Virginia was fantastic!! We were nervous using the platform for the first time, but she was very communicative and helpful, providing us amazing peace of mind. Our fur babies were well taken care of, and we received regular "photo shoot" updates. We would absolutely recommend Virginia without hesitation!
I had such an amazing time staying in Brimpsfield. I miss all of the animals already! This is the ideal stay for someone who wants to experience what it is like living on and running a small holding. There are a few responsibilities looking after the animals, but that was very much what I was looking for. The house itself is really comfy with great wifi and everything you need if you’re a remote worker like me. I can highly recommend this place, although you would need to battle me for it as I will take the opportunity to house sit here again if I can :)
This was such a wonderful sit! It's my first official sit thru Trusted Housesitters, although I have experience and it truly set the tone. It was amazing in the most holistic way. From the start, Mattias' was responsive and we had a quick and efficient video chat where he showed me their home for a last min sit that went so smoothly! I was looped in with Delaney via text. Delaney was so thoughtful. Their home's beautiful. They put so much love and thought into designing a streamlined flow. It's spacious, lots of huge windows, very comfy, super functional, gorgeous plants, lots of fresh air, and nearby reliable transportation including Circuit, a free service that arrives literally within 3 min! They had a welcome guide with thoughtful recommendations. And just when you think it can't get better, Peanut and Pepper greet you at the front door. They're so affectionate and sweet. Peanut wasn't anxious around me and warmed up to me first. He's more like a toddler and it's entertaining watching him play. It's fun playing with them, too, but he definitely has his own fun! Pepper's more observant and refined. She spent a lot of time with me in the kitchen. This is where she most showed me affection. She loved gliding on me here. I sat down and gave her belly rubs. It's a great place to work especially if you thrive on diff environments. There's a dining table, a creative room, an office desk in the guest bedroom, and the cozy couch, but my favorite is the desk in the living room right in front of a huge window. There's an ADHD friendly chair and there's another chair nearby. Peanut and Pepper sat next to me here, which is why it's my favorite! They love looking out the window. Sometimes they sit on the table but they won't invade your personal space and take over by pouncing on your laptop. They just wanna spend time with you. Pepper likes to brush herself against my legs. I loved spending time with them. As a house and pet sitter, I'm there to support the cats and pet parents, but it's deeply appreciated when thoughtful care and consideration is extended toward me. I'm big on mutual support. I'm looking forward to sitting with them again!
Stressful sitting experience. Urgent texts on the morning of the sit that I had to arrive as quickly as possible as they had forgot to feed the cats, then more texts to say the flights and been missed, which had me panicking too. Towards end of the sit homeowner says they will arrive back 24 hours later than agreed on and detailed on the sit listing. This made my next sit very stressful as it was immediately after thus had to travel back and forth to both properties from far opposite places in London. Had already changed beds and prepared everything for home owner's returned thus had to sleep under a blanket on the sofa. The cat also went missing on the final day which was a very stressful situation for me the weighed heavy on my mind the whole Easter weekend and left me feeling really anxious. When cat returned it was revealed that cat has gone missing in the past but never mentioned. Also gas oven door was broken which was a worry when using the oven and washing machine door hanging off which was another concern. Unfortunately during the heat wave that occurred, some coconut oil leaked in my bag on to the dining room table which I attended to straight away and informed home owner. Three months later home-owner sending me rude accusatory texts about it, and now left me a negative review. Can't say I recommend this one. Disorganised and stressful.
Friday was a delight. He has such a big personality and well trained. I would love to see Friday again.
We had a great "mini-get-away" at Mel and Luke's home in the trees. The location was excellent with access to some beautiful walking trails just across the street. Their house was very comfortable with everything you need including a large deck and yard (morning coffee on the patio was very relaxing). Four dogs may seem like a lot but they all got along very well and their personalities are so easy and loving. We enjoyed our time with Bella, Bodhi, Elsa and Guinness very much.
We had such a lovely stay at Christine’s loft. Happy and Billy were a joy to look after, they are such sweet dogs and very easy going. The flat is stunning with an amazing view of the Shard and is perfectly located, close to the best restaurants. Christine was great at communicating and really helpful. We couldn’t recommend looking after Billy and Happy more. We’d love to come back again ♥️
