Alyssa was great. She is compassionate and caring and showed a great love of animals and took great care of my pet. Contact with Alyssa was very good and she let me know exactly when she was arriving. She is very respectful with a lovely personality. I would recommend her as a very suitable person to look after your pet and would be quite happy to have her back.
Nancy and Ray were incredible house sitters! They were very organized, proactive, and great at communication. One look at their profile and you'll know you couldn't find sitters with more animal experience if you tried. We really enjoyed talking to them and seeing how much they love animals, and we left for our trip knowing our furry and feathered babies would get the same loving care they get from us. They sent us daily updates which helped me to enjoy my own trip because I knew how things were going back home. They were very thorough in preparing for their stay here so they knew everything they needed to know about our home and pets. They also left our house spotless and went above and beyond in their cleanup. I really cannot recommend them highly enough! We would love to have them house sit for us again.

Highly recommend Steph, she is amazing! Our spaniel loves his walks… sits and waits by the door on his walk days. Our dog started walks with Steph at 10months. I was really nervous but Steph was absolutely brilliant. Very knowledgeable and experienced. She made us feel at ease and we knew Rocky was in good hands. Rocky is bit nervous with new people but Steph has persevered with him and we seen a difference within a couple of months which was great to see. He loved his walks, Steph and the other dogs. Steph was recommended to me through a local dog trainer and I’m so glad I found her! I was nervous about letting someone else walk my puppy when I was busy but I was immediately put at ease as soon as I met Steph. She has always been professional, trustworthy and dependable but most importantly my pup ABSOLUTELY LOVES HER and gets super excited to go on her walks! I can’t recommend Steph enough. Our dog has been going for walks with Steph and the Pawsome Crew for over a year (since she was just a little pup) and from the first time we met her I really couldn’t have asked for a better service. She’s professional, reliable, has great communication and captures the best pictures/videos of the pups on their adventures. It’s so lovely to see just how much fun they all have together. Steph took care of our cat Tadhg while we were away and we came home to a very relaxed and happy cat and a clean flat. He definitely seemed the most relaxed he has ever been when we've returned from holidays! We won't hesitate to book Steph again. We enjoyed watching the video updates on Instagram to see how he was getting on and Steph always replied to my messages if I ever needed a bit of extra reassurance that he was fine!
Steph has been a wonder from the very first moment I and my pup met her for a no-obligation meeting. My dog is a rescue and isn't always that confident but Steph has gone at his pace from the start, getting him used to being away from us by doing solo walks around the neighborhood and then working him up to getting into the van and eventually heading out with other dogs. Every time Steph posts photos of the day it warms my heart because he has the biggest happy face on the whole walk! He always comes back and sleeps for hours; a true sign of a satisfied pup! I'd never hesitate to recommend Steph to anyone. She is someone I trust completely and her professionalism and patience has, without a doubt, helped our pup to come along leaps and bounds in his confidence and happiness. Thanks Steph!
Steph has been walking my dog since September 2019 (wow!!!) and I couldn’t fault a single thing. Steph is great with Bailey, she worked so hard on her recall which meant she graduated from the long line and by the looks of her photos, she has a blast! It gave me the confidence to also trust Bailey’s recall and let her off the lead as much a possible, something which I was very scared of. This was done in the very early stages of Baileys walks with Steph as she began her journey on solo walks before joining the lunch crew 2 days per week. We don’t really need a dog walker as we work from home but I can tell how much Bailey benefits from the group walks and it’s amazing to see her pictures at the end of the day. Steph is so lovely and will help out/be flexible where ever she can, truly could not recommend Pawesome Walkies enough!
Can't recommend steph highly enough. It's not easy trusting your dog with a new person but she was so warm and friendly and reassuring. She will also be honest with you if you she doesn't think your dog is the right fit for a pack walk so you know she always has the dogs best interests at heart. Love the daily insta/Facebook updates so I can see what my pooch has been up to! She takes great photos! 👌

We use the doggy day care and the run free fields here and they are great. The staff are so lovely and make us feel really confident about leaving our pup with them for a half day or a full day at the daycare. The run free fields are great value for money and are a great way for us to get a few dogs together to have a run about and play. I've only used the dog house shop a few times but was very impressed by the range of stuff they have in there.
Tomorrow will be Harris's last day at Barklay Park and we will both be sorry to leave. My boy has been there from a baby puppy and he absolutely loves this place, so much so he never looks back at me when he goes in and he comes home shattered from all the fun he has had. The staff are professional and personal and I truly felt happy entrusting my puppy into their care. Thank you x
We can’t recommend Barklay Park highly enough! Our sprocker has been enjoying days at Barklay since he was a puppy and always has the best time. All the staff are kind and compassionate with both us and our dog. They have always been flexible and accommodating with any last minute requests, which makes juggling parenthood and work alongside dog ownership so much easier.
My cockapoo Bramble has been going to Barklay park for the last two years. They are absolutely brilliant with her and I wouldn’t be able to manage having her without them. They are extremely helpful, have an excellent pickup and drop off service, and have so much outdoor grassy space for the dogs. The staff are lovely, very kind and helpful.

A good secure field you can hire by the hour to let the dogs run free without worrying about them escaping. A tree trunk for interest, a paddling pool and tap for those hot days and a shed to shelter from the rain. All you need is your flask of tea.

I cannot sing Barklay Park's praises enough! We have used their Thank Puppy It's Friday service for our collie cross pup. She wasn't very confident around other dogs when she was small and BP were so attentive to ensure she socialised well but didn't get overwhelmed. We started with shorter sessions and built up to the full morning. She came back from every session happy and exhausted, and staff always gave us an update on how she'd been. The photos that BP post on Facebook were an amazing added bonus - they took this beautiful portrait of her last month! BP were absolutely instrumental in our puppy's socialisation and helping her develop into the happy, confident 6 month old pup that she is now! We will be back as soon as she's been spayed!
We've been to a few dog parks around Edinburgh and this is by far their favourite. Lots of space to run, tractor tires to play in and it's used enough that there's lots of interesting smells for them. They're only ready to leave after an hour because they're tired and happy.

Shaneen and Jonny have been walking our 10 year old Border Terrier Molly since January now. We’ve had Molly for almost 2 years after rehoming her, she hasn’t had the best start to life and has been quite reactive with some dogs. Shaneen and Jonny have been very mindful of this and have been working with Molly and introducing her to new dogs so she is comfortable in her pack, or sometimes she just prefers a solo walk. I have no hesitation in recommending Baillie Paws, we trust them completely with Molly who is always well looked after on her walks. We feel lucky to have found them.
Been using Baillie's Paws for a while now and couldn't be happier. My miniature daschound absolutely loves going on her walks and getting regular pictures as updates is brilliant. I love the fact that the dog gets variation and they go on different walks and lots of adventures for my pup!!

I have no hesitation in recommending Christine. She has looked after my dog from puppy to the old senior dog he is now. Riley loves Christine and is always waiting at the door for her pick ups. She is reliable and trustworthy and I know Riley is in good, safe hands when he is with her.
Christine is a trustworthy and extremely reliable lady. Our dog absolutely adores her. Christine keeps me up to date on his progress, and sometimes sends photos of their walks. She keeps him calm, as he is still a puppy. She offers sound advice if I have puppy questions. I would highly recommend Christine.

Lucy has walked and home boarded My dog Lucy for 11 years. She is reliable, honest and looks after my dog extremely well whilst she has her in her care. Very reasonable when needing extra walks and understanding when the dogs are unwell. Dogs health are Christine’s priority! Would not use anyone else!!
Christine has checked on and walked my boys since they were pups. They go absolutely wild when they see her, it's clear that they adore her. One of my boys was paralysed and had back surgery and a long recovery a few years ago, Christine was fabulous throughout the whole recovery, changing our walks to home visits when he couldn't walk, and then back to walks when he had recovered well - always keeping me updated on how he was getting on. I was (and still am) so lucky to have someone I could trust. Flexible, friendly and reliable, can highly recommend
Christine has looked after our dog Alfie and last dog Jenny. She has always looked after them brilliantly and they both adored her. She has gone the extra mile on numerous occasions including going and rescuing a terrified Jenny from our house during a thunderstorm and comforting her till we got home. Both dogs were rescued and being Jack Russells they are on the stubborn side, but Christine has taken the time to get to know them so well, kept them in line and won them over- no mean feat! Simply could not ask for a better service.
I moved into the same area as Christine almost 3 years ago and she has looked after my bulldog Luna when I am working since then. Christine is by far Luna’s favourite person in the world and you you can tell she is well cared for and Christine loves Luna back just as much! As well as an awesome dog walker I have also found a friend in Christine with our shared love of bulldogs. Highly recommend 💚
Christine has been walking and dog sitting Dougal since we moved to Musselburgh over a year ago. Dougal hit it off with Christine from day one and loves his walks. She goes absolutely above and beyond and has saved me at the last minute on a number of occasions due to last minute work changes. I was nervous leaving Dougal over night for the first time but needn't have been he is in the best of hands. Thank you Christine!
Christine is a superb dog walker and my dog is exceptionally well looked after by her. The comments in this review from Paul and Yvonne should be ignored, they are obviously a couple of sad people who spend their time hanging about watching hard working people go about their business. Interesting that they regularly provide reviews on the same businesses, I have a suspicion they are actually the same person. Christine does a wonderful job looking after her dogs, Paul and Yvonne are clearly a couple of very strange people. The other consistent 5 star reviews tell you all you need to know about Scottish Dog Walkers. :)

I've been using Nivensknowe for several years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Alan and all the team are fantastic. Very professional, friendly and willing to accomodate bookings at short notice if they possibly can. They've saved my bacon several times. Best of all, Marv's always very keen to go back in with a lovely welcome from the team.
Richie our miniature dachsund absolutely loves alan and the team , he's always super happy when he gets there and wants to stay when we come and collect
My dog Nala has been coming here for around 2 yrs due to her anxiety of being left alone at home from a few months old. Alan and the team are great with her and she seems to love the staff here to. Nala goes to daycare when we're working and whenever we're going on holiday, shes here for the week or two. I noticed a few negative reviews implying that the pets aren't getting fed as the owners have been handed the food back when picking up their pets. Alan supplies meals of wet, dry or raw depending on what your pet is on and this is included in the price. I cant recommend this place highly enough and I know Nala is well looked after.
After being rushed into hospital Alan & his team looked after my Bordeux " Boss " . I can't thank them enough to the point he made regular trips ether for dog day care & or walks as loved it that much. He would walk away from us never look back & jump into Alan's van , now that speaks volumes!!! Alan & his staff always went above and beyond like Boss was there own I will use no other kennel, full stop !! Thank you so much for making Boss's last months the best , same again this speaks volumes!! Ali

Recently had our cat Burrito stay for 10 days at Nivensknowe while we were on holiday and couldn't recommend it more. They offer pick up and drop off and were happy to update with any questions we had whilst away. The price is also very reasonable. Thank you so much to Alan and the team at Nivensknowe for taking such good care of Burrito!
the council took my cat there due to family problems, he was only there a week and the last visit I saw him FINISHED, They only have a stove that doesn't even heat the hut completely, they don't put a pittance of sand in it so they can relieve themselves.I don't know what they will put in his food but my cat has died and supposedly his kidneys were failing, he stopped walking, he couldn't not even stand up, he vomited a strong yellow liquid as if from poisoning, may he rest in peace Robin 🕊️🤍, the service there is terrible, no one ever serves you and when they do so without interest, there are dogs crying non-stop and it is incredibly cold to the place where they have them. I HOPE I listened to the reviews and didn't leave my cat there. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CREATURES THERE.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 i hope this place closes very soon ,if your animal has died here please contact me!
Left my dog for 3 nights. He got dropped of clean, happy and healthy. Also packed his food with him. When he got picked up he was covered in mud/dirt, all wet and stinky. Had to bath him as soon as he got home. Since he been home he haven't eaten his food and he haven't been his usual self. On top of that he been sick twice (definitely not a dog food he been fed there ) it's actually concerning how they are "looking after" the animals.
