Thank you Boo & Steve, for having us look after Barney & your beautiful house while you were away. We enjoyed it very much & Barney is a sweet dog. The area where you live, has great scenery & we enjoyed , walking & using the public transport . Your home is very clean, comfortable & very homely . Thank you for your kindness .
What a wonderful pet/ house sit. The homeowners are extremely thoughtful, genuinely good people and their dogs are an awesome reflection of them. The dogs, Benny and Dolly, have the sweetest personalities. They are very friendly and they’re also impressively well-trained! Spending time with them actually became my favorite part about my Denver trip. I just enjoyed them so much. They’re easy to care for and all they want to do is cuddle, play fetch and give hugs. If anyone is considering pet sitting here, apply while you can! I’m so happy I did. Thank you for everything, Rachel and fam!
Spent a pleasant 2 weeks in Pleasantville with Trixie the hound dog puppy, Zooma and Zaggy the cats, an unnamed fish and a ball python. Originally, the snake was going to be cared for by local friends, but when the process of feeding it was explained, I volunteered. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The animals great, although Trixie can be youthfully exuberant when playing fetch but well behaved on walks and car trips. She loves visiting the dog park. Communication was excellent with all the information I needed for a successful sit. P'ville is about an hour from Grand Central by train and I'd thought about maybe a day trip but with the Covid situation decided to explore the area instead. I was able to get together with 2 old friends who live in the area for meals.
It was an absolute pleasure to housesit for Wendy and Phil. Their cottage and gardens are beautiful and so well cared for and the cats Colin and Nelly are a delight to get to know and spend time with. Their home is in the most wonderful setting on Coppett Hill with walks on the doorstep. There was perfect communication with Wendy to arrange the sit and Wendy was very well organised to ensure all house details were available before and during the stay. I would love to return and can recommend this sit to anyone.
Truly wonderful hosts whose home and its setting are spectacular…. But the best part of this sit is the two sweetest, most affectionate and funniest felines ever! Homer is a quiet sweetheart who likes to snuggle at your feet. Hester prefers lying near your head so she can use her paw to encourage breakfast service! Hester likes to stalk through the front yard while Homer prefers to survey his kingdom from the screened porch. When they turn on the zoomies and chase each other throughout the house, it is hysterical!! They know when and where they eat, and take their positions readily…. Including bedtime treats! This was just a fabulous opportunity and we missed those babies as soon as we left to return home. Hoping we will see them again!! Their parents too!!
Barley is so lovable and awesome! Best walker ever. Dogs like Barley are part of what makes THS such an awesome site. We enjoyed Emily’s cute house and location as well! But really Barley gets a 10 star from us!
