Lorena and Thomas have made a wonderful home in the centre of Berlin, with a beautiful apartment and five perfect animals. We spent a week with their two cats, Keiko and Gatilde, who are incredibly friendly and have adorable little personalities that we now miss very much! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their lovely, modern apartment, which was very convenient for both travelling to/from the airport and enjoying the city. Lorena took the time to create videos for us prior to our stay, to explain where the pet food was, how to use the washing machine etc, which was incredibly helpful. We had the opportunity to have dinner with Lorena and Thomas before they left on their trip, and to meet their three wonderful dogs who were not staying for the duration of the sit, but were just delightful. Lorena and Thomas are lovely, accommodating people and we'd love to look after their home and their pets again.
Sherry and Chris were excellent and kind hosts. They have a beautiful house in an excellent location. Macy, Kimi, & Grace are just the best! They have a very easy to follow schedule and don’t require walks. Macy and Kimi love to cuddle and are very loving dogs. Grace is very skittish so you have to be patient when dealing with her. Taking her on walks and petting her are the best way to her heart, but it can be hard to get close at first. It’s very rewarding once she starts getting comfortable around you though! Overall, the dogs are amazing and I would love to housesit with them again!!
Wow! Sitting for Jen and Gerrit's three darlings was an absolute dream. Jen and Gerrit are exceptionally well organized and provided me with clear instructions and detailed communications before and during my extended 3 week sit which made things run so smoothly. Sadie has stolen my heart and is just the sweetest dog who was my best friend for the entire stay. She is so loving and kind, playful, and smart and has a wonderful personality that is just so nice to be around. So well trained and well behaved, too. I miss her so much already! Smokey and Bandit (the cats) took longer to warm up to me... like cats... than Sadie (who sat in my lap when I first met her), but are also such sweethearts - they like cuddles once they warm up to you. All around, the stay was simply perfect. In addition to the amazing animals, the home is stunning and cozy and also well situated in Calgary to give great access to the whole city, the mountains, and also has two fantastic dog parks nearby. I can't wait for an opportunity to sit with these wonderful animals again! Thanks Jen and Gerrit for sharing your home and loved ones with me. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
Our almost month long sit at Linda and Norms's was superb. Honestly, so many good things to say! They invited us to come a few days early so we could get acquainted with the animals and house chores. Right away, we fell in love with her well-behaved dogs (x4) - all of whom have a different, very special, personality of their own. The cats (x5) are outdoor cats which made caring for them extremely simple. There were also chickens, pigs, and horses (x7) on the property but they have local caretakers who are responsible for them. We even got to ride the horses which was a big bonus for us <3 Since it was rainy season during our stay, we spent a lot of time at home. However, the property, which has a small pool, was beautiful and we feel like we got a taste of retired life here :) The 2 closest towns in either direction is a 20-30 minute drive and it is not a great idea to drive to at night so if you're someone looking to socialize/have nightlife, this might not be the sit for you. Anyway, each time we did go to town, we made an experience out of it and appreciated the change in scenery. Overall, Linda was extremely communicative during our stay making it easy for us if we had any questions. We would easily sit again in a heart beat. We were lucky enough to stay with Modi, Gigi and Jolie for 4 nights in East Williamsburg! Both amazing dogs who love to chill out and cuddle on the couch. Jolie is a ferret and super easy to take care of, too. Thank you Jesse and Alessia for leaving a PDF guide with instructions for feeding the dogs and great places to visit in the area. Had a great time in NY!
Lauranne was very welcoming and kind. Her dogs, Chu and Sunnie, are 2 of the sweetest dogs you could hope to meet.
