Sarah and Chris looked after our dog and house very well. Pixie was clearly well exercised and cared for while we were away and Chris kept in regular contact with me throughout their stay. Thanks very much!
Kona and Sedona are the sweetest most loveable cats! I call them the "Princes of Woodland Hills", because they definitely have that air of royalty lol. They love affection and being cared for :). April was great with communication and her home is lovely with beautiful grounds and amenities. Would recommend this sit highly!
I had the privilege of watching over Ricky in November 2022 for ten days. Carol communicated many of the essential details I would require well in advance of the sit, as well as provided me with a binder with all of the information I would need once I arrived. The fridge was fully stocked for me, and Carol bought me a lovely loaf from the local bakers. We communicated every day regarding Ricky and kept in touch. Carol offered to reimburse me for any incidentals I might need for Ricky, which was appreciated. About Ricky Ricky is a sweet young dog with A LOT of energy. He may look little but he is all muscle. Ricky likes to play rough - tugging ang pulling games, and running around. I found the best walking schedule for him is 45 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the evening, and a 10-minute walk at night. A few notes/tips for future sitters: - There is a nice little park behind Carol's home that Ricky loves to play fetch in. Note that he does not respond to recalls, so once you let him off the lead, it is up to him when the fun stops. Pay close attention to him when interacting with other dogs. - Ricky is triggered by the train, other dogs and of course, small animals, so he will bark or lunge if he sees or hears them. His prey drive is strong, so he will often pull on his leash. Go for the harness, always, for his protection, and a lead that you can comfortably handle - Carol has many options. - You may need to supplement Ricky's meals with toppers/treats throughout the day as he wasn't very interested in eating his kibble come mealtime. - Ricky prefers to be by you at all times and demand your attention. He will want to sit by you, wherever you are, but is a little shy in asking for help onto the sofa, chaise, etc. I found that sitting on the floor and lifting him up worked well for him. I loved watching over little Ricky and often think back to the entertaining moments we shared. I also very much appreciated Carol's hospitality. All in all, a wonderful sit and I would be pleased to watch over Ricky again.
I really enjoyed looking after Darcy, Archie, Nala and Nico. Nicole was a great host, picking me up from the station and showing me around the area. She was super helpful and always on hand when I had any questions. The house is gorgeous, close to the canal and lots of beautiful walks. I would definitely recommend this sit!
Jess was so kind and made sure everything was ready for me! The house is so cute, clean and cozy - and her pets made great company!
We enjoyed a very warm welcome from Catherine and John in this super N. Devonshire location on the edge of Exmoor. The house was surrounded by some lovely walks and a friendly community and was easy walking distance to all amenities.Harvey was very well behaved, enthusiastic and a great companion . We had a most enjoyable time and would recommend this house sit to others.
"Two Adorable Canine Companions ❤️🐶❤️🐶, Excellent Location 🏡, Welcoming Hosts 👏 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended Housesitting Experience! Ruby and Poppy brought immense joy during our stay; we truly cherished our time with them! Both dogs have delightful personalities, engage in amusing antics, and are easy to care for. Exploring the beautiful courtyards of nearby Belmont University became a favorite activity, especially since Poppy enjoys leading the way with a playful, four-paw low gear whenever Ruby takes the lead dog position on the walk. 🤣😂 Clint and Holly proved to be outstanding hosts. Their warm welcome upon our arrival and the well-organized setup in the pool house for sitters contributed to a seamless and enjoyable housesitting experience. Effective communication from the hosts added an extra layer of comfort. We highly recommend this housesitting opportunity!"
