My daughters and I had a fantastic time pet-sitting for Jenny in April 2018. Walking and playing with her dogs Joey, Toby, and Fred was the highlight of the trip for my girls. Jenny is very kind, welcoming and easygoing, and even though we arrived late the first night (we had lost our GPS connection) Jenny had a meal prepared for us and took the time to show us around. She even brought back some dessert treats for us from her trip to the UK, and gave us some farm fresh eggs (from her hens) to take with us back home. The village Jenny lives is in a gorgeous area and very well-preserved. It's listed as one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France, and that's no surprise. There are many things to do in the area and we had a wonderful stay. Jenny's home is spacious and within a very short walk to the center of town. And don't be concerned about the number of animals she has; they were all easy to take care of. The hens do their own thing, as do the cats for the most part. She's laid out everything with good instructions; it's very straightforward. You will enjoy yourself! All in all, a sit here is highly recommended. Thanks again Jenny!
House sitting for Andrea, and taking care of Tiger and Yoda, was relaxing and trouble free. Tiger and Yoda are very sweet and extremely easy to care for. They are affectionate, and fun to watch play around the house. With the open layout of Andrea's home, which is full of light and has wonderful views (especially through the very large back window), I felt like I was in a personal art gallery for my stay. It was a real treat and I would certainly do it again given the opportunity!
Sophie and her partner were incredibly welcoming and sweet, they are amazing pet parents. The house is beautiful with all you could possibly need within walking distance. Mali is super sweet but she is very sensitive to any type of sound, even voice and laughter, she gets really anxious. It is not recommended to use the phone when she's around, even listening to voice notes. Fritz is the sweetest little guy, he loves cuddles! Overall the stay was really nice and location is excellent!
Harriet & Autumn were an absolute joy from start to finish. Harriet is an exemplary host, very easy to get to know - extremely organised, flexible, thoughtful and welcoming. We worked well together throughout the contactless sit, taking everything in stride as we went along. On top of Harriet’s concise welcome guide, we texted to fill in what I needed to know about Autumn ahead of the sit. I felt both comfortable and completely at ease throughout. Communication was a breeze and always prompt. Harriet made sure everything was sitter ready and handed over a spotlessly clean home - which is always much appreciated by sitters. You couldn’t ask for a better accessible location. It’s literally a 3 minute stroll away to Tesco and a good selection of eateries. Bustling Ealing Broadway is an Uber ride away . Harriet’s home is in a nice neighborhood & conveniently located to other nearby boroughs as well. There is plenty to do and explore. Icing on the cake for me is darling Autumn. She is very low maintenance and an absolute joy to sit, independent, incredibly well behaved, affectionate and playful once she gets to know you. We hit it off from the moment I arrived and bonded nicely. Without exaggeration Autumn is such a character. Just give her time & space to trust you. Win her trust to unravel her endearing personality, bed time snuggles but always on her terms. Don’t lift her. Best to let her come to you to ask/signal for strokes. Truly such a joy and a breeze to care for and tons of fun. It resonated with me the commitment Harriet made in giving Autumn a loving home and a second chance. Autumn is clearly a happier kitty for it. In closing, massive thanks Harriet for picking and trusting me with darling Autumn and your cozy home. I miss my full on conversations and snuggles with Autumn. She’s such an endearing intuitive kitty and I love her for it. I recommend this sit wholeheartedly. 10 stars for Harriet and 100 stars for Autumn. You will enjoy this friendly ,thoughtful homeowner and her lovely neighbourhood. Above all the absolute joy of sitting Autumn. Enjoy as much as I did.
We loved spending time with Marilyn! She's a bit shy at first, but with a little bit of love (and some food) we won her over... Apartment was perfect - in a very convenient location, with everything we needed. Thank you to Fran for the welcome chocolates (which didn't last long) and the great communication before and during our stay. We hope to be able to take care of Marilyn again sometime in the future!
