We had the pleasure to sit for Alike and Gabriel's lovely menagerie. The communications were easy and our duties well explained in a very relaxed environment. The dogs love their routine. Enzo will sleep with you after playing 'ballie', Biggie will cuddle up on the sofa in the evening after doing his job all day to keep everyone safe including watching over you when you're in the pool. Shugg will do his own thing and Mayol will be wherever you are. The kittens are super funny and the other three cats are independent, yet always present. Loulou will take a couple of days to come to you. The house is very comfortable in a great location. We were very lucky to be chosen and highly recommend this sit.
What a great house and pet sit! From wonderful homeowners Guy and Kay, to their awesome kitty, Phoebe, and to the nice and quiet and safe location of their beautiful home. All in all, it was the purrfect sit that I highly recommend!
My overall experience for this sit was most enjoyable! Madeleine and Vincent are very friendly and welcoming people. It was a pleasure to sit for them. Their dog Milo is very lovely and endearing, so it is a pleasure to take care of him. He loves to walk, play and be petted. As soon as I arrived at their house, the owners made me feel welcome in their home and I felt comfortable. I never felt any distance between me and them. They responded quickly to my questions when I wrote to them. When there was a repair to be done, they used their contacts to intervene quickly. Thanks for your trust again. The gardener and his wife (who took care of the maintenance of the house once a week) are very nice people and their presence makes the experience more enriching. With me, Milo was very good company and he allowed me to keep in shape with our many walks. He loves spending time at the beach too. He is respectful and he often stays by our side even on a leash. As for the maintenance of the house, the swimming pool and the grounds, this is done well even for a single person. The trees and plants are colorful and beautiful and they attract butterflies in abundance, which makes the experience unique! On the Internet side, I work online and I expected to experience several challenges on the connection side, which was not the case at all for me. Even though the internet is not strong, the Wifi got to the places I needed and it worked well for my needs. You don't necessarily need a car to live in Cabuya but it can make the experience even more pleasant in order to visit the surrounding places and carry out activities or meet more people. The community in Cabuya is welcoming and everyone greets and talks to each other in the street. I recommend this sit without hesitation!
Churro and Warren are a joy to work with, but the interesting part if the 3 chickens which follow you around out side and give you 2 or 3 fresh eggs a day. The location of the house is one of the best in Charlotte. Recommended.
Heart-melting kitties in an ideal location. What’s not to love! Rachel’s apartment is in the Oltrarno: a less touristy area below the Arno river with a ton of bars, cafes and restaurants to explore. Also walkable to multiple sites of interest as well as close enough to get into the town centre across the river (15-40 min walk will get you to most places). There were one or two hairy moments during the sit (stuff happens!) and Rachel was quick to respond and assist with resolving things. She was also kind enough to let me borrow a couple of items of clothing when she learned my suitcase hadn’t arrived with me! It’s clear how much she adores her boys Zachary and Samson, and it’s not hard to see why. These guys were the highlight of my stay. Their personalities are different from each other but each is incredibly adorable (and at times hilarious). The way they cuddle up with one another is super sweet too. I really miss them! I would highly recommend this sit.
Sitting for Amy was seamless! We were in great communication in advance and she’s even set up a walk-through-home video for our convenience. She had an extra bedroom for us and we were able to use all the amenities and the wifi was solid! Wren was our little butterball for the two weeks; she was anxious at first with her mom gone. But after a day or two, she was thrilled to see us every morning and hung with us at night. She will make it known whether she wants to lay 100% on top of you or be on the other side of the room, but in sight! Willow was a bit more boisterous and wanted constant attention. Playing fetch a few times daily really helped to get her energy balanced. She’s a barky one, but we found that being stern and forcing patience was easy enough. She’s a selfish lover and wants all that evening love and affection when watching Netflix! Often, we had one dog on each side of us every night and it was really lovely.
