Angela house sat for us for 5 weeks, she is a very friendly, polite lady. On returning from our trip, our three pets were perfectly calm and happy as though we had just popped out. The house was just how we left it. We were in contact throughout our trip too which was very reassuring. I would definitely recommend Angela.
Where to begin!? I had an absolutely lovely time housesitting for Desiree. She was welcoming, helpful, hilarious, and I now consider her a friend. I came a day early to learn and assist with the horse duties. She picked me up from the bus stop and made us a delicious dinner too. The animals themselves were all such characters. The horses are bold and beautiful. They require the most time consuming care, but it's straightforward and routine, and doesn't take more than an hour or 2 between morning and evening duties (mucking stables, feeding, watering, holstering and leading to/from their pasture). The dogs are total sweethearts! I truly miss Bungani and Thani!! They are ideal dogs to care for; obedient, intelligent, and great company. The goose and guinea hens know their routines and are simple to care for as well. The house itself is gorgeous and feels so peaceful. It has a big kitchen, a bright and spacious layout, and is full of a variety of cool artwork, plants, and books. It sits on a huge property of oak trees and olive groves amongst the rolling hills. It's all quite stunning, and definitely worth it going for hikes and taking in the views. I would go back in a heartbeat to spend time with Desiree and to care for her home and animals again. This housesit was one of my top highlights of my travels in Portugal. I'm so grateful for the incredible experience. Thank you Desiree for trusting me with your home and animals!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location to potential housesitters. Christine and Gino are kind and generous hosts; they both welcomed us to a pre-sit dinner and made us feel like family. Their home is pristine, spacious and comfortable. The waterfront location, on the shores of Lake Erie, is a balm for the soul. Christine is a well-organised homeowner; she had prepared a clear and concise Welcome Guide, and we remained in contact on a daily basis through WhatsApp. This is a superb location with sweet and charming fur companions. Rufus and Simone are easygoing cats who enjoy attention on their own feline schedule. Daisy is an adorable little Pug who loves human companionship and the attention of her caretakers. It was a privilege housesitting for Christine and Gino; and I would be honoured to return, given the opportunity. A++
We had a great week with Huw and Bryn at their lovely Cheltenham home. We concur with Sheila, the previous sitter. These boys are a delight to look after. We arrived just before Emma and Tim left for their holidays, for a quick handover. Notes were emailed in advance regarding pet care. Emma and Tim are relaxed, friendly and helpful. Emma was responsive to messages during the sit. Bryn likes : cuddles, attention and rolling in smelly plops Bryn dislikes : not having cuddles and attention Huw likes : fetching the ball (24-7) Huw dislikes : not fetching the ball We can confirm both dogs are happy, laid back, and not bothered with other dogs, noises or traffic. They will follow you everywhere in the house. They eagerly went in our car and travelled well. They are not used to being left alone for very long. Plan to include them in your exploring. They were both responsive off leash. Their meal routine was easy to follow. They slept soundly in the kitchen at night. A tidy, spacious, delightful, modern home with all mod cons for a very comfortable stay, including a gym room. It is a very quiet neighbourhood. Lovely garden to enjoy in the warmer months. Sitters have use of the master bedroom en suite. Towels provided. Lots of lovely Parks to walk the boys nearby, a lovely local shopping parade on Bath Road and everything on offer centrally, in Cheltenham. The Town Centre a quick 25 minute walk. Meg is probably the sweetest dog I’ve ever looked after (and there have been many!) We enjoyed snuggling on the couch and walking on the common every day. House is beautiful and Sarah was organized and responsive. A lovely family. I highly recommend!
Definitely my favorite pack of dogs 😊 Each one a lovely character, and once you understand the dynamics of the group, super easy to handle and take care of, even for a single person. I had a wonderful time at Mussa and Skuli’s country house, more then words can tell. Thank you for having been so kind, thank you also for having such helpful neighbors ! It will be a pleasure to come and petsit again !!
