Lindsay gets a 10 in every category from us! We had an unusual situation because our flight was cancelled due to bad weather and wasn't rescheduled till the next night, leaving a very short trip, so we cancelled our weekend. We were happy to have Lindsay stay with us for 4 nights since she had made a long drive to get to our home, and we ended up having a delightful time with her. She was a pleasure to be with, incredibly responsive to our dogs and cats, a wonderful house guest, and even offered to cook us a delicious meal with dessert! She communicates quickly and easily prior and during the sit. Our dog Saffron needs some time to warm up to people, and very quickly would not let Lindsay out of her sight and was quite the snuggler with her. She is clearly a mature and responsible person and we highly recommend her for any house sit, anywhere! We hope to see her again and to have she and her husband come stay with us and/or our pets again.
We have just completed one of the best sits that we've done so far, at Sue and Robert's house with gorgeous Isla. We arrived the afternoon before they left and were warmly welcomed by Isla, Sue and Robert. Sue gave us a detailed run-through of their beautiful, very clean house and also took us out for a walk with Isla so we could get an idea of her walk routine. We were also treated to a lovely home-cooked meal and spent the evening getting to know them - they are very gracious hosts. Isla is a very typical, beautiful Cairn terrier - lots of energy, loves attention and company and is very sweet natured. Because her foot had been injured prior to us arriving, we spent a lot of quality time with her, ensuring the foot healed appropriately, and she lapped up all the attention. We were able to go on daily countryside walks accessible straight from the back garden. Isla showed great prowess with carrying sticks back home - she is excellent on lead, with good recall! The house and garden is immaculate and very comfortable - being close to all amenities in Berkhamstead. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Isla, and would not hesitate to recommend this sit to anyone lucky enough be chosen - we would love to return again in future.
I loved dog and cat sitting for Douglas. The cat, Rocky is a real cuddle bug which is how I like my cats. The dogs Belleza and Suzi love attention and even just laying nearby when I was enjoying the beautiful sunsets from the Mirador. They are so cute when they wrestle and keep each other company.
Sian & Philip are reasons why I’m so thankful to be part of the THS community. Their warmth and hospitality were also reflected in their local circle of friends, who embraced me with open arms. I felt so welcomed in a town I did not know. The lovable pups, Cristal & Piaf, so calm and sweet at home, had their cute dispositions and habits: Cristal always seeking a space on my lap, and Piaf demanding belly rubs. They both had their separate doggy beds in the living room, but after a few days, they seemed more comfortable in the bedroom, which was sweet. Once outside, they can be excited by a few things, but there are tricks to manage the enthusiasm. It just takes a bit of patience and a keen eye for the triggers. Sian & Philip’s guide was helpful in this regard. The apartment is so clean and cozy. It’s right in the town center, and the views from the terrace are spectacular. It was a postcard setting to experience the best of Nimes. Thank you again Sian & Philip for trusting me with the pups, and gifting me a glance into la vie nîmoise.

Felicity was very kind and responsive. She gave me a tour of the house the day before and was very thorough. We loved taking care of Teddy. He's very loving and well-behaved. We looked forward to bringing him to the parks so that he could play with other dogs. This was our favourite housesit. We highly recommend!
It was a great experience for me sitting Tom‘s house and lovely Lola. I received a well prepared perfect information letter upfront the stay. So I could prepare myself easily. Tom gave me a precise and detailed handover at my arrival. And Lola was also so friendly and gave me a warm welcome. The house is perfectly and very modern equipped. I could use the nice guestroom upstairs with a very comfortable bed. Lola is very easy to handle in the house. On the beach she loves to be off the lead chasing for a ball.
