I spent more than a week in Lawrie's home with the delightful Artos. Lawrie made me feel very welcome from the get go. Art and I enjoyed time in the common area out the front, and exploring together on our walks. Art is an affection, playful puppy; we had a lot of fun together. I'd be happy to sit for Lawrie & Artos again and highly recommend them to others.
Chad is such a darling. He's quite large but very cuddly and very sweet. He did run off to visit every dog we came across, and did quite a lot of chasing them and their balls, but he was really good in terms of recall and sticking by us when off lead (the sausages helped!). On lead is quite difficult because he's so big! He does pull, especially if he spots a squirrel! But he was fine to go out into the garden by himself and would bark once at the back door to be let back in. He got a bit excited for the first day and did quite a lot of humping of legs and kept trying to get into our room but settled after that. Jen & Alan's house is comfortable but it's on a surprisingly busy road and a bit of a tricky corner to get in and out of and there's no footpath outside. We weren't entirely sure what bedroom we were supposed to be in as both spare bedrooms were quite full of stuff so we hope we got the right one! The bedrooms are at the front of the house where the road is so it can be noisy, even late at night, with headlights flashing quite frequently.
We had a great time caring for Julie & Charlie’s precious cat trio while they traveled. Prior to the sit, we had a nice chat to go over expectations, and even received thoughtful video walkthroughs which was much appreciated. Jack & Jenny are two peas-in-a-pod who we loved playing with… when they weren’t keeping each other entertained or snoozing in their cat tree, that is! They have easy-to-clean litter boxes and auto feeders that their tummies know the schedule for like clockwork. Hollycat is an absolute doll, and we enjoyed watching her fascination with the outdoors… going from window-to-window to bird and squirrel watch throughout the day. She can be timid, but warmed up to us quickly, which made feeding time uncomplicated, as she was always ready for more window gazing soon afterwards. Julie and Charlie are very gracious hosts, and we had a wonderful time relaxing in their spacious home. We are elated their furbaby crew accepted us into their world, and can’t wait to sit for them again!
Great experience: terrific location, lovely dogs, and a wonderfully communicative Lauren. The apartment is comfy and she's not kidding about being right on the greenbelt for easy hiking access. Daffodil and Ranger are sweet snugglers and very laid back. They respond on the leash to the slightest nuance of direction, and Ranger takes his pills with no trouble 'tall. Low-maintenance, loving dogs and a delightful housesit. Lauren left great instructions and was accessible throughout the housesit. A+ housesit. :-)
This house sit stole our hearts. We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to spend five weeks in Sea Pines with Max and Astro. We give this sit our highest recommendation. Astro is the cutest, softest, smartest dog who brings joy to people wherever he goes. He made us laugh every day with his expressive face and his splashing antics at the pool and beach. He is well trained and walking him on the beautiful Sea Pines trails was a meditative, relaxing ritual. We love him! Max is the best cat - smart, sweet, handsome, and people-oriented. He is a great communicator who will let you know when he wants brushing, a door opened, or a faucet turned on. He had us very well trained :). We loved him immediately. We miss both Max and Astro very much. With two such wonderful pets, it's no surprise that Gigi and Chuck are wonderful people. House sits are the best when the home owners truly want the sitters to enjoy themselves, and Gigi and Chuck went out of their way to make our time in Sea Pines feel like a vacation. They are responsive, generous, organized, and deeply kind. They are also very thoughtful in their sitter selection process. We're so glad we got to know them and plan to stay in touch (and return someday!). If you're not already convinced to apply, our final note is that the location of this sit is beautiful in every way. Gigi and Chuck had the vision to build a gorgeous, well-designed, comfortable home. It was such a pleasure to cook in their kitchen and eat meals on the covered porch. We swam in the pool daily and enjoyed watching the light come down over the tidal marsh. We also enjoyed spotting abundant wildlife around the community - alligators (who keep their distance), dolphins, herons, and small sharks. The beach is an easy walk away, and there is much to see and do within a short bike ride. This is a dream sit! Go apply!
I had a lovely time in Pewsey looking after Belle, she is great company and a very sweet dog. We had some fabulous walks and trips to places in the area and it was nice also to relax in the garden. There is a stream through the back of the garden, lovely to paddle in during hot weather. Hilary communicated everything well and was always responsive if I needed to message her about anything, and provided lots of info about the area. All in all a nice few days away 😀.

Been taking our pups here since 2009 and we all love it! Our pups always come home exhausted from their play! The staff evaluate the dogs to ensure a good fit and friendly atmosphere. They are so sweet and treat our pups like family - so caring and loving. They also offer boarding and grooming services and we recommend those as well. The hours are great and pricing very reasonable. They've been super flexible when we've had a last minute ask for a weekend boarding. We're so lucky and appreciative to have found this gem years ago. I've been a customer here for 14 years, with 4 dogs over those years. My dogs have always loved this place, where they have lots of room to run around, lots of toys to play with, and people who truly love them and get to know each dog. They celebrate birthdays, Santa comes for Christmas pictures, and there is nothing better than Halloween at Bark Avenue! The staff is great, the place is spotless, and my dogs are nice and tired at the end of the day!
We are extremely satisfied with Bark Avenue. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I feel so at ease whenever i drop off my dog because i know that hes going to be in good hands. Sometimes they even post photos or videos on their facebook feed and every once in a while i get to see my pup running around. It makes my day knowing that hes happy and playing with other dogs. I also love that they split up the dogs by energy level, not just size, so i know my small dog is around other pups who wont be too aggressive with him. Im so happy i found this place. And i know my dog loves it too, because he gets so exciting when we ask him if hes ready to go to "school".
So great to be back at Bark Avenue! We moved and started taking our Basset Hound to another day camp. Not sayin’ nothin’ but the name of the franchise rhymes with “Messed Ends” Rather than go into all the problems with them, I’d like to list just a few of the ways in which Bark Avenue distinguishes themselves from the aforementioned chain. 1. Bark Avenue retains customers and staff 2. They recognized Ike (after a 3 year absence) and welcomed him back with great warmth and enthusiasm. 3. Their hours are much more convenient 4. When Ike is bathed or gets his nails trimmed (by Marydean) the work is noticeable. 4. Best of all the director and staff seem to genuinely enjoy the dogs! Bark Avenue is not fancy or pretentious, but we trust them implicitly to care for our “best friend.”
I have a 7 month old rottweiler and I don't know what I'd do without bark avenue to tire her out while I'm at work. Great staff and very fair rates!

My licensed therapy dog was bit terribly. Then, they try to make it sound like it was my dog's fault. My dog is very friendly and has NEVER had an incident. I'm now sitting at the animal hospital because my dog has severe wounds from the attack. Never again!

Jack and his associate did a fantastic job looking in on my cat while I was away for a week. She is used to my almost constant presence, so it is hard for her when I am not there. But, she adapted to Jack and Michelle very well, which helped her to be less anxious. They are consummate professionals, and I would recommend them to anyone. This is my second experience with their great service, and I will be back!
My wife and I have a cat who, while adorable, is rambunctious to say the least. He's friendly around people but is picky about play and how he is petted. And I would certainly hate to leave him alone! But Jack, Michelle, and Asher take such great care of him that I've been coming back ever since we first tried out Your Pet's Best Friend while we went on a vacation. I particularly appreciate the communication I receive--daily texts, videos, and questions about what to do in certain scenarios tell me that my little furry guy is being taken care of each day he is visited. I also really enjoy that during the warmer months, Jack will water plants. Thanks to him we had some very successful tomato yields! I also appreciate that traditional peak times--Thanksgiving/Christmas/etc--are not a problem for checking up. Last minute availability is also not a problem; I've given Jack sometimes as little as 24 hours notice and he's been able to accommodate watching our cat. Jack was exceedingly professional at our first meeting, and he asks all the questions you would hope that someone watching your pet would ask. You can't go wrong if you need a sitter for the day, for a weekend, or even for a month (all lengths of time I've used him for). I highly recommend if you're looking for someone to care for your furry friends.
I have been using Jack for midday visits to my home since January of 2018. I remember when he came over for the first time to meet me and my animals. I was interviewing a few different people, and Jack was the one that exuded confidence and professionalism. I felt like I could trust him with my two rambunctious pit bulls, which required a higher degree of responsibility. The choice was pretty easy. Not only does he provide great care to the resident dogs, he is always accommodating to the many senior foster dogs that I have had over the years. He texts me after every visit, and his narratives are detailed and frequently humorous. He is proactive about holidays and asks if he is needed or not, and always gives plenty of notice for his vacations. I have no reservations about recommending Jack for pet care needs.

I should be embarrassed to admit this, but since I don't have children, it's fair to say I treat my dogs as if they were my kids. Jack has been there for all our dog walking and pet-sitting needs. If I'm working late, it's comforting knowing our pups are getting a walk and fresh air during the day. Jack's fantastic and has always been flexible if we need a sitter for the day or overnight. Jack's affordable, quick to respond (even when I have a last-minute request), and he takes his work seriously. You can tell his love of animals is genuine and he provides little notes and updates on our pups (who took care of business, where they went) and is reliable and trustworthy. My dogs love him! And they love only the best people (actually, they love everyone and Jack is no exception).
Jack is amazing. I have a rescue cat who does not do well when I leave him for extended periods of time. Jack was SO patient and caring with my cat while I was gone. Jack takes his job seriously and would send me a daily update every morning which eased my anxiety for leaving my cat so long. Cannot say enough good things about Jack and I would highly recommend!

Jen is truly one of the best dog walkers out there. Our dog Oscar is obsessed with her - to the point where she tries to walk quietly by our house if she's going to walk our neighbor's dog so he doesn't hear her! On Oscar's first birthday, I was traveling for work and Jen took Oscar to the store to get him a birthday cake toy. It's the smaller, thoughtful things like this that make her irreplaceable in our pup's life. She also takes super cute pictures (attached) and sends an email about how each walk went. She makes leaving Oscar for work trips less hard because I know that he'll be so excited to see her when she comes for his walk!
Jen and the Shawe's team have been walking my family's dogs for 7 years or so. They have always gone above and beyond to accommodate shifting schedules, schedule or cancel on short notice, and even pick up the phone to talk about any pet concerns we might have (unrelated to them! just for advice!). My pup Ollie loves seeing his walkers and I could not do my job without the peace of mind that someone responsible will come take him out and play with him while I work. When we first moved to Philadelphia, our dog was very shy and timid around walkers that we would hire through various apps, but then Jen came and saved the day. She goes above and beyond to make Benji comfortable and now he gets excited when we just say her name. I’ve used Jen and her walkers for over 5 years now and I honestly would never use any other dog walking service in Philly. She is trustworthy, reliable, AND LOVES all of her dogs. And my dog absolutely loves her dog walkers, as I’ve been able to see a couple times when my dog will go running toward them, tail wagging if we happen to bump into them on the street. Jen uses an easy-to-use app to schedule walks/pay invoices and to see the daily walk reports which is super convenient. Also Jen makes herself available for every client and will always try her best to accommodate any late requests - I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve had to put in a last minute request for a same-day dog walk or for an overnight stay the week-of and Jen will always make it work. Aside from that, it’s great to get pictures of my dog on her walk while I’m at work - I truly never have to worry Sophie when I’m not at home because I know she’s in such great hands. Jen and her team has been taking care of our dog since he was brought into our family as a puppy! From consistent walks, amazing walkers and just all around dog people to overnight stays, she has been there for us throughout his life (and will be for the many years yet to come)! Jen is understanding and flexible with last minute changes, which for us happen a lot! Her walkers leave a note about their walk every time and even text/call us from time to time with updates. I have never noticed a thing out of place in out of place after a walker left. The Shawe's Paws team is the only team I trust to take the best care of our dog! Jen has been in my dog's life for years (even though we've since moved to the suburbs.) She and her staff are flexible, reliable, and they LOVE their charges/pets. They truly understand my quirky, sweet dachshund and he loves them for it. He even got to sleep over Jen's house!! Jen is super responsive and capable and she chooses excellent staff members. There is absolutely no one I would trust more with our pups than Shawe's Paws. They are fantastic and dependable for daily walks, and they are there for you if you need to travel without your dog. Shawe's email updates provide you with a story about your dog's walk and a number of pictures as well. We have been a client for six years now. We have no idea what we would do without Shawe's Paws!
We reached out to Five Paws very last minute to see if they would be able to watch our dog who had significant medical needs. They were wonderful from start to finish and I was so confident each time that she was in such great care. We've previously had her boarded and she would seem so stressed when we picked her up. We were desperate to find an alternative and we didn't look back once we started using Five Paws. They give updates, pictures and each time we came home she was as happy as can be. They provided such peace for us knowing she was in good hands and was happy especially given all of her medical concerns (dog dementia, blindness, hard of hearing, pain, etc..). Our Sahara has since passed but I would use them again and again with any dogs we may have in the future and cannot recommend them enough.
I don't trust anyone else with my pets when I'm away! I love that I know I will get photos of my cats and a report of how the visit went from the sitter. They take time to give the cats individual attention, not just coming in to feed, clean, and leave. Scheduling is very easy and the rates are reasonable.
Hi: Kudos to Five Paws Recently had Five Paws cat sit our cats and pond fish. The team at Five Paws hit a homerun with us. The team is very professional, respectful and loving to our gang. The team of Melinda and Blythe were so observant of our pets, even going out of the way to feed our strays, without blinking an eye. Special shout out to Melinda who really saved the day as she was feeding the fish in our pond, when she noticed that one of our goldfish got stuck in the filter. Without any hesitation she jumped in to save him, which would have been a disaster if she didn't as he would have passed and fouled the pond water. Five Paws has taken excellent care of all my pets (rabbit, cat, mice) for many years now and they do an excellent job! They were even able to give my cat pills (in pill pockets) and coordinated with my vet once when she stopped eating and I could not be reached. We have been using Five Paws for a few years now, for small weekend trips or week long vacations. They have been so wonderful with our pups. It is a relief to know my dogs are in good hands and they can remain comfortable in their own space while we are away, instead of in a kennel which would stress my 13 year old pup too much. We used Five Paws for our cat while we were on vacation. It was the first time we left her behind without family checking in, and I was a nervous wreck. Faith was our sitter, who took wonderful care of our girl. After every visit, we'd receive an update with multiple pictures. We've already put in our vacation request days for this summer!
I HIGHLY recommend hiring Five Paws of Delco! The owner is fantastic, the scheduling process is so simple, and all of the sitters are wonderful! They are EXTREMELY reliable and trustworthy, which is so important when you're away. They also have a great app used to communicate with each sitter and to see pics of your pups! I always receive such a sweet and detailed update from our sitter after every visit. I had an experience where I was out of the country using a different sitter (not Five Paws of Delco) who was supposed to watch my dogs at their house for the week. They decided that they no longer wanted to watch them after a couple days, so they dropped them back off at my house, alone. I was panicking, just having arrived in another country, so I reached out to Five Paws of Delco who immediately responded and scheduled multiple last minute visits for me. I cannot thank them enough for being there during this very stressful time! It's so comforting to know we always have them available to sit for our dogs. I promise you won't regret hiring this company!
We have been using Five Paws for a little over two years for noontime walks and visits for our miniature poodle. They are absolutely the best to work with! Jenn is highly responsive and accommodating. Their staff love what they do and our dog adores all of his Five Paws friends! I trust anyone from Five Paws that comes in to our home. I also love that there is a modern portal for scheduling and billing. We love Five Paws!
When dogs chew the plastic, it needs to be replaced, when they have an accident, it needs to be cleaned immediately, so they n employees don’t fall. Aggressive dogs can not be mixed in, you end up at hospital. If someone that knows what they are talking about offers suggestions, listen. Keep dogs moving, people want dogs having fun, playing, interacting, unless they can’t n are elderly. When they come home from work they are tired and their dog should be happy to see them but also feel like they had a busy day. Not , gee! Me, me, me, let’s walk n play for hours now, I had hours of boredom while you were at work! No non spayed or neutered, all shots. If any chance of illness…no do not endanger 50 for 1. The location has the ability to be wonderful. N children should not be brought in to middle to lay around n play with dogs. It is a business, dogs are wonderful animals but once you put 5 together anything can happen. It’s not a child day care a I repeat, kids do not belong on the floor with clients dogs. If a dog bites once you are putting him at risk for bitting again. Step on them, if you bang into them n they have cancer n you don’t know it, a nice dog will bite. You now created an issue for dog owner because you thought it would be fun to have your kids on the floor of a dog day care/ boarding business.
Very expensive for a fair job. I left it to the groomer’s discretion and although my girl was very pretty when I picked her up, they barely cut any hair. i will need to bring her for a haircut elsewhere and pay a nominal fee. Anyway $95 dollars for a wash and a trim for a 10 pound dog is absurd. I will not be returning. Chris and Zoe
Amazing service! I first sent Chloe just for grooming. Then she has done doggy daycare a few days as needed. Always is happy when she sees where we are going. Lia and the team are AWESOME!!!
Our favorite doggy day care spot! Our dog, Houie, goes a few days a month and he absolutely loves the whole team there. He goes running in as soon as we walk through the door. Highly recommend!
They did a wonderful job grooming my Corgi! Everyone there is friendly and their prices are very reasonable. So happy we have a new groomer!

I have two rescue dogs who I have to board occasionally, they have high anxiety and we have had bad experiences at previous places but I feel so comfortable leaving my dogs at Fuzzy Butts. It is clear all of the staff I have met care so much for the dogs here and treat them as their own. My dogs who hate going places, love going here even to board! The staff are so accommodating and they communicate so well during their stay.
Our daniff goes to fuzzy butts for regular daycare and boarding. When we get out of the car he runs to the front door and is genuinely excited to see everyone and spend time with his other doggie friends. He had major separation anxiety and a very particular diet due to his size (he needs three meals plus a day) and fuzzy butts has been more than accommodating. The staff are extremely friendly and we love the daily picture updates!
Fuzzy Butts is top tier! The staff is extremely friendly and personable. They go above and beyond to make your pup feel at home. On top of all that, their facility is state of the art. I am extremely happy that my dog is a Fuzzy Butts pup!
Lisa is incredible. She has helped me so tremendously I can’t even put it into words. My cat Homer is a 16 year old newly diagnosed with diabetes, which makes leaving for holidays and events a bit harder due to his injections. Lisa has helped me more times than I can count, and Homer loves her! It is such a weight off my mind that he is being cared for so well. She sends updates and photos and is always so generous with her time. I can’t imagine what this past year would have been like without her help.
I have used Lisa Burke from Family Style Pet Sitting as my pet sitter for 13 years now. My old dog would actually get excited when he saw us packing for vacation because he knew he was going to go to Lisa’s house for his “vacation.” I never worried about him because I knew he was in the best possible hands. When he was sick and required special care and medicine, she was the only one I trusted. She also takes care of my two cats and my new dog, and she used to take care of my chickens when we had them as well. Highly recommend!!
Lisa was a God send for our family. We had a vacation planned which got changed around a few times due to a family emergency. Lisa was ready at every corner to adjust as she was able. My dog Sadie goes here for regular baths and nail clipping. She is always happy to go so I know they treat her well. She comes out smelling and looking well groomed and wagging her tail! The staff is always friendly and genuinely care for your furry baby!
Our Dalmatian, Neuhaus loves his visits so much when he sees me packing up his food & toys the whimpering begins. He really enjoys the play time with his friends and we love the Pet Cam! It makes our vacation less stressful knowing he is having fun in a safe loving environment.

Over the past few years I boarded my dogs at Best Friends for weekend or week long stays. Having the opportunity to “check in” via video is a terrific addition to the boarding service. My dogs have always been happy when they realized they were going to spend time at Best Friends. Their reaction as we entered the doors made me feel they had a good time during previous visits. I highly recommend Best Friends!
Staff was welcoming as soon as I walked into the door; pleasant, greeting, and top shelf hospitality. Tabby, our calico cat, was not stressed or scared as she entered the cat boarding area. Will definitely use again!

Our pooch loves Best Friends like it's her second home. We've been boarding our dog here for about 3 years and the staff has always been phenomenal. Everyone is very friendly and it's a very welcoming environment. I admittedly get nervous when my dog and other dogs "meet," but she always does great at group play at Best Friends. I don't know what kind of magic they work but I get a little bit of a "training session" myself each time I chat with the staff at Best Friends when I pick her up. They're all great people and willing to provide helpful tips.
From my experience Best Friends always keeps our dog happy safe and well fed during his trips there. Anytime I have a concern or question or change in schedule they always try to accommodate. They love seeing Charlie’s face when he arrives and their new groomer has bonded with him which is not easy to do!!!
Best Friends is our ultimate doggy destination! My German shepherd Moon is so excited to attend the day camp at Best Friends, he practically pulls me through the door. Moon has such a blast playing with his furry friends and the staff who clearly adore dogs, and always comes home happy and ready to conk out for a well-deserved nap. And thanks to the clean environment - NO doggy daycare funk!! We have also used Best Friends for longer stays, and Moon always comes back the same tired, happy pup. Knowing that he is having fun and being well cared for allows us to relax and enjoy our time away.
My two golden doodles were well taken care as first time boarders by very experienced staff that were highly responsive to the individual needs of my dogs. Planning, drop off, and pick up were well coordinated and timely. I will definitely be using Best Friends Pet Hotel in the future and highly recommend their services.
Complete Pet Care's name says it all - Complete Sending daily photos, including funning stories of what Pi did, taking my dog to nearby parks for a change of scenery, shutting my freezer all the way (my fault), bringing in my mail. I feel so comfortable leaving my house and Great Dane in Shade's hands.
Shade is a true animal lover and I would highly recommend Complete Pet Care to anyone with pets! Our dog loves her and they had a connection as soon as they met. Shade provides our dog with walks during the week, which have been so helpful in allowing our dog to get her energy out while we are at work. She is reliable, flexible, and very communicative by sending pictures, videos, and updates after every visit. Additionally, she has been a huge help with checking in on/feeding our 2 cats when we go away. As someone who loves their pets and is hesitant to trust other people with them, I feel completely at ease knowing that Shade is taking the best care of them!
