What an utterly beautiful setting for a pet sit, together with 3 wonderful, well behaved pets, this sit was a pet sitters dream! We enjoyed every minute of our time there and found it was very hard to leave, particularly Koda. We had grown very fond of him and felt he was quite fond of us too. From the start, communications with Becky went very well, questions were answered almost immediately considering the time difference. The very detailed Owners Manual was a huge help, everything we needed to know was to be found in the manual. The house is so beautiful, plenty of space, lots of different seating areas, our favourite was the morning room. (We had a little hummingbird fly in to the morning room one morning at breakfast, so cute. Managed to get him outside again in a cat’s blanket.) Nighttime is very quiet and dark, ideal for a good nights sleep. Guest bed very comfy. Plenty of hanger space. Kitchen well stocked and appliances very easy to use. The extensive grounds are outstanding and we walked the meadows with Koda at least two or three times a day, every walk was a pleasure. We also enjoyed the swings and zip wire! Plenty of seating outside and the glut of tomatoes an added bonus! The whole area is very quiet and peaceful. Mount Horeb is a lovely town, we went troll hunting, paid a visit to the Driftless Historium and had several coffees at Sjolinds Chocolate House. We enjoyed, with Koda, the Military State Park and Stewart Lake Park (our favourite). Koda, Cuddles and Tiggs are delightful pets. Koda is one big cuddly bear, loves nothing better than being made a fuss of. He is very well trained, a credit to his owners. He loves the car, most dogs a car ride is getting from A to B. For Koda it’s about the car journey, he sits up in the back, looking about him, taking it all in, thoroughly enjoying the ride. Cuddles lives up to her name. The moment you sit down she is on your knee and wants stroking and petting for as long as you have the strength to go on! Never known a cat like her before for her cuddles. Tiggs does his own thing, likes a cuddle and petting from time to time but generally spends his time outside. Very easy pets to care for and to grow very fond of. To sum up this is a truly magical place to be and we cannot thank Becky and Dave for accepting us to sit. Should you be lucky enough to find yourself here on a future pet sit, you will not be disappointed, you will think you have landed in paradise! Thank you once again, just sorry we never got to meet you both! Your home and pets are a credit to you.
We really enjoyed looking after Fiona's two lovely cats and home. Both cats were gorgeous if a little nervous at first and her home was very clean, comfortable and well located near lovely walks and National Trust properties. Fiona communicated everything really well from pre through to post-sit and we would definitly recommend the sit and if possible return one day . Thanks Fiona :-)
Millie and Jack were very responsive to questions before and during the sit. Jack and Ernie were well behaved and quickly cozied up to a newcomer in their space. Everything was set up easily for me when I arrived. The location was wonderful and it was easy to get to anything I wanted.
