Leeanne is an amazing person. So communicative, friendly and generous. She gave clear instructions for looking after little Princess and her home. A very nice, peaceful and quiet place to stay and a very welcoming community vibe. Princess was such a little angel to look after. She will be your shadow and lets you know when its time to play. She loves her routine and is very easy to look after. I would come back again without hesitation and highly recommend staying to anyone!
My family and I had a wonderful week visiting Arlington/DC. Bill and Mary were wonderful hosts and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Their home is tidy, cozy, and centrally located to so many things. We loved getting to know Bucky! He is very chill and content to relax most of the day. He looked forward to his walks but tuckered out after 10-15 minutes so we kept them short and sweet. He was wonderful with our daughters, ages 9 & 7, and loved all the belly rubs. We truly miss him after our stay. Bill was prompt with any questions/communication leading up to and throughout our stay. Their home is very centrally located and is within walking distance to many great restaurants and the metro. It is a quick train ride into DC. Their kitchen was stocked for any cooking that we wanted to do. The TVs had all the streaming services. The beds were comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Bucky and exploring DC and the surrounding areas! Thanks again Bill & Mary!
What a wonderful experience! Gauss is the funniest cat I’ve ever sat for. He has such a big personality and loves to play; one of his favorite games is chase/tag. The apartment is in a great location and has great views- it was so nice I had a hard time reminding myself to get out of the house sometimes. The hosts were communicative, friendly, and overall it was a very positive stay.
We had a wonderful sit with Maisie for 9 days. Maisie is an absolute joy to sit for. She is affectionate, easy going with a lovely character. We spent quality time taking her for walks, trips in the car ( she is a brilliant passenger) to visit National Trust gardens/ walks/ estates which we all enjoyed. A lovelier dog you will not find. Annie and Paul are kind, detail conscious hosts and they have been brilliant to deal with all through the process. Clear, concise instructions were left alongside a very thoughtful ( and tasty!) welcome pack. Thank you! They have a beautiful, very comfortable, well-appointed home which was an absolute pleasure to occupy for our sit. A really fabulous experience!
Perfect house sit! Of all our house sits this was by far our favorite. It's exactly the Spain experience we hoped for but also a priceless life experience. Generally we don't get to know the home owners too well, just a select few so far, but we got to spend a very fun and eventful afternoon/evening with Julie & Andy. They are really incredibly hospitable, terrific fun to hang out with, and full of so many fun stories. If you have a chance, do arrive as early as you can so you can get to know them. The house and property are as beautiful as it looks and better. Julie & Andy have spent lots of energy turning that land into a magical little kingdom. Andy made sure the pool was superbly clean before leaving us and we enjoyed it for hours every day in the hot Spanish climate. Julie left the house spotless and a fridge full of goodies which she absolutely insisted on us finishing as much as we could. The nearby town of Pinoso is very charming and has all the necessities you might need. The small villages surrounding the property are right out of a fairy tale and you should take some time to enjoy them as they are way more unique to look at and explore than a big modern city like Madrid. The instructions left by Julie for animal care are the best we've received by anyone on this site. You get a complete profile on every dog, cat, and terrapin which was helpful over and over again, especially if you need to find a cat as she includes details of all their favorite hiding spots. As other sitters have described to great detail, the dogs are a lot of fun and very loving and the cats (especially Frank) are as sweet as can be. They had a recent addition to their dog pack (Misha) while we were there who meshed really well with all the others and is still has tons of puppy energy which kept the poodles busy all day. Feeding the terrapins was our favorite daily activity as this was when the sun was starting to not burn our skin so much so we could walk the property comfortably, all the dogs and cats would walk around together with us and would be begging for pieces of the terrapin's food. The terrapins are a lot of fun to watch along with the dozens of frogs. The nights are stunning as the sky is clear as can be and stars everywhere. Julie encouraged us to use their telescope and we had fun spying on a planet with it. Sleeping is very easy as it is very quiet and very dark so it's easy to catch up on a lack of sleep. There's much more we could go into detail about but why spoil it? Go experience this slice of heaven for yourselves. We hope to be back someday soon. Very very soon.
