Carly was wonderful. She was kind, communicative and treated my home and dog as I would’ve. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
There are no words for how beautiful the area and the farm are… its not a touristy area so tough to fund people who speak english (which just adds to the adventure for me). Perfect accommodation in a tiny house, some wonderful dinners with Marjan and Hans; and the added bonus of meeting the twin daughters! It was pretty simple taking care of the goats and turkeys, the kitties became my constant companions - accompanying me to the barns to offer suggestions! If you enjoy peace and quiet, gorgeous scenery in a relatively undiscovered part of Italy- you will love this sit! Hans and Marjan are warm and welcoming, and extremely interesting with their worldwide travels-I hope at some point in the future I can return . Highly recommend this sit.
We loved looking after Lucy Lu, she's a real sweetie and loves to play tug-of-war in the house and fetch at the park. We found her very affectionate, lots of cuddles and even joined us on the bed at bedtime. Judy is a pleasure to be around. We hit it off straight away and would love to sit for her again if we are back in the area. The home is beautiful and the local is great. There are lots of cute restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood and a supermarket. It's also only about a 20 min bus ride to downtown.
We had an absolute blast sitting for Lucca, Misty and Coco. We totally fell in love with the three of them over the 3 month period and already miss their little quirks so much! The two dogs, Lucca and Coco, were really easy to look after. Both were really well trained and good with other dogs on the beach. Lucca was adventurous, friendly, independent and energetic and Coco, the clear matriarch of the household, liked nothing more than a cuddle, beating Lucca at fetch & riding like a queen in the front seat of the car. Misty, the cat, was more shy at first but quickly showed her more affectionate side and got into the routine of lots of strokes and cuddles at night. Skip and Pen were equally awesome and welcoming. They are a really cool couple who took the time to get to know us which we really appreciated. They had great communication throughout our stay which proved especially important for a couple of emergency vet trips! Their house, just a few metres from the beach, was also the perfect location to enjoy the local surf and cafe culture. Thanks so much for your kindness and hope to see you all soon!
We had a great time getting to know the energetic and sweet Pirata while enjoying Naples island, which is a beautiful area. Jeff and Antonio were communicative and courteous. Pirata loves to wake up early to watch the birds, so early risers would be best for this guy! Would definitely come back 🥰
Firstly let me start with the dogs.. The two Rotties, Gertrude and Charly are the sweetest most gentle big dogs you could imagine! It was great fun watching them try to get the ball away from each other! The two little ones, Frida and Maritz are so delightful and love to snuggle but also love to romp around the large garden. They are all very affectionate dogs and love to be petted. All of the dogs were so easy to take care of and it was a such a pleasure to sit for these guys! Theo is an amazing cat- more of a dog than a cat! He is so affectionate and likes to hang out with you and the dogs! Loves to be brushed and loves his food!! Mercedes and Diego have a beautiful home in a lovely leafy suburb just outside Buenos Aires. They are wonderful, warm and welcoming. Communication was awesome and instructions were very clear. Mercedes has a wealth of knowledge of where to go, what to see, where to eat, stay etc! She really helped us with the planning of the rest of our time in Argentina. We had a lovely stay at their beautiful home. There are many shops, restaurants etc right on their doorstep. It’s a lovely neighborhood to wander around in. We loved looking after these pups and we really enjoyed meeting Mercedes and Diego.
Geena and Shane were an absolutely wonderful couple to pet sit for. They quickly responded to any questions we had and were very kind. Their home is absolutely beautiful and has the most gorgeous view of the ocean and the Sea World fireworks. Ollie was the sweetest dog ever! His fur is SO SOFT and he is such a cuddle bug. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay in Geena and Shane's home and our time with sweet Ollie.
