abused my dogs.
Five stars just isn't enough. Juliet is absolutely fabulous. She was so responsive and made it simple to coordinate and confirm arrangements. While I was away, she took good care of Jerry and sent photos throughout the week. I came home to a happy dog and a super clean house. I feel so lucky to have met Juliet and I would be thrilled to have her back anytime!
Juno is a wonderful dog — very well-mannered and friendly. Accommodations were comfortable and tidy. Jan was very considerate, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A great sit!
