We highly recommend this sit! This was our first official sit through TrustedHousesitters and let me say, Carrie's family home was like something out of a magazine! So cozy, spotlessly clean and comfortable all around, we instantly felt at home - especially with all the beautiful Christmas decorations! She left post-it notes to help us navigate and added thoughtful touches like travel bathroom toiletries, towels, beer, wine and chocolates for us! She is an excellent communicator, so we felt very prepared and supported during our stay. The dogs, Gus and Josephine were an absolute pleasure to care for - very affectionate and incredibly well behaved. We had a great time walking them on the nearby trails within just a few minutes of the house. They are super easy dogs to care for and really gave us all the puppy snuggles we were missing! The neighborhood was very friendly and safe with close access to all necessary amenities. Oh, and did I mention the luxury hot tub?! We never wanted to leave!! Thanks for making our first sit such an enjoyable experience!
It was an absolute pleasure to sit for Sarah. She is a warm and kind person and it was very easy to communicate with her for the whole stay. Monty is one of the loveliest dog I ever meet and spending time with him was a delight. He's very well behaved, very loveable and playful and I had such a great time looking after him. Was definitely my favourite sit using THS and will gladly come back in the future. Thanks Sarah and Monty!
We couldn't have asked for a better housesitting experience! Winky was simply the best and we thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her. Suz and Dave were wonderful hosts and communication with them was a breeze. They were very accommodating and we even received a thoughtful gift upon their return. We appreciate their trust in us and hope to see them all again soon!
Love these pets so much! The cat is beautiful and friendly, the dogs were so sweet and very entertaining. They love walks and pats! An amazing house to stay in too. For me it was a remote working retreat with many beach swims, walks and some surfing. Beautiful place and hilarious cuddly pets who were happy to sleep whilst I worked through the day! Would recommend this house sit to anyone 😊
We had an absolutely amazing experience looking after Jackson in Samoens. First off, Susan and Kevin's home is beautiful. The apartment we stayed in is lovely and has everything you need for a cozy stay, with the pool being an added bonus over Summer. Samoens and the surrounding area were a pleasure to walk or bike around and we loved taking Jackson for a morning stroll in the village and grabbing a pastry from one of the bakeries in town. Jackson is a dream to look after, we have never met such a well behaved dog. We took him for 3 walks a day, two shorter ones around their home (am and pm) and typically would drive him down for a later morning stroll around the village. He is such a friendly dog (to both other dogs and humans) and loves his pats and cuddles. We had a great 10 days together and were so sad to leave him by the end of our stay, he has truly stolen our hearts. Susan and Kevin made us feel welcome from the first time we spoke. They left us a comprehensive welcome guide and were responsive via WhatsApp if we had any questions. In summary, this is an incredible housesit and we would come back in a heartbeat.
It's difficult to imagine a better sit than this one. Kate's home was warm and welcoming and her high speed wi-fi was essential and much appreciated for one of us to work from home with. Maisie was a joy to care for and look after. A more obedient and sweet dog you couldn't wish to meet. Well-trained, loving and affectionate, she was such a pleasure to look after. We will always remember our walks along the incredible beach at Deal fully understanding why Turner was so inspired by what he saw. With the beautiful historic Deal and Walmer on the doorstep and Margate with the Turner Contemporary and Carl Freedman galleries everything was perfect. Kate was the the perfect host. Our sit being over Christmas and New Year Kate thoughtfully provided us with a tree and some festive goodies which were much appreciated and of course made us feel right at home. If Kate would have us return, we would love to come back and take care of Maisie on another occasion. Thank you Kate!
