We don't have words to express how thankful we are to Chris and Sarah for treating us so well. They're amazing people, super generous, and awesome hosts. Getting along with them was easy, and we had a blast. If anything could make our stay in a beautiful place like Perigeux even better, it was getting to know them. The city is charming, with some stunning landscapes to behold. It strikes a perfect balance between history and nature. Plus, they lent us their bikes, so we could go on some rides. And what about Ginger and Percy? Easiest dogs to take care of, so affectionate and well-behaved. This isn't just a flattering review, but honestly, we hope to look after them again soon because we had such a great time with them. Big thanks to our Perigeux family, hope to see you all soon!
We had a wonderful sit at Gina's place with Poppy and Coco! Gina's home is beautiful and comfortable. I especially enjoyed all the amazing art and the super-comfortable king-size bed where we were able to spend cozy nights snuggling with the dogs. Gina's home is situated in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood and is close to interstate access that gets you into downtown Omaha in about 10-15 minutes. The backyard patio area is a lovely place to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet in good weather. Poppy and Coco are extremely well-behaved and well-socialized and ADORABLE dogs. And they are super-sweet!! We enjoyed taking them for walks, playing the "hide the cheese" game with them, and watching them wrestle. They are very people-oriented and are mostly happy just to be around you, sitting next to you on the couch as you watch TV or work on your computer. As Shih-Tzu's, they do have some grooming needs to be aware of, and Gina was great to meet with us before the sit to show us how to do this part properly. Daily grooming became my "girl time" with Poppy and Coco as our pre-bedtime routine. We all absolutely fell in love with these pups, and we were very sad to say goodbye. If you've never visited Omaha, you are in for a treat. During our week, we went to a Broadway musical (The Lion King), two classical music concerts, the zoo, the botanical garden, and the Durham historical museum. The Old Town is a fun place to walk around and shop, and many recent updates to the downtown riverfront park have made it a great place to take a walk or just relax. Omaha also has quite the food scene! We enjoyed great Thai food, brunch, and of course, RUNZAS when we were there. Overall, I highly recommend this sit for anyone who is looking to bond with some sweet little dogs in a fun, under-the-radar midwestern city with tons of amenities. Thank you to Gina, Poppy, and Coco for welcoming us into your home and giving us the chance to enjoy Omaha with some great canine companions!
We had a great time staying with Bo, Fig and Marzi. The girls were immediately affectionate meanwhile Marzi had to get to know us first. They’re all very calm, it’s easy to get the hang of walking the strong girls. The house was tidy, a lovely and unique place to stay. Tom’s café has delicious food and amazing coffee. Tom and Julija had excellent communication, instructions were clear however they were quick to respond to any questions we had.
I had such a great time sitting for Juno and Atlas! They're the sweetest kitties, love to play, and are super easy to care for! MJ was very communicative and provided tons of great information. Also, her place was very comfortable, safe, and close to so many fun things to do in Austin.
Riley is such a fun snuggle dog! Great home for a quick getaway to Philadelphia. Very central!
