We had a wonderful stay in St Ives looking after Bramley, Apple, Loki and Bear. Our daily walks gave us plenty of time to check out the local neighbourhood and for Bramley to sniff as many leaves as he wanted! The dogs (Bramley, Apple and Loki) were very loving and enjoyed a snuggle in front of the TV in the evening, with Apple engaging with animal story lines! Bear, a beautiful British Shorthair cat, would just lay back and want to play. Fenella and Mark were very welcoming and it was nice to spend time with them before and after their trip. We had our own room with a luxurious bed and huge en-suite. Their home is warm and spacious with a sea view to watch the weather come in. Their house was in a perfect location for us to explore the South West coast - so many walks, which all had a nearby pub! Our favourite walks were out on Zennor Head and Lamorna Cove.
Wonderful sit with uber mega wonderful two kitties that we miss already! Asya is the polite old sister, cuddling with us and very gentle, and Bailyes - the crazy younger sister who runs around the flat at 40 mph ;-) They might wake you up at 7 am asking for food, or opening the food cupboard all themselves (team work!;), or get zoomies at 2 am or steal your dinner when you look away for 2 seconds, but they will most importantly steal your heart! The hosts Yannick and Chiara are equally lovely - they welcomed us at 1 am (thank you delayed BA flight!) and prepared everything for us and explained everything. The house is 10 min by train from Zurich HB in Leimbach area surrounded by hiking paths and the famous Planet Trail so really fab location! Thank you once again
Our experience housesitting for Fiona and Steve was truly a time we will never forget. The location in the beautiful south of Spain was quiet and tranquil, great for those looking for somewhere to reset. It's a lovely farm house, filled with so much love and good energy. Fiona and Steve provided us with everything we needed to make our stay as seamless as possible, including lots of information about the local areas, amenities and emergency information. The animals definitely each left their mark on us, with their unique characters and loving presence. They were a joy to look after, and we are very grateful for our time with them. Would definitely consider sitting again, and highly recommend this furry and feathery family to other housesitters.
As someone aiming to meet as many Pedigree cats as possible, I was thrilled to be chosen as Hilary & Tonys first sitter for Tommy, the gorgeous Bengal. With stunning markings, this independant, chatty boy was a delight to care for. He'd make himself comfy in my lap, and gaze at me in a way which warmed my heart, before settling to sleep in his hammock bed. He loves to give head-butt and, as mentioned, enjoys a 'cat chat'. Very funny. He really lived up to expectations. A truely beautiful cat. His beautiful home overlooks a lovely Marina, a brilliant spot to watch the sailing world go by. The binoculars I spotted, got a lot of use....😅 As a single sitter, Hilary & Tonys place is in the safest of buildings. With nice, friendly neighbours too. And as a non driver, taxis are reasonably priced at less than £10 from the Train Station. Highly recommended, I would happily return, given the opportunity.
