Ross and Noel welcomed us in their clean and spacious house with excellent WiFi connection and showed us around. Their home is located in a quiet neighborhood close to shops and restaurants with convenient transport links to Manchester's city centre. Ru was very easy to take care of, he's quite shy with strangers but once we spent some time in the house with him, he become sweet and affectionate. He's very well behaved and pleasure to look after. We would be happy to come back if given the chance and we recommend this housesit. 😊🐱
We had a great time housesitting in Nathrop for Kim! Huck and Hank are fun, energetic, and cuddly companions and Kim's home is super close to great mountain biking trails and the Mt. Princeton hot springs. I definitely recommend this sit, just be prepared for some intense games of ball :)
Alyssa was great with communication and lives in a walkable part of downtown. I was so sad to leave Oakley after our sit, she’s the sweetest cuddle bug! Oakley loves her walks, making friends, and morning hugs. Highly recommend!
A lovely sit in a beautiful home a block away from downtown. Otie and Iris were a delight, simple to care for and each with their wonderful and unique personalities. Otie is very sweet and loves his walks. He is well behaved with a clear and structured schedule. Iris requires only feeding and changing out the water. She has a fun personality. I appreciated such clear instructions from Lowell and Ann, a lovely couple to whom I am very grateful for giving me one of my first sitting experiences. I so enjoyed it and would jump at another opportunity to return for another sit.
Venetha is such a kind and caring person. This was the best first experience on TH I could have hoped for and I'm grateful to have had such great communication. When I met her on Zoom, I felt comfortable right away and knew I could call on her if I had any questions. Her older cat needed some ear drops and a thyroid pill daily, but he was chill and cooperative. The younger one was shy and stayed under a bed much of the time. Venetha assured me not to worry, that she is just shy. There are great shops and restaurants nearby (favorites: a German bakery, cafe & beirgarten called Guglhupf, Foster's Market, & some bookstores). I walked one morning around Duke Gardens and you can walk right from the Gardens to Duke Chapel (less than a mile). It's only 10 minutes to downtown Durham and there is free parking there on evenings and weekends. You can go to the rooftop at the Durham hotel and watch the sunset, eat the best ice cream in the world at The Parlour, check out the farmers market, & so much more. You can catch a baseball game or see a show at the Durham Performance Arts Center. Durham is a very cool city and really fun to explore! There are also food halls, parks & museums. Thank you Venetha for your kindness and allowing me to care for your precious Miso & Dumplin!
One of the best experiences I’ve had this year was spending a week with Tootie, Rosie, Kiki, and Shrimp in New Orleans. Though they were busy preparing for their trip and working from home, pet parents Kate and Jasmine both went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable and understood all of the details of the assignment. The dogs are both very sweet and enjoy their walks around the nearby school. Almost every day, a new neighbor would wave at us or briefly chat from their porch. Kiki and Shrimp are both indoor/outdoor cats, so they were clear about when they wanted to explore the world, and when they were ready to come back in. Personally, I loved cooking in this beautiful home (there’s a grocery store within walking distance) as the animals lounged around. They also have a gorgeous pool which I also enjoyed. Rosie has the best pre-dinner dance that is 100% unique! I see TikTok stardom in her future. Tiny and adorable, Shrimp is one of the most affectionate creatures I’ve ever met. Kiki is the individualist of this dwelling, but she did cuddle with me at times. As the eldest, Tootie is the tribal leader. She might need some convincing sometimes for walk time, but she is always excited about meal time. I would caution that while I was there during the month of June, it rained a lot, so if there was a window of sunshine, I took it to walk the dogs. It almost always started raining the moment we got back inside. New Orleans is a magical place and Kate and Jasmine’s home was the best place to experience it. I had an absolutely wonderful time.
