Piper & Charlie were absolutely wonderful. Piper doesn’t like storms so I spent a couple of hours with her on the floor until the storm passed and she did great. I fell in love with these two and would sit for them again anytime. Thank you, Anna & Carl!

Tonia
We had the most incredible time sitting for Tonia, Bill and Cleo. Their home was comfortable, beautiful and in an idea part of town. We could walk to a new restaurant for every meal of each of the 36 days we were there and still not hit them all. Addionally there were so many historical sites and areas of interest that we never lacking something fun to do.

The star of the show and one of the many reasons we would come back would be to spend more time with Cleo. She is the most lovable feline friend ever. She has a larger than life PURRsonality especially during brush time. She loves the camera too. You would think she was a model in one of her 9 lives.

This was a purrrrfffeeccctttf sit for us. We would pounce on another opportunity to sit for Tonia and her family again.

Beth & Brendan
Beth and Brendan were great hosts. We met via video call before the sit, and I met Brendan in person at the start of the sit. We did a walk-through before he left for their trip.
Communication was good. Here and there we had some technical issues with entering the house and, because of having less availability while traveling, Beth and Brendan were able to respond as soon as they could.
Beans is a super adorable cat that loves to speak with you, cuddle, and play. He is very easy to get along with and appreciates having company at home.
Spending time with the Beans and Frank together wasn't possible, as they hadn't been properly introduced yet.
Frank had only joined the home about a week or so prior to the sit, and he had to remain in the back room, except for his walks. It also wasn't possible to let Frank enjoy the backyard unleashed, as work was being done on the property next door, and parts of the boundary fence had been removed. I think Frank is a lovely dog and that transitioning from the street to living in a family home will take some time.
The location of Beth and Brendan's home is great, with easy access to restaurants, grocery stores and pharmacies.

Christine
House sitting for Christine was an absolute dream! Her home is in a quiet neighborhood and is easily accessible to many stores. So if I work from home expect minimal noise, outside of ducks and lawn mowers. We checked in at least once a day and she was very responsive. She ensured that I knew where everything was within and around the home.

But Bing is a wonderful dog and truly stole my heart. He was exactly as she stated he would be, a very chill dog who was my buddy from day one! He loves extended walks and certainly has a charming personality.

He also likes to sleep with you and will lie next to you (once he's warmed up to you) on the couch. He will sit by the door or make serious eye contact when he needs to use the restroom. He's dog friendly and loves meeting new people, when he's not sniffing about.

I would recommend this sit for anyone who is seeking to explore Jacksonville Beach. I certainly will nominate myself as tribute should Christine need a sitter again; I'd be delighted to spend more time with Bing!

Leanna and Claude are two friendly, protective, and energetic doggies. They love belly rubs, rolling in the grass, and peanut butter. Yes they do bark almost everytime someone passes by in the hallway, but to be honest, I felt very protected by this both inside and outside of the apartment. When I sensed any developing agression in them before passing someone outside, I would take some time to stop, put them on short leash, then tell them: "It's ok" and they would naturally settle down.

Claude is a floofball and the softest dog you have ever cuddled. Leanna likes to give little doggy kisses with her tongue when you're getting ready to take them out.

There is a McDonald's nearby where I would grab some coffee almost every morning. Try the snow crab legs from Ruff 'n Ready Crab House and pair them with the Tropical Beer Hug I.P.A. from the liquor store right next to the building. If going for a night out into D.C., be mindful of closing time for the Metro as it tends to stop running early.
