Well this truly was a great Sit, what a wonderful time we had caring for adorable Dylan in beautiful Lyme Regis. Dylan's owners - Ragnhild and Marc are so lovely. They are both very friendly and they generously welcomed us to their delightful home. We had a lovely evening with them both before they left the next morning. Ragnhild regularly kept in touch with us before and during our Sit and gave us all the helpful information we needed with regard to Dylan and their home and the location, best walks etc. On to Dylan - well he is an utter Sweetheart! Such a pleasure to care for. He is so well behaved and has a wonderful loving temperament. He's just a big teddy bear. He took us on his favourite walks exploring the beaches and countryside, never straying far from our sides, lead free, on his field/lane walks and happily having his lead on through the town and along some of the main beaches, just as per his routine with his Owners. He has very good recall. He loves his ball but not obsessed with it. He loves his two long walks a day and there are plenty of great walks from the house but also he's happy having a car ride out, he's a great passenger, so we often went for day trips to nearby cliff top walks, taking a picnic and his lunch/water with us. He's a pleasure to take out, very good with other dogs, people, a very sociable dog. It's fair to say we totally fell in love with Dylan. During the evenings he loves to cuddle up next to you on the sofa, loving his ears stroked or laying by your feet. He sometimes slept at the side of our bed at night and would greet us with his gorgeous fluffy face in the morning. Ragnhild and Marc's home is bright and modern and very comfortable and in such a great location, high up but you can easily walk from the house down to the town and beach, about a mile. Lots of great places to explore, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, a hike up Golden cap, we were spoiled for choice and Dylan is very easy to take along. Dylan was very good and patient at grooming time or when we had to wash/shampoo him after he'd had a fun beach play. As with his teeth cleaning, easy to do, he's such a good boy. He sometimes has a woof, just to tell you something, mostly when he's excited about going out. But he soon stops when you tell him. So many highlights of this Sit, Dylan being the best. We would highly recommend this Sit, but do be aware - Dylan will definitely steal your heart. We would return in a heartbeat. I had so much fun hanging out with Wesson! Rachel gave me clear instructions for taking care of him and stayed in communication with me throughout the time I was there. Her home is beautiful and in a really fun area of Portland that Wesson and I got to explore during our walks and he was perfect on a leash. I would definitely recommend sitting for Rachel and would come back anytime.
I can’t say enough good things about my first housesit experience through this platform. Melanie and Dylan are amazing, interesting and super friendly people, and their home is so welcoming and comfortable that I had a hard time leaving! Their kitties, Luna and Takk are SO sweet and full of love and cuddles... we bonded quickly and I miss them already!
I had an excellent time in Lilias apartment with friendly cat. That was also pleasure to communicate with the host, she was so open and kind with me. The flat was coisy, everything for me to have rest and work that days. Around there are places to walk, to eat and easy with a parking for my car. With Riki we become friends the first evening. He loves cuddles but also is very delicate in asking it. When I worked he from time to time sited on my knees and that felt coisy. I am grateful for this time and recommend from all my heart!
Cinnamon and Nutmeg and Fish family, are a joy to care and love for. Janice and Rod complete this family and home that is filled with blessings and thoughtfulness. From the in depth welcome guide and videos and ease with communication, Janice and Rod are kind and filled with love and care for their adorable Cinnamon and Nutmeg and making sure you enjoy the kitties like they do. It was lovely to get to know Janice and Rod and enjoy some time together listening to their fascinating travels and biking adventures. It was a peaceful neighborhood and a real pleasure to be there for sweet Cinnamon and Nutmeg. I will miss playing Nutmegs favorite string game with her sister Cinnamon, receiving their special gifts with pride, and listening to their meowverless conversations and giving them lots of caresses and love.
Tara is a great host and was very thorough with the walkthrough of the house before leaving, its a really nice house with lots of space and a great sized kitchen. Gus is one of my favourite cats i’ve ever met, he’s like a cuddly teddy bear who always wants to be with you. One night i woke up and he was in-between my arms. His love for affection and belly rubs its undeniable. I’ll miss him a lot and hope to see him sometime in the future.
